The Dwarves Gameplay Trailer

fBREMEN, Germany (June 3, 2016) — The Dwarves is back and with a fine new gameplay trailer too, featuring the perfect soundtrack for tactical pause and play combat. Developer KING Art Games also has an update on the game’s timeline.

Beta is Now Live
Later today, the Beta starts for everyone who supported The Dwarves on its successful Kickstarter campaign last year (slacker backers can still get it from our store: http://tinyurl.com/TheDwarvesStore). KING Art Games has already received great feedback from the alpha, which has helped to massively improve The Dwarves even further. For example, the idea for an optional pause-function during the real-time combat came from the players. By widening the player base significantly through the Beta, KING Art Games is looking forward to receiving even more feedback, criticism and ideas from The Dwarves community.

Fall Release Window
The final release of The Dwarves will shift slightly from Summer to Fall 2016. Reason number one is to be able to implement all community feedback, whilst reason number two is so that there is a simultaneous release on PC and consoles, digitally and in traditional retail worldwide.

Development on The Dwarves is mostly complete: all characters are ready, the story is done, the voice-acting is finished, the orchestra and the chorus have performed their art and Girdlegard, the game’s world, shines in all its splendor. If you are eagerly awaiting The Dwarves’ release, you can already add it to your Steam wishlist: http://store.steampowered.com/app/403970

Crytek Releases New Warface Special Op

FRANKFURT, Germany – June 2, 2016 – A futuristic threat is buried within an ancient pyramid in Anubis, the expansive new Special Operation coming today to Crytek’s free-to-play online shooter, Warface.

Anubis – named after the god of death himself – is an epic three-stage co-op mission set in Eastern Africa, where players must battle hard, smart and as a team. Gamers must work through a network of bases, culminating in an assault on a pyramid, to disrupt Blackwood’s villainous operations.

The action comes thick and fast from the moment the team is inserted into the landing zone, where enemies are at the gate of a missile facility. After infiltrating the complex and disabling the control room, defended by deadly automatic turrets, players must repel assaults from all sides as they battle through a canyon to reach a heavily fortified dry dock. Then it’s time to blow up a Blackwood submarine. Once this objective is completed, players take the fight to the heart of Anubis’ pyramid, which houses a clandestine cyborg factory. Gamers must disable the facility and then survive waves of relentless attacks as a sandstorm engulfs the battlefield before extraction.

The new Special Operation’s three diverse stages require players to combine the strengths of the game’s four different classes to take on and eliminate a wide range of enemies. Gamers must adapt their tactics for each stage, from clearing out buildings at close-quarters to holding a defensive line in the face of marauding cyborgs, if they are to complete this action-packed new mission.

Anubis is the latest co-op Special Operation to launch for Warface. New maps, missions, weapons, items, weapon skins and challenges are regularly added to the game as Warface evolves to serve its ever-growing community.

Neoglyphic Entertainment Unveils NeoFur for Unreal Engine 4

CAMPBELL, CA – June 1, 2016 Neoglyphic Entertainment, a storytelling company built for the digital age, today announced the availability of its NeoFur cross-platform, real-time fur-and-fiber technology for Epic Game’s Unreal Engine 4. Whether it’s a fuzzy creature for a game, a soft blanket or carpet in an architectural visualization, or a nature landscape in a high-end cinematic sequence, NeoFur enables animation and game studios to tackle the creation of fuzzy and fibrous characters, objects and surfaces at a fidelity level never before possible in a real-time engine.

“Films like Disney’s Zootopia have shown us the beauty that fur can bring to a production, but at a high cost. With NeoFur, studios of any type can afford high-end technology that dramatically enhances the look of their environments and characters,” said Carlos Montero, Neoglyphic’s Technical Art Director. “There’s no reason a studio needs to spend valuable time and money to achieve believable looking fur, as NeoFur’s solution saves time and costs while providing breathtaking results.”

NeoFur leverages shell-rendering techniques, creating a beautiful illusion of millions of strands of fur.  Patent-pending advances have allowed the use of compute shaders and other advanced shading strategies to take that technique to the next level, bringing fast simulation, realistic physics, and unique Level-Of-Detail systems designed to combat fill-rate. Ultimately, this allows NeoFur to be extremely versatile, allowing it to be authored for PC and mobile games, as well as VR platforms such as Oculus and HTC Vive, and gaming consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

“Creating realistic fuzzy objects and surfaces has always been a difficult and time consuming process,” said Epic Games Founder and CEO Tim Sweeney. “Our team’s experience with NeoFur has been an extremely straightforward process. The performance is exemplary – and highlights the strength of an engine like Unreal. With the same asset pipeline, NeoFur on UE4 scales across high-end cinematic production all the way to mobile platforms.”

