Maximum Games Unveils EXTINCTION

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.  (June 1, 2017) — Legend calls them the Ravenii, encroaching armies of bloodthirsty monsters that once threatened to destroy humankind. Now, the threat has returned. Iron Galaxy and Maximum Games are proud to announce their thrilling, fast-paced action game – Extinction.

As far back as anyone can remember, humanity has been at war with itself. For generations, kingdoms have fought amongst themselves while the real threat loomed in the distance. Only those trained in the ways of the ancient order stand a chance at defeating the 150-foot-tall ogres and the armies that trail in their wake. You are one of the world’s last Sentinels, a soldier named Avil, equipped with the skills to battle the endless waves of Ravenii.

In Extinction, you’ll fight massive ogres and their minions across a sprawling countryside, defending cities and rescuing native villagers torn from their homes. Swiftly define your strategy as hordes attack from the ground and air. Use the dynamic skill-based combat system to tactically disarm and dismember enemies before going in for the kill.

“Extinction is absolutely relentless,” said Kraig Kujawa, Game Director at Iron Galaxy. “We’re really happy with the fast, fluid feel of the game and we’re looking forward to showing it behind closed doors at E3.”

“As the protagonist tasked with a huge undertaking – both in fighting enormous ogres and saving humans from disaster – each player’s experience will be varied, as the landscapes and battle situations are never identical,” said Derek Neal, Executive Producer at Maximum Games.

Features include:

  • Deep Story Campaign. Protect the human population across an abundant story campaign, rescuing as many civilians as possible and taking down brutal opponents.
  • Dynamic Side Missions. Complete numerous side missions with various objectives, earning upgrades to aid you in your campaign.
  • Skill-Based Combat. Travel horizontally and vertically, perform wall runs, and use your whip as a vault to perform devastating air assaults. Master dynamic combat maneuvers to effectively traverse the giant beasts and expose their weak points, progressing along different skill trees to develop a path best suited to your playstyle.
  • Interactive Environment. Move freely around a fully destructible environment, and use objects throughout the world to your strategic advantage.
  • Innumerable Battle Scenarios. Every battlefield is different from the last, ensuring a unique combat situation each time you play.
  • Custom Battles. Create custom battlegrounds with varied objectives, and challenge players online to compete for the top score.
  • Extinction Mode. Fight off a continuous horde of assailants as wave after wave of ogres and their minions attack without relent.

This is no longer a war. It’s an annihilation. And you are all that stands between humanity … and extinction.

Extinction will be available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC in Q1 2018.

Agents of Mayhem – Ride for Mayhem Trailer

May 30, 2017 – Seoul is a big place.  When the Agents aren’t using their teleportation abilities, or climbing up the side of the massive buildings, or using the many construction sites that are repairing the damage done on Devil’s Night to get around the city, the best way to maneuver the streets is by taking one of their fleet of luxury vehicles created by the automotive genius of the ARK, Quartermile.

Quartermile takes his love of luxury cars seriously and treats them with the love and respect they deserve.  Like a kid in a candy store in the MAYHEM Motor Pool; Quartermile gives gleeful demonstrations of his high security, combat ready vehicles followed by a written test before they any Agents are issued with one.  He takes it as an insult if Agents are careless with his creations, which they usually are.  Just for fun, each car has an AI for Agents to chat with as they drive. Afterall, who doesn’t love a talking car?

Agents of Mayhem is a single-player, open-world, third-person action comedy for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC gaming systems releasing on August 15th. Ghost Recon Wildlands: Fallen Ghosts DLC – Launch Trailer

May 30, 2017 – Today, Ubisoft announced that Fallen Ghosts, the second expansion for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, is now available for season pass owners across all platforms. Season pass owners will have access to Fallen Ghosts one week before it releases for individual purchase on June 6 on consoles and PC for the suggested retail price of $14.99.

Fallen Ghosts takes place after the fall of the Santa Blanca Cartel. With Unidad’s military force unable to maintain control over Bolivia, the country is in a state of civil war. To help restore order, the Unidad enlists cartel members, veterans, mercenaries and criminals from various nearby countries as volunteers. Together, they form a new brutal special unit: Los Extranjeros, which is ordered to track and eliminate all American agents.

