The Evil Within 2 The Twisted and Deadly Photographer Trailer

August 16, 2017 – We’ve just released a new trailer for The Evil Within 2. Not only will Sebastian have to contend with the myriad horrific creatures waiting for him in The Evil Within 2, he’ll also have to deal with the human “monsters” who have made their way into the new STEM world. Wretched creatures like Stefano Valentini, an artist with dark proclivities and unbounded imagination. You’ll see examples of his work scattered throughout Union – from grisly photographs of his victims, to the “moment of death” tableaus he creates, capturing the last seconds of a person’s life in a tangible, looping scene. Learn more about the man behind the art in the latest trailer for The Evil Within 2.

After losing his eye in an explosion during his time as a war photographer, Stefano rapidly descended into madness. His newfound “vision” drove him to become fascinated by the precise instant when death takes a person – that split second in time when people are, in his opinion, at their most open and most beautiful. Stefano returned home from the war with a newfound purpose. But he wouldn’t wait for these perfect moments to arise on their own. Why should he, when he could orchestrate those final breaths? One victim became two, and soon enough he had become a serial killer, photographing each of his victims’ faces at the exact moment of their demise.

But the real world could never appreciate his talents. Stefano was hunted, until he found himself in this STEM world – a world of “pure creation.” A world he could shape to suit his own desires. And Lily is the key to unlocking the potential of this world.

And he’s not alone in his endeavors. Born from an untethered and immoral imagination and sculpted from blood and bone and flesh, Obscura is one of Stefano’s greatest masterpieces. Somewhere inside of Obscura is a story from another life, long before Stefano ever even learned of the existence of STEM – a story you’ll have to uncover for yourself as you explore Union and discover more about the twisted artist behind some of the horrors hunting you. Check out Bethesda.net for even more details.

The Evil Within 2 will launch worldwide Friday the 13th, October 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Evil Within 2 has not yet been rated by the ESRB. For more information about the game, visit www.TheEvilWithin.com

Just Survive Gets Huge New Update and Trailer

SAN DIEGO – Aug. 15, 2017 – Daybreak Games has released its largest update to date for the open world zombie survival game Just Survive. Alongside new content, which includes a brand-new map and new Stronghold system, a new narrative has been established, separating Just Survive from the H1Z1® universe. Just Survive’s rebranding and content update represents the development team’s evolved vision for the game and lays the foundation for future updates in the months to come.

“Our new logo and key art highlight all the aspects of the game that players know and love—from base building and defending, to looting and exploring, and also reflects how Just Survive is developing into a more mature and polished game,” said Ben Jones, Just Survive Creative Director. “Just Survive is about more than just killing zombies, it’s about the player’s survival journey. Re-establishing society isn’t an easy task, and this update introduces a variety of features, like Strongholds, that encourage players to band together through the dangers and tension of post-apocalyptic life while striving to reclaim their world from the zombie hordes.”

As the most comprehensive update in the game’s history, the development team has made changes to many aspects of the game, introducing a new map, adding the Stronghold base-building system, weapon revamp, and in-game curency system:

  • Badwater Canyon: A completely new world map designed with multiple styles of gameplay in mind and featuring targeted loot distribution, strategic verticality, exploration opportunities, and hundreds of easily identifiable base pads for Stronghold construction. Badwater Canyon will be rolled out steadily over time, region by region, as it is created in order to give appropriate focus to each aspect of its overall design. It has replaced the game’s original map.
  • Stronghold: A new system where players can build robust structures and fortify them with an array of defenses and traps to fend off coordinated attacks. Challenging players with opportunities to attack and defend, Strongholds encourage creative problem solving. In addition, these bases can be customized by players to make their in-game homes unique.
  • Weapon Revamp: All weapons have been rebuilt from scratch, introducing tiers to each weapon type while fine-tuning them to look and feel unique. In addition, we’ve improved melee combat with a new hit registration system and attack animation overhaul.
  • Golden Eagle Coins: Items found in the world can be exchanged for a new in-game currency tied to individual characters. These aim to create true value for each item in the world, tackling the problem of item hoarding. Golden Eagle Coins are required to purchase new Stronghold locations, and this currency’s usage will continue to be expanded in the future.

Other changes in this update include refined harvesting mechanics, a rebalancing of systems, itemization overhaul, and modification to spawning and death. A complete list of changes and fixes in today’s update is available at: http://www.justsurvive.com/news/game-update-patch-notes-8-15

Just Survive is currently available in Steam Early Access for Windows PC. For more information, visit www.justsurvive.com, and follow the game on Facebook, Twitter and Twitch.

CCP Games Announces VR Optional EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone

15 August 2017 – London, UK – Today, CCP Games announced that on September 26, 2017, the fan-favorite virtual reality game, EVE: Valkyrie, will become EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone , representing a major expansion for the renowned multiplayer first-person spaceship shooter. Bursting out of VR and onto TVs and monitors, EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone enables PC and PlayStation®4 gamers to fly and fight alongside each other, both in and out of VR, in fully balanced online space combat.

Since its debut on Oculus Rift in March 2016, EVE: Valkyrie launched on PlayStation®VR and HTC Vive®, introduced cross-platform play, and received five extensive game updates packed with new maps, modes, enhancements, and improvements. Now, the Warzone expansion will dramatically upgrade the EVE: Valkyrie experience for both new and current players, introducing a huge range of exciting new features and gameplay systems.