Additionally, NeoFur was one of just five teams that Epic Games recently awarded as part of its Unreal Dev Grants program. Epic created this program to reward innovative projects built for, and with, its Unreal Engine 4 development tool.

NeoFur’s licensing options are aimed at providing access to the technology for individuals, indie studios and AAA studios.  For pricing and sales information, please visit http://www.neoglyphic.com/neofur.

Space Run Galaxy: Gameplay Trailer

May 27 2016 – Focus Home Interactive and Passtech Games are joining forces again to release Space Run Galaxy on PC this year. Space Run Galaxy is the sequel to 2014’s Space Run, the game from one-man studio Passtech, which attracted over hundreds of thousands of players with its dynamic and original gameplay.

Today’s Gameplay Trailer showcases all the main gameplay mechanics from the game. Buck Mann, one of the greatest runners in the galaxy, lets you in on some trade secrets. Players must defend their ship and its cargo as it travels the stars to deliver goods to their clients across an entire galaxy, with four solar systems and over 50 zones to visit. The brand new Gameplay Trailer shows the game’s unique spin on tower defense with brand new features including a persistent online universe where you can trade and run for other players.

Balance creativity and efficiency with Space Run Galaxy’s shipyard! Players can build and customize their spaceships: from the shape and colours of the body to the guns. Then they can attach connectors and upgraders to improve the abilities of their weapons, shields, and utilities. Modules can also have active abilities that either temporarily change the attributes of the weapon or fire an overcharged shot in a direction of your choosing.

The brand new cast of characters and clientele are wackier than ever before! Space Runners can dare to bring more cargo, but more cargo means less guns and less guns means more problems. To add to the fun, the weird and wacky clientele of Space Run Galaxy have all sorts of new and dangerous cargo to deliver.

The persistent online universe lets you take on contracts from your fellow players, or hire them to ship goods for you – in exchange for a reward of your choice. If you’re so inclined, you can even corner the online Black Market – buy low, sell high, and soon you’ll be the contraband kingpin of your sector!

As the dangers get deadlier and the stakes become higher, players can eventually increase the size of their ships and unlock more powerful weapons. After all, only the greatest runners will stand a chance against the mysterious perils of the galaxy… if you thought pirates and asteroids were the worst of it, you ain’t seen nothing yet!

Space Run Galaxy releases in June for PC.

Heroes & Generals – Videolog: ‘Devyatayev – Squad’ update

May 27th, 2016 Copenhagen — Reto-Moto introduces a new Squad experience for the popular WWII MMOFPS Heroes & Generals, changing the way players fight together, bringing them closer to each other, improving the gameplay experience and supporting their efforts towards victory.

Furthermore, the ‘Devyatayev – Squad’ Update brings the new Soviet T-20 Komsomolets terrain vehicle, new camouflage uniforms for all factions, the German Panzerwurfmine and more exciting news.

The new Squad feature helps new and Veteran players to get together and fight to succeed on the battlefield. Every Squad member benefits from each other by being awarded experience for fighting together in a Squad and for achievements on the battlefield. Additionally, for every Squad member with a Veteran Membership, every other member gets a five percent bonus of the Veteran Membership for free.

“Soldiers go to war fighting for their country but end up fighting for their friends. The new Squad system makes it much easier to stay and fight with your friends and find new ones” says Jacob Andersen, Game Director at Reto-Moto. “We all know that working together as a team greatly enhances your chance for success. The team at Reto-Moto has worked hard on this new feature for many months and we are all really proud to deliver the new Squad system so our players can be more successful on the battlefields.”

The Soviet T-20 Komsomolets is a Squad-friendly vehicle, with plenty of space for soldiers to hitch a ride to the frontline. Squads can quickly advance from one control point to the next, while being protected by light armor and supported by a light machine gun – an uber-useful vehicle for all Soviet Squads!

All factions receive new camouflage uniforms, which help soldiers to stay unseen in any kind of terrain. Additionally, having similar camouflage uniforms in a Squad can be a fantastic way to show you fight together, even if you fulfill different roles.

For the German troops, we introduce the new Panzerwurfmine, which is a throwing anti-tank grenade that grants more mobility than the existing ground or magnetic mines.

The ‘Devyatatev’ update is named after the Soviet Soldier Mikhael Petrovich Devyatayev, who managed to escape a labour camp with the help of three other soldiers. His story is representative of the whole update’s significance: Working together will lead to success.

The full changelog for the ‘Devyatayev – Squad’ update can be found here.