The Fallen Ghosts campaign will feature 15 new missions in which players will have to take down four new bosses located in three different regions. In the expansion, players will start with a new character at level 30 and equipped with all of the main game skills. The level cap will increase from 30 to 35, and players will be able to unlock nine new skills including physical, weapon and drones skills.

In Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, players discover a fictionalized future Bolivia, a few years from now, in which players must take down the Santa Blanca drug cartel by any means necessary. Behind enemy lines, they hunt down targets and discover intel, using any of the more than 60 vehicles available, including cars, motorcycles and even helicopters that they can commandeer. To topple the cartel, players have to fight their way to El Sueño, Santa Blanca’s ruthless leader, by breaking down the Santa Blanca drug cartel’s operation piece by piece as they sever alliances between the drug lords and the corrupted government. A second expansion for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Fallen Ghosts, will be available soon, as well as an all-new PvP mode in the coming months.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew Available Now

SAN FRANCISCO — May 30, 2017 — Today, Ubisoft® announced that Star Trek™: Bridge Crew, the virtual reality game where players explore space as a member of Starfleet, is now available for Oculus Rift, PlayStation®VR and HTC Vive. Developed by Red Storm Entertainment, a Ubisoft studio, under license by CBS Consumer Products, Star Trek: Bridge Crew is playable cross-platform.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew immerses fans into the Star Trek universe as they assume the role of a Starfleet officer and complete missions that will determine the fate of their ship and crew. Playable cooperatively online with a crew, or solo as Captain, Star Trek: Bridge Crew puts players and their friends directly onto the bridge of a new starship, the U.S.S. Aegis, as they are dispatched to explore an uncharted sector of space.

In addition to an engaging story campaign, Star Trek: Bridge Crew features an Ongoing Voyages mode featuring randomized missions for countless hours of solo and co-op adventures on board the U.S.S. Aegis or the legendary U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, authentically recreated from Star Trek: The Original Series.

Created exclusively for VR, Star Trek: Bridge Crew utilizes the powerful sense of social presence possible through virtual reality. Through hand tracking and full-body avatars, including real-time lip-sync, players can live out their Star Trek fantasies as they operate the Starfleet ship as Captain, Engineer, Helm or Tactical. Each role is crucial to the success of the varied missions players face, and only by working together can the crew complete their objectives.

Additionally, Star Trek: Bridge Crew will include IBM Watson interactive speech and cognitive capabilities during an experimental beta period this summer. With IBM Watson, players will be able to use their voice and natural-language commands to interact with their virtual Starfleet crew members.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew marks the most recent project in virtual reality for Ubisoft, which believes in the strong potential of VR to redefine social gaming with a unique sense of reality. Ubisoft recently released Werewolves Within™ and Eagle Flight®, and announced a VR partnership with the film company SpectreVision.

Crossout Launch Trailer

May 30th, 2017 Targem Games and Gaijin Entertainment announce the launch of the post-apocalyptic Action MMOG Crossout, available beginning today as a free download on Windows PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.

Craft your own vehicle

Crossout allows players to craft never seen vehicles using anything Earth’s vast post-apocalyptic wastelands offer. There are a countless number of parts available for vehicle customization, from trusty objects of the past, like rusty doors, chainsaws, and cabins from old cars, to the ingenious inventions of a new generation of engineers that grew up in the post-apocalyptic world, such as combat drones, stealth generators, automatic cannons, and much more. Complete creative freedom without class restriction allows for the creation of vehicles that are as individual as their creators, perfectly suited to their preferred style of play.

Join a faction that fits your style

The world of Crossout is home to distinct factions players can join, each with a different way of life and combat style. Examples are the raging ‘Lunatics’, a loose group of individuals that prefer fast cars and close-quarters combat, or the ‘Nomads’, enigmatic characters that wander the wastes in the search of new technology. Today’s launch marks the release of a fifth faction, the ‘Steppenwolves’ – former military armed with a tactical approach, well-armored vehicles, and long-range cannons. They add even more parts to the game, including mechanical legs that allow the creation of massive artillery platforms. In the future, fans can look forward to the release of addition factions with unique mechanics, armaments, and items.