At launch, incoming players can purchase EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone for $29.99, while all current EVE: Valkyrie owners will receive the expansion as a free download, replacing the base game. CCP has released a new trailer to announce EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone here

“If you can play first-person shooters, you can pilot one of EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone’s amazing ships,” said Andrew Willans, Lead Game Designer at CCP’s Newcastle Studio. “Not having access to VR hardware will no longer hold gamers back from diving weapons-first into intense and highly competitive space combat with friends. We look forward to seeing the already intense competition between Valkyrie pilots going up a notch, as more players from around the world can join existing pilots for space-dogfighting battles.”

“Releasing EVE: Valkyrie for high-end VR headsets embodied the culmination of a decades-long dream for CCP,” said Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO of CCP Games. “We’ve had great success in establishing the title as one of the most popular multiplayer games in virtual reality and grown it over the last two years with genre-leading post-launch support, which has resulted in a thriving community. Now we’re starting the next step in EVE: Valkyrie’s journey by bringing this great game to an even wider audience – those who haven’t made the leap into VR yet – all while we continue to experiment with additional unannounced VR projects in development.”

EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone introduces a next-generation fleet of iconic ships – including the new Covert class ship, “Shadow” – each one with their own distinctive role to play in battle. With new weapons – including powerful Ultra abilities – and a fully redesigned progression system for each ship, players will have more control over how they evolve their arsenal to suit their playstyle.

New to EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone will be the ‘Extraction’ game mode that puts capture-the-flag in outer space for an exhilarating gameplay experience. The Warzone expansion also features two new maps, “Fleet” and “Outpost,” as well as new Wormholes that introduce a fresh challenge each week. Players will also be able to fight for Spoils of War to earn Loot Capsules, enabling them to unlock a hangar-full of personalization options for their ships and pilot.

League of War: VR Arena Announced

August 15, 2017 – MunkyFun, a San Francisco-based independent game developer, today revealed it is bringing its highly successful League of War strategy game franchise to PlayStation®VR exclusively with the new arena-based arcade war game, League of War: VR Arena. In the action-oriented strategy game built from the ground up to create a powerful VR experience, players will fight short, intense battles against human or AI opponents, vying to lead their side to victory by physically placing and aiming units on the arena battlefield to destroy the opposing army’s towers and base.

In League of War: VR Arena, each army has 12 units including tanks, flamethrowers, helicopters and commanders, of which four are randomly available at any one time. Each unit requires energy to deploy, with more powerful units requiring more energy and taking longer to charge up. Using Move controllers, players will directly place and aim their units at the opponent—with the opponent doing the same in real time—as if they were a giant-sized general overseeing a virtual battlefield. The winner is the first player to destroy the opposing base to claim victory.

“League of War: VR Arena is designed to be a powerful experience that puts players in charge of a high tech, aggressive army on a living, tabletop-style battlefield,” said Nick Pavis, CEO and Co-Founder of MunkyFun, Inc.

“As you throw your units into battle, strategically choosing between quick strikes and slower but more powerful units, your opponent does the same, creating a pulse-pounding mix of strategy and action that is highly engaging on PlayStation VR.”

The game features both a single player Campaign mode and an Arcade mode where players face off head-to-head via the game’s Social Screen interface and build their own custom armies. Controls are highly intuitive and direct with the PS VR hardware—grab a unit and throw it on the battlefield! The pace is quick, and action is intense and the fun only stops to give you a chance to catch your breath before the next battle. Regardless of whether the opponent is human or silicon-based, the game thrives on a simple to play, difficult to master mantra. Should you wait for a powerful tank to charge, or immediately attack with an inexpensive recon unit that can distract the enemy while you prepare your big move? Should you deploy a helicopter to attack infantry, or wait to pair it with artillery for a more effective combo attack? These are the choices desktop generals will make in League of War: VR Arena!

Developed and published by MunkyFun, League of War: VR Arena will be exclusively released for PlayStation®VR early this fall, with more details revealed in the near future. This game has been rated “T for Teen” by the ESRB.

Hangry Bunnies From Mars Release Date

LOS ANGELES (August 14, 2017) — Studio229 has announced its first VR game titled Hangry Bunnies From Mars for the HTC Vive, available August 23 on Steam.

Watch the announcement trailer:

Who loves being eaten to death by bunnies? (No one.) Especially not hundreds of them. Which is why the not-so-subtly-named extermination company Critter Death Squad is using you as its latest Exterminator to single-handedly hold off this hangry horde. Never mind the fact that you’re an extremely expendable clone (and they’ll just grow a new one if you die), because what really matters is the fact that you’re equipped with some seriously awesome transforming weapons that excel at unleashing critter death.

In Hangry Bunnies From Mars, you’ll take on hundreds of fluffy-wuffy bunnies at once in this replayable arcade adventure. You’ll suit up using some ridiculous weapons to take on these voracious varmints, all the while enjoying hilarious running commentary from Colin the British engineer and Vlad the Russian tactician. Featuring a script written by a Hollywood team–including Jeremy Adams, writer and producer for Lego, DC Comics, Monsuno and more. Hangry Bunnies features a dynamic difficulty adjuster that keeps gameplay consistent regardless of VR expertise, making it a great experience for beginners and skilled shooters alike. You’ll literally have a blast defending the great city of New Los Angeles, all rendered with a vibrant art style in roomscale VR!

The game launches on August 23 for the HTC Vive with Oculus Touch support releasing shortly afterwards. Check out the website for more info (and the epic trailer!) at www.hangrybunnies.com.
