Horror Deckbuilder INFERIUS Debuts New Trailer

Lucid Rain Studios is thrilled to debut a horrifying new trailer for INFERIUS, its upcoming horror deckbuilder, as part of this weekend’s Endix digital event. The trailer is accompanied by a new demo that features a mix of first-person horror traversal and creepy card gameplay. Players can also check out the virtual demo of INFERIUS at Endix from May 23rd – 24th, located on the second floor. The Lucid Rain team designed their own custom booth based on INFERIUS for Endix, which was both a chance to let the game’s design shine and a challenge for the team.

“Our goal for the booth was to create a space that is unmistakably INFERIUS before a single gameplay trailer plays. An environment where the theme does the work, where a player can step in and immediately understand the tone, the tension, and the world the studio has built,” said Inferius Game Director Rosche Reeder.

“Building a digital booth meant making real creative decisions, not just slapping up a banner and a monitor, but designing an atmospheric space from scratch. What does this world feel like? What should someone sense the moment they walk in? The horror theme wasn’t a backdrop to work around. It was the foundation on which everything was built,” said Reeder.

You can check out the demo and booth for yourself by downloading Endix on Steam. The Lucid Rain Studios team will be checking in at the booth throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, along with dedicated time from 3 – 5PM Eastern.

The INFERIUS demo covers the game’s full first dominion, including its branching paths, exploration segments, card battles, and the newly revealed boss encounter. Each run reshuffles encounter types across the map, so no two descents into Limbo play the same way.

WAR SAILS Expands With Major New Patch

TaleWorlds Entertainment today announced the release of a major new patch for both MOUNT & BLADE II: BANNERLORD and War Sails, its naval expansion [WS v1.2 / BL v1.4]. The updates introduce a wealth of new content and improvements across both titles, marking the latest milestone in TaleWorlds’ ongoing commitment to expanding and evolving both Bannerlord and the War Sails experience.

The War Sails expansion launched in November 2025, and player feedback has played a central role in shaping the direction of post-launch development. This update reflects that ongoing dialogue, and TaleWorlds would like to thank the community for their continued support and input. That support has been echoed by the games press, with many outlets praising the expansion’s ambition and impact on Bannerlord’s core experience:

SEABORNE VILLAGE RAIDS (War Sails)

The centrepiece of the War Sails update v1.2 is the introduction of Seaborne Village Raids – a brand new feature that brings the brutal coastal assault tactics of the Viking era to both the Campaign and Mission gameplay.

Players and AI lords can now launch or defend raids on coastal settlements directly from the sea or rivers, requiring shallow draft ships and a crew of at least 15 troops. Village militia will assess the balance of power and either stand and fight – triggering a seaborne village raid mission – or yield, allowing looting to begin immediately. The feature deepens naval strategy, increases lord activity at sea, and introduces new fleet considerations that add fresh layers to campaign planning.

Seaborne Village Raids play out across 16 newly designed coastal scenes that offer a distinct and replayable mission experience for War Sails players. This headline addition arrives  alongside a broad range of further updates and improvements to both War Sails and Bannerlord, including:

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Updates

  • HIDEOUTS – Improved hideout gameplay with more flexible stealth options and distinct rewards for stealth and assault approaches.
  • DIPLOMACY – Overhauled diplomacy featuring smarter wars, deeper alliances, trade agreements, and meaningful consequences that reflect the evolving political landscape.
  • BATTLES & SIEGES – Refined combat with more forgiving outcomes, smarter AI, and improved unit balance.
  • ARMY CHANGES – Armies now require a more substantial force to form and will disband more quickly if too weak to attack, resulting in fewer but stronger armies on the map. This also leaves more noble parties free to respond to threats, strengthening settlement defence – while auto-resolved sieges now take twice as long, giving reinforcements time to arrive.

War Sails Updates

SEABORNE VILLAGE RAIDS – Coastal villages can now be raided directly from the sea or rivers, with village militia either standing their ground or yielding – triggering different outcomes across both Campaign and Mission gameplay.
INCREASED NAVAL ACTIVITY – Enemy nobles now actively target coastal ports and sea lanes during wartime, while rebalanced AI drives greater naval travel across all factions – increasing the frequency of meaningful encounters at sea.
NAVAL BATTLE MISSION CHANGES – Naval battles have been refined for a smoother, more engaging experience. Players can now delegate control of their ship to the crew, freeing them to move and fight independently.
NEW ROLES & WANDERERS – Two new naval party roles bring more options to crew management, alongside three new Nord wanderer types.
2 NEW SHIPS – The Battanian Barlinnger, a slower, sturdier vessel built for larger engagements with strong ranged capabilities, and the Nord Battle Knarr, a reinforced ship designed to carry ballistae and larger crews.
NEW BODY ARMORS & HELMETS – Two new body armours – the Reinforced Mail Coat and the Nordic Long Heavy Mail – arrive alongside nine new Nord helmets, including the Nordic Spectacle Helmet and the Brass Vendel Helmet.

Mr. Karate Comes to Season 2 of FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves

SNK CORPORATION today announced that Mr. Karate, the fifth DLC fighter for FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Season Pass 2, will join the roster on May 27, 2026.

Mr. Karate debuted in 1992’s ART OF FIGHTING as the game’s final boss. It was revealed that the man behind the mask was none other than Takuma Sakazaki, founder of Kyokugen Karate. But he wasn’t the only one to do it. Takuma’s son, Ryo Sakazaki, took up the mantle himself in FATAL FURY: WILD AMBITION—and thus Mr. Karate II was born. Now, Mr. Karate sounds… Italian?

