Dead by Daylight – Silent Hill Out Now

Montréal, Canada –  June 16, 2020  –  Behaviour Interactive and Konami Digital Entertainment are proud to announce that Silent Hill, the most recent chapter of the iconic asymmetrical 4v1 game Dead by Daylight, is now available on Steam, Windows Store, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Revealed during  the Dead by Daylight fourth anniversary broadcast on May 26th, the Silent Hill chapter features a new map, Survivor and Killer. Players can look forward to exploring the new map:  Midwich Elementary School  –  a scene of unspeakable horrors.  The Silent Hill chapter also features a new  Survivor: Cheryl Mason, previously known as Heather, who, having freed herself from the religious cult  that had pursued her since birth, now must fight an eternal battle in the Entity’s realm.  Finally,  this chapter features a new Killer: the mythical Pyramid Head, known here as The Executioner, a sadistic and merciless killer fixated on dispensing punishment through pain. Never without his hulking blade in tow, Pyramid Head has stepped into the fog to fulfill his nefarious duty.

Silent Hill was first released in 1999 by Konami,  one of  Japan’s leading video game developers. The original horror story tells the tale of the doomed town of Silent Hill, trapped in the throes  of cult-induced supernatural forces.

“For our 4th anniversary, we are partnering with Konami to bring Silent Hill into Dead by Daylight”, notes Mathieu Côté, Game Director on Dead by Daylight and Product Evangelist for Behaviour Interactive. “This is an intensely emotional moment for us, we are both incredibly humbled and filled with pride. Silent Hill is a cultural reference, a significant part of video games history and now it’s part of our game. You can see that love for the license in so many details of this chapter.”

“Silent Hill is such an iconic horror video game franchise and to have it be a part of Dead by Daylight is such a milestone for us”, mentions Dave Richard, Creative Director. “It was our greatest joy and challenge to do the Silent Hill universe justice. I am incredibly proud of the work we have done,  and the players’ responses have been beyond our expectations. Silent Hill broke records as our most played Chapter in the Public Test  Build! I can’t wait to see what our community at large will think of this Chapter – and I’ll be playing along with them!”

To celebrate the release of the new chapter, a limited offer, the Silent Hill Edition, will be available in digital stores. It will include the game, the Silent Hill chapter and a set of very rare outfits for Pyramid Head and Cheryl Mason.

For the first time, players will also have the opportunity to customize their character with a dedicated collection of outfits available in the in-game store, inspired by some of the most iconic characters from the Silent Hill series, such as Alessa Gillespie, Lisa Garland or Robbie the Rabbit.

Dead by Daylight boasts more than 23 million players globally across all platforms. On any given day, one million players step into the fog, whether on PC, console, or mobile. Since its release in 2016, the multiplayer game has become a place where cult classic horror survives and thrives, having welcomed legends from TV, movies and video games. The team regularly releases new content in the form of chapters, Archives tomes and frequent quality of life updates.

World of Tanks Will Introduce Crouching Strumtiger Limited Time Game Mode

June 15, 2020 — The anniversary activities continue to ramp up as World of Tanks’ 10th birthday nears in August. The newly launched Act III will introduce a fun limited-time game mode, “Crouching Strumtiger”, focused on the widely fiercely requested Sturmpanzer VI Sturmtiger. Players can also take on a new set of anniversary missions, which will reward them with the third act’s unique 3D style.

As late as 2015, developers were considering adding the Sturmtiger to the game, but due to its unique characteristics and features, there was not a natural fit for it in the tech tree. Players continued to request it, but it was never added into the game. Now, several years later, there still might not be a place for this German SPG in the formal tech tree, but that doesn’t mean it can’t make its way into World of Tanks in a unique and fun way.

For the first time ever, players will be able to get their hands on this legendary war machine, and the Sturmpanzer VI Sturmtiger is unlike anything tankers have ever seen before. This Tier X German artillery goes against the grain of the abilities its real-life counterpart is known for: an incredible agility will leave tankers stunned. Fear not the Sturmtiger retains the devastating firepower that’s typical for top-tier vehicles and amplifies it to a new level of damage and mayhem.

“The Sturmtiger is a wonderful piece of military vehicle history, but the real-life vehicle itself is rather unbalanced, which made it very hard to naturally fit in our game all those years ago,” states Dmitriy Trofimov, Game Designer for World of Tanks. “It’s armor would be comparable to Tier VII or VIII, but its gun caliber… well, it’s something special. At 38cm, it’s 14cm more than anything else in our game.”

These colossal beasts will battle it out in teams of 10 on 5 different maps: Ensk, Widepark, Tundra, Mines and Airfield. The Crouching Sturmtiger game mode will be available for one week only, running from 17th June through June 24th.

“The Four Relics of Rivellon” is the fifth free DLC drop to be added to all versions of Divinity: Original Sin 2 across PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. It is the largest Gift Bag for the game so far, adding brand-new quest lines, stories and enemies. It has been developed in collaboration with Anshar Studios and Fool’s Theory.

Players can set out on a new adventure, featuring new voice recording and narration, as well as dastardly new fights and the Undead Dragon boss. Players will be rewarded for completing these new quests with four armor sets scattered all over Rivellon and imbued with magical properties.

The four sets of armor include:

  • Captain Armor: A set of armor that can dominate the minds of those around it. Each piece also boosts Lucky Charm, Persuasion and Bartering.
  • Vulture Armor: A light set of armor that, when complete, gives the wearer permanent vulture-like wings. Full set enhances range and damage dealt from higher ground.
  • Contamination Armor: An ancient set of armor created from magic thought lost long ago. Each piece offers resistance to poison, and the entire set grants immunity to poison along with a special ability to spawn exploding spores that will damage enemies in combat.
  • Devourer Armor: Said to make its wearer almost invincible. In combat, the armor will mark a certain target in range. Any attacks on this target cannot miss and will deal extra damage.

As ever, the contents of each Gift Bag are accessible via the in-game menu, where players can independently enable or disable each individual feature. These are compatible with all prior Gift Bags (“Beauty Salon” and “Song Of Nature”), and players are free to enable as many or as few as they’d like. Please note that once enabled, these features will roll over to your saves on PC, or vice versa on Switch if you have cloud save transfers enabled. These new features come free and are automatically downloaded to the game.
