September 18, 2017 – Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today launched a NEW “Campaign That Never Forgets: Friend or Foe” bringing to life the videogame that never forgets, Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Beginning with an interactive live-action film directed by Neil Huxley (Avatar, Watchmen) and shot by Director of Photography, Fabian Wagner (Game of Thrones), the “Campaign That Never Forgets” faithfully recreates the award-winning Nemesis System, driving viewers to make key story decisions during the siege of a fortress in Mordor.
Those decisions then result in a personal relationship with a specific Orc as a loyal ally or vengeful enemy, which will extend beyond the interactive trailer and follow viewers across the internet, emulating the gameplay experience created by the Nemesis System. In Middle-earth: Shadow of War, players now have entirely new ways to journey through the dynamic world, with more choices and opportunities than ever before due to addition of Orc Followers. Whether spared, scarred, recruited or marked, every encounter will be remembered and help fuel the dynamics of society and conflict within Mordor, all brought to life through the expanded Nemesis System.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today released gameplay featuring the next character that will be available for download in the critically acclaimed Injustice 2: Raiden from the world renown Mortal Kombat franchise. In addition to showcasing the eternal God of Thunder and protector of Earthrealm, the video showcases Black Lighting, a brand new Premiere Skin that accompanies the Raiden DLC. Black Lightning has been added to the Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Pack.
Developed by the award-winning NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 features a massive roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. The game is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Red Hood and Sub-Zero available now.
Canberra, 18th Sep 2017: Uppercut Games today announced that City of Brass for Windows is available now on Steam at an introductory price of 19.99 USD for the first week, after which it will revert to 24.99 USD.
Armed with a blade and a whip that can grab, trip, disarm, stun or shatter as well as swing, from today players can lash and slash, trick and trap their way through an opulent procedurally-generated city, making it to each trap-infested level’s exit before the sands of time run out – participating in Daily Challenges and testing their mettle against other players on the Steam Leaderboard.
“The initial Early Access version already has a core experience in place: players can dive into a 12 level campaign with hours of replayability, revealing new enemies in each level, discovering gear and relics, encountering fresh traps and evolving their tactics,” explained Lead Designer Ed Orman. “We’re in Early Access to help us balance and tune the gameplay systems, and we will steadily add more content as we approach Final Release.”
Content and features already planned for the game will take 4-6 months to add in, but given new ideas will be introduced as the game evolves, the overall period in Early Access is expected to be around 6-12 months. More enemy types, bosses, districts, secret areas, gear, relics, genies and traps will be added to the Final Release, and the play overall will be more tuned thanks to the period in Early Access. The final battle (which will be different based on decisions players make as they progress and the strategies they employ) and the mysterious prize at the center of the city, will be held back until the Final Release.
Here’s our walk through video from the new SAW maze at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights. This haunted house had some really interesting situations and traps to put its victim characters in, but the throughput of the experience was not good enough to accommodate the crowds. This shows in the video as we get held up inside the maze several times by traffic jams.
We take a walk through The Shining while at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights. This maze had some great moments, save for the projection areas which fell flat for me.
Here’s our maze walkthough video of American Horror Story Roanoke from Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights event yesterday. The maze was a lot of fun with some great representations of scenes from the television show.

September 14, 2017 – WOOP WOOP… Jam City, via its game studio TinyCo, FoxNext Games, and Matt Groening released a FUTURAMA double-length podcast episode today, created by Matt Groening, David X. Cohen, and the FUTURAMA writers. The new episode, which features the original cast and clocks in at a whopping 42-minutes in length, is now live at Nerdist.com, soundcloud.com, and Spotify, where it can be downloaded and listened to for free. Existing Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow players have already been enjoying original content from the podcast, and new players can join the fun with exclusive episode content in-game, including a space mission to Junkleon 7, the deleted file planet.
The new FUTURAMA podcast episode brings a long-awaited reunion of the Planet Express crew, including Fry, Bender, Leela, Professor Farnsworth, Zoidberg, Amy, and Hermes—plus Borax Kid, Calculon, and the return of the popular robot soap opera, “All My Circuits”. While on a routine mission to Junkleon 7, the crew encounters Klaxxon, a nefarious life form composed entirely of soundwaves from 21st-century podcasts. Can the crew save Earth from Klaxxon’s harmful soundwaves? To find out more, download the podcast and discover for yourself!
“Last year I cornered two fine gentlemen–Matt Groening & David X. Cohen–and pitched the idea of doing a new FUTURAMA episode as a podcast/radio play because it’s one of my favorite things AND I NEED MORE OF IT,” said Chris Hardwick. “Today I am drooling with unfiltered joy to say that a) it’s actually happening, b) I got to voice the villain (Klaxxon), and c) I’m a freaking head in a jar in Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow, a game I’ve been feverishly playing since it came out. Galaxies of thanks to Matt, David and TinyCo for acquiescing to the maniacal ravings of a well-meaning fanboy.”
The episode came to life after the FUTURAMA team was reunited to create original content for Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow. The experience was so positive and fan interest so strong that Jam City and TinyCo collaborated with Matt Groening, writers from the show, and the cast to bring fans a brand-new FUTURAMA podcast episode that was integrated with the game for an extended digital experience.
“FUTURAMA has set off a strangely sci-fi-ish paradox where the episodes inspired the Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow game, and now the game is inspiring new episodes,” said David X. Cohen. “Hooray for infinite loops!”
Created in partnership with FUTURAMA creator and Executive Producer Matt Groening and his Curiosity Company, along with Executive Producer David X. Cohen, original FUTURAMA writers, and Rough Draft Studios, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow blends together simulation, combat, galactic exploration, and choose-your-own-adventure gameplay to bring the escapades of the Planet Express crew to life. Players will experience new stories from the writers of FUTURAMA that are filled to the brim with the wit, charm, and sci-fi hijinks that fans have come to know and love.
“It’s a new step for entertainment when a mobile game format can inspire original narrative content at this level,” said Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and CEO of Jam City. “Partnering with Matt Groening and his Curiosity Company to launch the mobile game, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow, and to be a part of the resulting double episode Podcast of original FUTURAMA content from Matt, David X. Cohen, Chris Hardwick, the show writers, and cast has been a great experience. The Jam City team has had a blast inspiring this new chapter in the FUTURAMA multiverse.”