The Monstrous Tengu Mask, Mr. Karate

  • Voice Actors: River Vitae (EN), Go Shinomiya (JA)
  • Bio: A mysterious martial artist in a tengu mask. His name and visage evoke memories of a fearsome fighter who, long ago, sowed discord throughout South Town. And yet his strength and skill are all his own—a polished practitioner of the Kyokugen style whose sheer might surpasses current head Marco Rodrigues himself. The verdict among all who fall to the mask is brutally clear: what lies beneath is no mere man, but a true tiger unleashed.

Mr. Karate in Arcade Mode and Episodes of South Town (EOST)

  • Arcade Mode: Mr. Karate encounters hungry wolves on the prowl as he seeks out a secret fighting art—and the peak of his potential. What awaits is the ultimate showdown, and the ultimate test…
  • Episodes of South Town: Follow Mr. Karate’s lively journey through South Town in search of worthy warriors. Who among them will reach the pinnacle of power?

Players who want to get to know the man under the mask can either pick up Season Pass 2 for $19.99 / €19.99 if they already own the base game, or purchase FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Legend Edition (Season Pass 1 + 2) for $49.99 / €49.99. Additionally, the Standard Edition of FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves is now available for $19.99/€19.99, and Season Pass 1 is available for $14.99/€14.99.

Major Update: Crusade Mode 1.0

A major update brings the roguelite-style Crusade Mode to its full 1.0 version. This challenging new gameplay feature focuses on building a basic army and fighting through waves of enemies to reclaim vital Imperial worlds. The major update includes:

  • Can select three lengths of Crusade, Short (1 planet), Medium (2) and Long (3);
  • Each planet has a number of zones, each with a number of battles within it against the same enemy faction;
  • Each Zone also has its own unique gameplay modifier and completing a zone gives a significant resource bonus and also a one-off choice of additional rewards;
  • The army starts with 1000 army cap, but only 500-600 points worth of units within it. Players are free to spend some of the initial resources to customize the starting force;
  • After each battle players earn HQ Tokens and Requisitions equal to the current Income for those two resources. This is shown in red on the strategy map. Income can be increased by some zone rewards.

Security 51 Playtest is Now Live on Steam

Alawar is excited to announce that the playtest for Security 51, an atmospheric horror security guard simulator, is now live on Steam. Inspired by Papers, Please and SCP-style paranoia, Security 51 puts players on duty deep inside Area 51, where every shift begins with a simple task: scan the staff, verify their clearances, and decide who can enter the elevator – and who absolutely mustn’t leave.

In Security 51, players work the checkpoint of an underground bunker where the elevator descends miles below the surface into unknown levels filled with laboratories, anomalies, inhumane experiments, and things better left unnamed. Everyone who passes through carries documents, passes, or verbal orders, but even perfect paperwork can hide something deeply wrong.

As each shift unfolds, players must check names, positions, clearance levels, times, and personnel counts while watching for suspicious behavior, incorrect answers, slurred speech, or documents that seem a little too perfect. Over time, new verification methods such as fingerprint checks and blood tests become available, raising the stakes with every decision. Was that employee careless, compromised, or no longer human? If you’re unsure, quarantine may be the safest option – though mistakes can have consequences that only reveal themselves shifts later.

Features:

  • Secure, Contain, Protect – Verify documents, names, positions, clearance levels, schedules, and suspicious inconsistencies.
  • Trust the Protocols – Use fingerprints, blood tests, quarantine procedures, and your own judgment to decide who gets through.
  • Face Bureaucratic Horror – Experience a tense blend of paperwork, paranoia, aliens, anomalies, and escalating uncertainty.
  • Live With the Consequences – Some mistakes are obvious immediately. Others may only become clear after several shifts.

Chop Chop Inc. Carves Brand New Steam Demo

As demand for stylish furniture rises, Chop Chop Inc. is ready to shine. This charming first-person simulation, created by former Endzone developers, invites players to fulfill their dream of building their own furnishing empire. After the title reached 30,000 wishlists on Steam in just two weeks, a brand-new demo of Chop Chop Inc. is now available there.

In Chop Chop Inc., players find themselves forced to make a fresh start after a surprise layoff at Furnox Corp. Armed with nothing but an axe, a few trees, and a thirst for revenge, they have to build a thriving furniture empire from a small workshop. A process that requires plenty of entrepreneurship. Felled trees are processed into planks and furniture pieces that can be sold and further developed. With new tools, machines, and automated production lines, efficiency steadily increases, transforming simple, crude furniture into luxurious interior sets and genuine designer pieces.

This is Chop Chop Inc.:

  • Extensive value chain – From log to plank, from plank to furniture, and from furniture to profit: this is the cycle players build in Chop Chop Inc.
  • New Regions and Biodiversity – New regions bring different tree species and character improvements, such as strength or stamina upgrades, while the empire’s unstoppable expansion opens up new, previously unimagined possibilities.
  • Every Piece of Wood Is Lumber – Whether it’s a sapling or an ancient tree: If it’s made of wood, it can be felled and, of course, processed!
  • Impressive designs – In Chop Chop Inc., the practicality of a piece of furniture isn’t necessarily questioned, which is why, among other things, there’s a heat-conducting wooden PC (the thermal properties of wood are, after all, unrivalled) and a wooden weight bench that not only builds muscle but also toughens players against splinters.

Chop Chop Inc. is set to release on Steam for PC in 2026.
