MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries Gets A New Gameplay Trailer

VANCOUVER (Nov. 21, 2019) – Developer Piranha Games today released new, never-before-seen gameplay in a crash course guided walkthrough for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, the first mainline MechWarrior game in nearly two decades, ahead of its launch for PC on Dec. 10 via the Epic Games Store.

The battles on display showcase MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries’ expansively destructible environments, designed so that Mechs can tear through structures while swatting helicopters out of the sky and reducing rival pilots’ rides to scrap. Briefs on the moments between battles make it clear that with mission recovery, pre-deployment loadouts, and the severity of danger faced all in the hands of players to navigate, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries’ campaign is all about risk, reward, and consequence.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries marks the return of the series’ mission-focused campaign structure, allowing pilots to call the shots while leading either AI-controlled allies or up to three friends through optional co-op into dangerous contracts. Unit leaders will decide which risky missions to accept, where their priorities lie across the Inner Sphere’s volatile conflict zones, as well as how to best utilize the resources earned from their dances with death.

Narcos: Rise of the Cartels Launch Trailer

LONDON, England, November 19, 2019 – Curve Digital and Kuju are proud to announce that Narcos: Rise of the Cartels, a brutal tactical turn-based game based on Narcos, the multi-award-winning Netflix series from Gaumont, is available now for PC and PlayStation 4. Nintendo Switch owners will have the opportunity to choose their side on November 21st, with Xbox One entering the war on November 22nd.

Combining turn-based tactical strategy with brutal real-time combat, Narcos: Rise of the Cartels follows the first season of the award-winning TV series through two distinct campaigns that offer vastly different perspectives on the infamous 80s drug war. Should you help build the Medellin Cartel’s rapidly expanding narcotics empire under the watchful gaze of El Patrón, or fight against them tooth and nail alongside Agent Murphy as the DEA?

Each campaign has its own iconic locations taken directly from the show, from Colombia’s impenetrable sun-drenched jungles to the damp streets of Medellin itself. Recognizable characters from the series are ready and waiting to back you up – and each have their own unique perks to help turn the tide in battle.

Turn-based gameplay is fast, brutal, and satisfying, but just like the show itself, actions in Narcos: Rise of the Cartels have lasting consequences. If you lose a member of your team during battle, they’ll be gone for good. Moving one unit per turn, players will need to act quickly and change their tactics on the fly to stay in control of the battlefield.

In Narcos: Rise of the Cartels, there are no right choices. Join the Cartel and see your empire expand or fight with the DEA and stop the spread of terror – either way, there’ll be tough choices along the way.

“Narcos is one of the biggest hits on Netflix and is a personal favorite of mine. This game will appeal to gamers as well as fans of the show as it mixes the authentic feel of the series with an interactive experience to make you feel you’re right in the action. The characters, the storyline and the history of the cartels are all there – you just have to decide whose side you’re on!”, Dominic Wheatley, Chief Executive Officer at Curve Digital.

The team at Compulsion has been continually listening to player feedback and has taken the game to new heights throughout its development,” Matt Charles, Head of Production, at Gearbox Publishing said. “We All Fall Down applies that feedback with a focus on deep storytelling and engaging gameplay. While this is the end of the story for Wellington Wells, we’re very proud to have helped bring We Happy Few to more fans around the world.”

Golem Available Now

LONDON – Nov. 15, 2019 The long-awaited action adventure game Golem makes its digital debut today, exclusively for PlayStation®VR, and is coming physically to North America on Friday, Nov. 22. From the development team of Halo and Destiny industry veterans at Highwire Games and from publisher Perp GamesGolem takes players through a unique open world experience filled with intrigue, challenging combat and exploration.

Though bedridden after a serious accident, protagonist Twine comes into possession of a Dream Stone which allows them to control massive stone golems – and much smaller friends –to discover the secrets of a labyrinthian and dangerous city, abandoned and closed off from the world by a magical barrier. The city holds treasure, artifacts and foes, as well as a deeper mystery connecting it to Twine’s family. Earnest exploration is balanced with fast-paced and punishing combat, facing ancient enemies that require a mastery of blocking, parrying and counterattacking to defeat.

Golem’s haunting soundtrack “Echoes of the First Dreamer” was crafted by award-winning composer Marty O’Donnell, creator of the Halo and Destiny soundtracks, and is included as a downloadable exclusive with the physical edition of the game.

Golem features:

·        Multiple Control Options – Players can use PlayStation®Move Controllers for a unique movement system, physically leaning forward to walk and wielding weapons with the dominant hand. A joint DualShock®Controller and PlayStation Move setup offers an alternative approach, moving with the DualShock left analogue stick and controlling weapons with the PlayStation Move Controller.

·        Sprawling Open World in VR – Golem offers extensive exploration through an ancient city, which players can traverse from corner to corner, uninterrupted. Almost labyrinthian in scope and layout, the city has a wealth of routes, shortcuts, nooks and crannies. Some lead to loot and enemies, while others to crystal collectibles that shed more light on the history of this magically sealed place and its stone behemoths.

·        Challenging Melee Combat – As Twine, players command golems to face enemies in a fast-paced and punishing one-to-one melee combat where mastering the art of blocking, parrying and counterattacking is crucial. Enemy golems have their own unique attack patterns, weapons and movements that require quick responses.

·        Specialized Weapons and Artifacts – Twine can make use of a variety of primary and special purpose weapons, gems and masks to upgrade their golem’s capabilities and access to different parts of the ruined city. The threats trapped within the city are forces to be reckoned with, though; if Twine’s golem dies, it is returned to the main city gates and all these key resources – and foes – are reset.

·        New Perspectives for Puzzle Solving – In addition to the massive golems, Twine needs to control small dolls to navigate areas that require a new perspective. Danger comes in all shapes and sizes, though, as the doll will encounter insects at eye-level while exploring tunnels, armed only with a crystal light to fend off the swarm.

Golem is available now digitally and coming to major North American retailers including GameStop, Amazon, Best Buy and Target for $39.99 on Friday, Nov. 22. Golem is rated T for Teen by the ESRB for Violence. PlayStation®Camera and one to two PS®Move controllers are required.
