OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead Maya Character Trailer

April 11 2018 – Starbreeze, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games have released the next cinematic character trailer for OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead, from developer OVERKILL – A Starbreeze Studio. This new video reveals Maya, the second of the game’s four playable heroes. Like Aidan, the first character announced last December, Maya has been changed by the end of the world, where only those willing to fight by any means necessary have a hope to survive against the constant threat of the living and the dead.

Set in a post-apocalyptic Washington, D.C., OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a mission-based, four-player co-op multiplayer FPS inspired by the danger, action and terror of Robert Kirkman’s original graphic novels. Players must band together using a combination of stealth tactics and brute force on a variety of raids and missions, securing supplies and survivors to defend their home and stay alive. Each playable character has their own special abilities, skill trees, squad roles, play styles and background stories – smash through hordes of walkers with the heavy-hitting Aidan, or keep your friends alive with Maya, a former surgeon.

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is expected to launch this fall on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One and Windows PC. For more on the game, visit https://www.overkillsthewalkingdead.com.

BATTLETECH Story Trailer

STOCKHOLM – April 11, 2018 – Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes today released the final installment in their BATTLETECH Basics video series, exploring the games story of noble politics and betrayal among the stars. The first turn-based tactical ‘Mech PC game in over 20 years, BATTLETECH will be available on April 24, 2018.

“BATTLETECH is Game of Thrones meets Pacific Rim in space,” said Mitch Gitelman, studio manager at Harebrained Schemes. “[Kamea] hires you to do the types of jobs that her standing army can’t do.”

“That is within the context of your larger campaign, of reputation building and working for all the different houses… It’s a wonderful way to get a true, classic BATTLETECH story,” said Jordan Weisman, CEO of Harebrained Schemes and creator the MechWarrior and BATTLETECH universe. “This really opens it up for the player to extend their own story of their mercenary unit, in whichever direction they want to go.”

Developed by Harebrained Schemes, the studio responsible for the critically acclaimed Shadowrun Returns series, BATTLETECH is the next generation of turn-based tactical ‘Mech combat. In BATTLETECH, you play as the commander of a mercenary company on the edges of civilized space, negotiating and executing a variety of combat contracts while attempting to keep your ‘Mechwarriors happy and your operations prosperous. The game’s story features the player falling in with the deposed ruler of a noble house and, fighting for either coin or cause, becoming a player in her bid to retake her throne. BATTLETECH will be available for PC and Mac, at a suggested retail price of $39.99. Linux will be added post-launch.

“It’s knights and nobility, except instead of knights, it’s giant war machines,” said Mike McCain, game director of BATTLETECH.

Pre-orders are available now at digital retailers. To get more info, please visit: https://www.paradoxplaza.com/battletech

Dual Universe Community Made Outposts Trailer

PARIS, FRANCE – April 11, 2018 – Following hot on the heels of the recent launch of Supporter Packs, Novaquark is excited to share its latest trailer for Dual Universe, showcasing the incredible freedom and depth of creation available to its community. By using the game’s editable voxel tools, the resulting structures built by the players during the ongoing pre-alpha represent an early look at what new players can expect to encounter as they dive into this ambitious, large-scale sci-fi sandbox for the first time.

While the term “voxel” tends to evoke images of cube-shaped building blocks, Dual Universedelivers a proprietary voxel engine that affords players much more control in manipulating the world – and universe – around them. At a simple level, players can place and manipulate fully editable blocks that come in all shapes and sizes as they build canyon-filling cities or spaceship fleets. For players who want to get a little more granular, this voxel engine allows them to terraform at will, carving away at a planet’s surface, and digging complex cave systems that could one day house an organization’s base of operations.

Whether they’re building a single structure on a small scale or working together to forge an entirely new civilization on a massive scale, Dual Universe’s tools empower players to build however they want. Novaquark simply sets the rules and establishes the universe, but everything that grows, falls, is rebuilt, and shared within this universe is and will always be a community-constructed endeavor.

This power to create is only heightened when combined with Novaquark’s innovative CSSC technology (continuous single-shard cluster), which allows the game’s entire player base to exist in one single persistent universe, seamlessly weaved together with no loading screens to create an ever-evolving sci-fi metaverse. Developed alongside the vision of Novaquark founder, scientist, and Artificial Intelligence expert Jean-Christophe Baillie, Dual Universe is an ambitious civilization-building MMO that seeks to push the boundaries of community involvement, allowing its players to quite literally shape the universe others will join from the ground up, all thanks to the power of voxels and human creativity.

Dual Universe is available now in Pre-Alpha. In addition to being the 3rd biggest worldwide Kickstarter of 2016 for a video game, it earned over one million dollars in funding on both Kickstarter and its official website, and boasts a vibrant community of over 10,000 backers and almost 1,900 in-game organization communities. For the latest updates visit the official website, and you can also follow the game on TwitterFacebookCommunity DiscordReddit, and YouTube.

Battle Fleet: Ground Assault Announced

Vancouver, April 10, 2018 – Mythical City Games announces today that the sequel of the popular turn-based military strategy game “Battle Fleet 2” will be released on Steam May 1st. Battle Fleet: Ground Assault is a new and unique turn-based strategy war game, designed for cunning tank based military maneuvers and challenging new battles, that brings a whole new tactical strategy experience to the genre.

Battle Fleet: Ground Assault takes some of the most exciting tank theaters of war from WWII and puts them on your desktop in this action packed turn-based strategy game. Battle Fleet: Ground Assault boasts a wide array of historically accurate WWII vehicles and tanks as well as different play environments that provide topographical challenges during combat.

In the teaser trailer you can see squads of tanks locked and loaded as they take to the front lines of the fight. The gameplay captures the excitement and power of these lethal war machines. The video shows off the wide range of rural and urban fighting environments as well as showcasing the fully destructible environment and buildings. With 20 historically accurate tanks to choose from, the sky is the limit as you mobilize your forces to the enemy frontlines.

With the return of single player battles, a robust campaign and intense multiplayer mode, Battle Fleet: Ground assault continues the strategy and unique “Worms” / “Scorched Earth” style angle+power mechanic of Battle Fleet 2, adding destructible environments, armor, shell types and all new tactics. Hit the engines and cripple the enemy’s maneuverability, or aim for the crew compartment and disable the tank for an entire turn. With a full-featured campaign and a variety of single play scenarios, Battle Fleet: Ground Assault will make you feel like Patton charging through the German lines.

Battle Fleet: Ground Assault will also have full VR support (coming later in 2018) allowing you to play the entire game in VR and even battle against friends who are playing on desktop.

“After the success of our last two Battle Fleet titles, we noticed that players were massively demanding the addition of tanks to their vehicles armada. Not only did we listen to them, but we decided to take it to another level and developed an entire new game solely focusing on tactical tank battles. We can’t wait for the community’s feedback when the game comes out on May 1st and also feel very excited about the upcoming VR support”, says Mythical City Games CEO, Jedrzej Jonasz

Battle Fleet: Ground Assault is scheduled to release on steam May 1st 2018.