Experience different game modes and maps

The battles in Crossout will take players to many different corners of the wastelands, starting from abandoned factories to dried-up riverbeds and destroyed cities. For launch, fans can enjoy new environments such as desert landscapes, deep canyons, and fortified settlements, where players will face exciting PvP action and PvE missions. In their quest for resources and dominance, players will attack settlements, defend merchant convoys from raiders, destroy oil rigs or try to defeat Leviathans, gigantic monsters of steel created by other players. In between battles, players can take a break in the new ‘Race’ mode. It is a downhill race for first place without the use of weapons.

Take part in a player controlled economy

There are several ways to earn the parts you need to create your perfect vehicle in Crossout. Earn loot in PvP battles or PvE missions, craft new equipment with the help of your faction, or purchase the desired weapons and car parts on the open in-game market, where the players entirely control supply and demand themselves. Earn coins to use in the market by selling surplus loot and resources, or restock your balance through the game’s store. Every player will be able to craft the perfect armored vehicle as there are no items exclusively available for real money that influence a player’s performance in game.

Join the never-ending battle today, and fight for your famed spot in the post-apocalyptic world of Crossout. Learn more about the game on the official website at http://crossout.net/

Last Day of June Announced with Trailer

CALABASAS, Calif. – May 30, 2017 Visionary Italian independent studio Ovosonico and indie publisher 505 Games today announced their first project together, Last Day of June, a profound interactive adventure. From an all-star collaboration of creators including critically acclaimed director Massimo Guarini (Murasaki Baby, Shadow of the Damned, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja), award-winning musician and record producer Steven Wilson, and Jess Cope (animator on Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie” and director for Metallica’s “Here Comes Revenge” music video), Last Day of June aims to be a true artistic innovation. Visualizing a bittersweet story told through a welcoming, painterly world, the role-playing exploration game showcases the beauty of life and love, but also the contradictions of loss, as seen in the first teaser trailer:

“With Last Day of June, my vision is to create a riveting emotional experience that connects with the broader audience of human beings,” said Massimo Guarini, founder and CEO, Ovosonico. “People feel comfortable broadly saying they don’t like videogames without ever really trying them, but never say that about movies or music or art – there’s always something they can identify with. I believe games can be just as universal and relatable, and that’s what we’re attempting to show with this project.”

Last Day of June is a poignant single-player journey that progresses participants from a viewer joining Carl and June on what begins as a magical outing to their favorite spot, to a character deeply intertwined in the narrative, as they try to unlock the sequence of events that could save the day – and June’s life. In this cinematic experience, players will solve emotionally challenging puzzles in an attempt to turn back time, compelling them to ask themselves “What would you do to save the one you love?”

Last Day of June is being developed for PlayStation 4 and PC and will release later in 2017.

Tiny Trax Announced for PlayStation VR

May 30, 2017 – Award-winning Brighton-based studio FuturLab has announced Tiny Trax, a stunning new slot racing game for PlayStation VR. Set for release this summer, Tiny Trax sees childhood imaginations come to life as tiny cars boost around your body, jump overhead and drift around bends on a virtual slot racing track just inches from your face.

Importantly, a player’s viewpoint of the game mimics that of a child surrounded by a giant toy racing track inside each virtual world, which creates an extremely comfortable and satisfying experience.

Boasting online multiplayer functionality for up to four players, Tiny Trax features 12 tracks across three environments – Tropical, Fire & Ice and Outer Space – with six vehicles to choose from.

The music has been composed by leading video game composer Joris de Man, whose previous work includes Horizon: Zero Dawn, Killzone and FuturLabs’ own Velocity 2X.

Tiny Trax will be available for hands-on demo at Sony’s pre-E3 press event next month (Monday June 12th), on the show floor during E3 and with a roll-out in Europe and North America expected this summer.

The game is the brainchild of game designer Dave Gabriel, who came up with the concept when he was a game tester at FuturLab. Backed by FuturLab’s management team, Gabriel took on the challenge of designing Tiny Trax from the ground up – covering everything from the controls, to the levels, to deciding trophies. He has since been promoted to game designer.

“We’re delighted to announce Tiny Trax – it’s a game that will appeal to players of all ages, allowing them to dive straight in and recreate the thrill of slot racing in immersive virtual environments,” said FuturLab MD James Marsden. “In addition, it’s a great testament to the team here at FuturLab – particularly Dave Gabriel – that Tiny Trax will be demonstrated alongside titles from industry heavyweights at Sony’s E3 booth.”
