San Diego, Calif.—July 17, 2017—Amidst the sweltering San Diego heat, mortals and the undead alike scream . . . for free ice cream. Blizzard Entertainment today announced the grand opening of Ice Cream Citadel, a pop-up ice cream shop that celebrates Knights of the Frozen Throne™, the upcoming expansion to Hearthstone®, Blizzard’s smash-hit digital card game. No San Diego Comic-Con® badge is required, so all are invited to stop by for a free Frozen Cone as well as a photo op with the Lich King, Lord of the Scourge and ultimate purveyor of death and icy treats.
Located in the PetCo parking lot just a short walk from the San Diego Convention Center, Ice Cream Citadel will provide visitors with free ice cream in two flavors: “Villain-illa” and “Scourgeberry Sorbet.” In partnership with Yelp, Blizzard has also created a Yelp business page for the pop-up, titled “The Lich King’s Ice Cream Citadel,” where users can rate, review, and post photos of their experience. Starting July 18th, those brave enough to call the business (1-855-LCH-KING) will be greeted by the Lich King’s chilling voice.
Get a taste of what’s in store at the Ice Cream Citadel by watching the Lich King’s teaser trailer.
Hearthstone is a free-to-play digital card game featuring quick and lively duels that evoke the spirit of a friendly match played beside a crackling tavern fire. Launching in August, the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion will take players to the frozen lands of Northrend, where they’ll raid Icecrown Citadel, the Lich King’s frozen fortress, and challenge the Lord of the Scourge for his seat on the Frozen Throne.
July 16, 2017 – Star Wars Battlefront II is bringing an all new hero into the fold with the introduction of Iden Versio, the Commander of the Imperial special forces team known as the Inferno Squad. Along with a new hero, the story will also bring fans to new locations like Iden’s home planet of Vardos and other new elements authentic to the larger Star Wars universe, as a result of the close collaboration with Motive and Lucasfilm Story group who worked hand in hand through every step of the process.

July 15, 2017 – Here’s a new behind-the-scenes look at STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI just debuted at D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif. Director Rian Johnson surprised fans with on-stage appearances by cast members Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro.
July 13, 2017 – With Game of Thrones Season 7 launching this Sunday, it is time to focus on the bloody battle to win the Iron Throne in a way that only the people at Nerdist can – thru a one-of-a-kind GOT mashup entitled “It’s my Throne.” The creators of Belle & Boujee and That Spidey Life have outdone themselves this time as they utilize the smash song of summer, DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One,” along with lots of cameos to get fans psyched for this epic confrontation they will witness in the upcoming season.
“It’s My Throne” recreates the lavish music video with characters from the show. While “I’m The One” uses it’s large number of verses to feature Khaled’s all-star lineup, “It’s My Throne” features its own all-stars including Riff Raff as Jon Snow, Andy Milonakis as Varys and Simon Rex as Littlefinger.
July 13, 2017 – Even the noblest warrior casts a dark shadow, and so it is with the race of Elves. The High Elves may be paragons of virtue, but their closest kin represent all that is foul and depraved in the Elven soul.
Led from the obsidian wastes of Naggaroth by the Witch King Malekith and his sadistic mother Morathi, the Dark Elves are hell-bent on the humiliation and destruction of their orderly brothers, and ultimate control of the Great Vortex in Ulthuan.
The third of Total War: WARHAMMER II’s four playable races to be revealed so far, the Dark Elves offer a ferocious new gameplay style. Swift to strike – and brutal to a fault – they’re capable of tearing down an enemy’s defences in a trice, provided they sustain their Murderous Prowess. However, a Dark Elf leader must preserve his alpha status in the eyes of his lesser generals and keep an iron grip on their loyalty, lest their self-serving, glory-seeking nature leads to treachery!
Total War: WARHAMMER II launches on September 28th 2017 and is available for preorder now.

July 6, 2017 – Leaping from the pages of the Arabian Nights, adventure awaits in the accursed City of Brass – a place of legend beneath the sand, filled with danger and reward. Infested with mischievous spirits and deadly traps, its shifting streets are brimming with the wealth of a nation. Players assume the role of a cunning thief, battling to reach a fabled treasure at the city’s heart, wielding a blade and whip that can be used to disarm, trip or stun enemies, to swing to safety, grab inaccessible objects or even break through flimsy barricades.
But the city itself also has teeth. Players have to leap across pits, slide under blades, dodge spears or arrows, evade or employ sprung paving slabs, and sidestep poison gas traps – all the while manipulating these hazards to their advantage against diverse supernatural foes.
EnemiesCity of Brass has eternal replayability, designed to encourage combinative gameplay within an ever-changing, carefully optimized cityscape. Gamers must learn to manipulate every system if they are to survive, moving swiftly and deftly through each level, balancing the need for loot with the absolute requirement to escape within the time limit.
“Developing a game with multiple, interacting systems that players can freely combine feels like a return to our roots, drawing on our experiences working on BioShock and many of our other favorites,” explained Ed Orman, Lead Designer. “Players must learn how to use the traps to kill their foes, and even turn enemies against each another. You’ll perish in the City of Brass – often, and quite horribly – but as your skills improve and you discover new ways to cheat death, you’ll return to fight another day.”
Game features include:
Loot! Collect treasure to increase your score, plunder chests for weapon and armor upgrades or powerful relics – but make it to the exit in time or face death by dervish…
Genies! Incarcerated within the city, and most are friendly… Some will barter gear, upgrades, secrets, unlocks or protections in return for loot. Use one of three wishes to unlock a powerful benefit, or for a king’s ransom, buy a genie’s freedom in return for help in the final battle.
Improv! When your sword just isn’t enough, get creative: smash your enemies with explosive vases, blind them with a brick to the face, or force them into traps.
Ghouls! The city is filled with wretched spirits of all flavors, all with unique behaviors, all with the singular character defect that they want to kill you.
Smarts! The algorithms that create each level are tweaked to generate a logically laid out cityscape of interconnected chambers, courtyards and corridors.
Agility! The rhythmic interplay of blade and lash has been carefully tuned along with sprinting, crouching, sliding, leaping and vaulting to give a fluid, balanced and natural feel to the movement and melee.
Challenges! For the ultimate test, experienced players can encumber themselves with Divine Burdens, global modifiers that change enemy abilities, spawn behaviors or multiply environmental hazards.
Permadeath! No two playthroughs are ever the same: play, die, and play again, each time using what you’ve learned to get further. Are you tenacious enough to reach the heart of the City of Brass?
City of Brass will be released for Windows PC on Steam in fall 2017, with versions for PlayStation® 4 systems and Xbox One following in 2018.
