Comanche Now in Early Access

Hannover, Germany / Vienna, Austria, March 12th, 2020 – Engines: ready! Weapons: ready! Companion Drone: ready! Pilots: are you ready? Comanche lifts-off today for a routine Early Access Launch on Steam. Mission goals are: generate fun among players. Gather feedback. Return to base and update strategy according to the feedback & upgrade the game regularly.

Comanche is now available on Steam for € 19.99 / $ 19.99 / £ 17.99 / 999.00 Rub. Head over to the Steam-Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/879000/Comanche/

What’s in the Early Access Version now?
At the start of the Early Access Phase Comanche will offer 3 different game modes:

Singleplayer
As requested by the community, Comanche will get a singleplayer campaign. Starting with one mission available from March 12th on, developer Nukklear will add new missions on a regular basis.

Multiplayer
The 4vs4 team-based multiplayer will start with two modes, one called Black Box, the other Infiltration. In Black Box, the goal is to collect more black boxes from destroyed Comanches with your drone. You can collect both enemy and friendly black boxes using the drone, so this mode guarantees intense team fights at close range. Infiltration again combines helicopter combat and drone piloting: your objective is to either defend or infiltrate a base. Attackers must place an EMP, defenders must disarm it.

Flight & Combat Training
In a variety of different missions, you can learn how to fly your Comanche and its drone to familiarise yourself with the flight controls and how to maneuver in combat. As Comanche requires some practice before you become a good pilot, we highly recommend players check out the training missions.

Available Helicopters & Drones
Five Comanches and four drones will be available at the Early Access launch, all coming with specific weapons, abilities and strengths and weaknesses. Each type of Comanche has a certain role to fulfill in the team-based combat and is suitable for a special type of player, so choose your favorite.

What to expect in the next months?
The developer has defined a roadmap for the next months of Early Access but we really want to emphasize, that the community will have a voice in the development process. Here is the roadmap:

Fantasy General II – Onslaught Out Now

March 12, 2020 – Did you think Fantasy General II was over? You couldn’t be more wrong. Today, British videogame publisher Slitherine and developer Owned By Gravity bring you Onslaught, the first DLC for Fantasy General II. This totally new campaign challenges the player to hunt for the Book of Krell and face The Unspeakable, a breed of horrid undead with many limbs and spiked tentacles.

Never the same battle twice. Built on 30 procedurally generated maps, the new Onslaught campaign branches out with new units and enemies with unmatched replayability: every time you start a new campaign, you’ll be fighting on a brand new map and facing totally different situations.

But keep your eyes up; the skies will be shadowed by new aerial units. Thirteen, to be exact, expanding the original Fantasy General II roster and allowing new tactics with units like the Eagle bombers, Pegasus Flamers, Monster Hunters and Firebirds.

What is Fantasy General II

New to Fantasy General II? Originally published in 1996, Fantasy General is considered one of the fathers of the turn-based strategy genre. In 2019, Slitherine, GOG.com and German developer Owned By Gravity teamed up to publish a new chapter of this classic game – new graphics, new campaigns, new heroes – but keeping the same feeling and full respect for the masterpiece of the 90ies.

Fantasy General II – Invasion was published last September and received praise and good reviews from both the media and players: on its Steam Page, the game has a “Very Positive” user rating, and on Metacritic, Fantasy General II has a Metascore of 80%. To celebrate the launch of Onslaught DLC, Fantasy General II will have a 20% discount for one week on the General Edition (including bonuses and the first two DLCSs, Onslaught being the first) and 35% on the base game and the Hero Edition.

Command & Conquer Remastered Collection Reveal Trailer

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Welcome back Commanders! In celebration of the Command & Conquer™ 25th anniversary, Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:EA) today announced the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection, a compilation of the iconic real-time strategy (RTS) games that defined a generation will be available June 5 worldwide on PC via Origin™ and Steam, and as part of an Origin Access Premier subscription. Comprised of Command & Conquer: Tiberian DawnCommand & Conquer: Red Alert and their three expansion packs – Covert OpsCounterstrike and The Aftermath – the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is a passion project between EA and some of the original Westwood Studios team members at Petroglyph.

Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is being created alongside the C&C community, where the project was publicly revealed in October 2018 to gather community insight before development began. An active Community Council has been involved since early pre-production with 24/7 access to the development team. The title features rebuilt graphics and textures with support up to 4K resolution, along with an over seven-hour soundtrack remastered by the renowned original composer Frank Klepacki. The community has helped shape the enhancements of the game through highly requested features like revamped UI, updated controls and a Map Editor for fans to showcase their creations. Multiplayer has been rebuilt from the ground up to support a modern online experience with custom games, 1v1 quick match, Elo-based matchmaking, leaderboards, replays and much more.

“Our team has been working hand-in-hand with the C&C community since day one and we hope this transparent dialogue will result in the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection being a love letter to our fans,” said Jim Vessella, Lead Producer at EA. “We’re taking the classic gameplay that ushered in a new era of the RTS genre and adding the most fan requested features like Skirmish mode for Tiberian Dawn, quality of life control improvements, and full Steam integration with UGC support. For me personally, having been a C&C fan since I was 12 years old in 1995, working with the original Westwood Studios team members at Petroglyph has been a dream come true.”

Pre-orders for the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection digital edition and physical Collector’s Editions are available now, please visit the Command and Conquer website. The pre-orders include:

  • Command & Conquer Remastered Collection (Digital) – $19.99 USD – Only available on Origin and Steam and includes the remastered versions of Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert, plus all three expansion packs (Covert OperationsCounterstrike, and The Aftermath), and tons of bonus features and improvements.

The Command & Conquer series helped cement the foundation of the RTS genre’s core gameplay when Command & Conquer: Tiberium Dawn was released in 1995, introducing innovative faction mechanics with asymmetric unit creation and technology trees for a highly strategic experience. In addition to gameplay, the series pushed the boundaries for storytelling with its unique and lighthearted full-motion video (FMV) cutscenes, ultimately creating one of the most recognized villains in games with Kane, the megalomaniac leader of The Brotherhood of Nod. In Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, Earth has been overrun by Tiberium and while GDI (Global Defense Initiative) aims to contain the material, The Brotherhood of Nod looks to harness its power, leading to all-out war between the factions. Command & Conquer: Red Alert is set in an alternate universe where the Soviet Union wages war on the Allies in a fun, action-packed, tactical RTS game.

Command & Conquer Remastered Collection is being developed by Petroglyph, Lemon Sky Studios, and EA, including some of the original Westwood Studios team members at Petroglyph, and will be available on PC via Origin and Steam on June 5. Origin Access Premier subscribers will also get full access to the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection on PC on June 5 for as long as they are subscribed.
