Diversion3 Entertainment, LLC announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to produce a free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android based on the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai. The officially licensed game, entitled Cobra Kai: Card Fighter, is developed by mobile game developer Gamaga and will be available for pre-registration beginning today, in advance of its worldwide release on March 19, 2021.
Pick your path between Miyagi-Do Karate and Cobra Kai in story mode and PvP multiplayer tournament mode. In Cobra Kai: Card Fighter players are tasked to build their respective dojo, recruit familiar faces from the series, and train them to become All Valley Champions. Using cards based on a variety of karate punches, kicks, and throws, along with special attacks and combos for each fighter, Cobra Kai: Card Fighter offers a unique combination of fighting action and strategy.
“We’re thrilled to see Cobra Kai come to life in a whole new way,” said Showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg. “It’s going to be so much fun for fans to fight as their favorite characters. We can’t wait to play too!”
Story Mode in Cobra Kai: Card Fighter takes players through the Cobra Kai narrative and showcases scenes from the series as you follow the direction of your sensei. Tournament Mode, meanwhile, lets players hop online to challenge friends to PvP multiplayer fights using any of the unlocked characters. Between bouts, players can head back to the dojo to train, build decks, level up belt ranking, and customize characters and cards to show off how far their fighters have come.
“Working on a franchise like Cobra Kai is a dream come true for us,” explained Gamaga producer Macarena Francia. “We think fans of the series will be overjoyed once they see how we’ve captured the spirit of Cobra Kai in this game.”

Owlcat Games has announced that the first beta for its classic isometric CRPG, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, is now available to backers who contributed to the title’s Kickstarter or Slacker Backer campaigns in the relevant tiers. Fans are able to play the first four chapters of the game – over 50 hours of beta quality content – and broadcast their experiences on Twitch and YouTube.
In celebration of the beta’s launch, the studio has unveiled details on an interactive “Choose Your Own Story” Community Quest and released the opening animated video. The quest events are to be determined entirely by the community and set to begin on Twitch this Friday, February 5, at 2 PM CET / 5 AM PST.
Owlcat also revealed a trailer showcasing the title’s relentless combat and shared that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous may now be added to one’s wishlist on Steam.

Today’s beta allows fans to play through the game’s prologue and first three chapters with all quests, all companion storylines, and some romantic options available. At this time, the fourth chapter is incomplete as side quests are missing and some draft assets are still in place. The beta includes two combat modes to try: real-time with pause and turn-based (as it is in Pathfinder: Kingmaker Definitive Edition).
The first three chapters may be streamed on Twitch and YouTube. Fans may play through chapter 4, but will be prompted with a message alerting them not to stream before their experience begins.
Players can also play through the Mythic progression system and choose one of six Mythic Paths (nine will be featured in the final game): Angel, Azata, Lich, Demon, Aeon, and Trickster. Each path impacts the title’s main narrative in a unique way, though major developments will occur in later chapters. Mythic abilities like devastating spells and powerful buffs may be experimented with however fans wish. Players will be able to navigate through all the content with an up-to-date, redesigned UI.
Notable Kickstarter stretch goal features available in this beta include a new “thiefling” companion named Woljif Jefto, a new progression system for player’s pets, three new classes (Warpriest, Hunter, and Skald), a new race (the Oreads), one of two additional romance interests (Camelia), and a social goal granting new backgrounds for player characters based on Pathfinder Second Edition.
Wrath of the Righteous’ second beta – set to arrive this spring – will comprise more content, including features promised to Kickstarter backers. Keep an eye on the title’s official website and Kickstarter page for updates.
Owlcat Games’ community-driven “Choose Your Own Story” Quest, launching on Twitch this Friday, February 5, at 2 PM CET / 5 AM PST, will task fans with collectively making decisions during five critical events. Set during the Crusade, players will have to come together and choose between two options to determine the protagonist’s moral alignment and the story’s cinematic conclusion.
Stream viewers may vote by clicking buttons on screen (via Twitch Extension) and moving their virtual Paladin and Lich avatars, which represent the inner demons residing within the heart of the protagonist. Will the story’s hero break the staff of the Necromant or use it to fulfill their selfish desires? The ultimate decision depends on which avatar crosses the finish line first. The first update to World of Warships: Legends in 2021 brings many exciting additions, most notably the first appearance of a new ship type—Aircraft Carriers! Besides that, there’s a new campaign for a German battlecruiser, British heavy cruisers, and a pair of special events for a new game mode and the Lunar New Year!
Aircraft Carriers are here at last. For the first two weeks of the update, players can battle with and against the early carriers Langley, Ranger, Hōshō, and Ryūjō in a separate Air Strike gamemode. To start playing in the new class, players will have to play a few battles of the Air Strike game mode first. Being a fundamentally different type of warship, aircraft carriers are defined by avoiding direct combat and using their aircraft to sink their enemies. These early carriers were experimental in many ways and their first arrival is also, as we will be gathering feedback from this event for future carrier releases! It’s an exciting addition to World of Warships: Legends, be sure to hop into a few Air Strike battles and try out the new ship type.
The new Dragonslayer campaign features the German battlecruiser Siegfried, a battle-hardened cruiser built with six powerful 15-inch guns and a set of torpedo launchers on each side. Designed as a heavy surface raider for the German navy, Siegfried is well protected too. Like the legendary hero she is named for, this ship is a mighty opponent on the field of battle. As the final reward of the campaign, players will need to pass through a hundred milestones over the next five weeks, completing a set of missions each week in order to command this “Dragonslayer” of yore. After completing the campaign, players can also continue completing missions to earn Steel.
There are some newcomers to the British tech tree in this update as well, a series of heavy cruisers. Starting at Tier IV, these ships carry powerful, low-velocity guns and are relatively well protected. Plus, they are well equipped with torpedoes, Sonar, and a Repair consumable. It’ll take clever positioning to get the most from these ships, but they are sure to shake things up! Players can take command of these ships in early access by opening British Cruiser Containers, plus get the new Union Jack camouflage for their ships.
A new Arena game mode is here as well, pitting players against each other in four teams of three ships. Starting after the Air Strike event on February 15th, players can prove their skills in this mode by climbing up a community-wide ladder during this seasonal event. The ultimate prize of the Arena mode is a stockpile of steel, a new resource to use to get equipment and unique vessels. Arena mode is a good way for the best players to get a boost towards unlocking the new steel-exclusive Tier VII premium battleship Missouri.
Of course, it would be remiss to forget Lunar New Year! Starting February 12th, there are a pair of collectable premium cruisers available, special event containers, unique camouflages. Plus, there’s a new port for the event throughout the update!
