Hogwarts Legacy Official Reveal Trailer

Warner Bros. Games today announced Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world, single-player, action role-playing videogame (RPG) set in the 1800s wizarding world. Players will experience life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before, as they live the unwritten and embark on a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world. Developed by Avalanche and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label, Hogwarts Legacy will release in 2021 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®4 Pro, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and PC.

Hogwarts Legacy is filled with immersive magic, putting players at the center of their adventure to become the witch or wizard they choose to be. They will grow their character’s abilities as they master powerful spells, hone combat skills and select companions to help them face off against deadly enemies. Players will also encounter missions and scenarios that will pose difficult choices and determine what they stand for.

“Hogwarts Legacy gives players control over their own experience with RPG gameplay unlike anything else in the Wizarding World, which will continue to build fan appeal in the Portkey Games label,” said David Haddad, President, Warner Bros. Games. “Avalanche has brought to life this rich and deep world, full of action-packed magic, as well as a detailed, mysterious story to engage fans and gamers alike.”

“It’s such an honor to work on such an amazing franchise and the team is dedicated to delivering an authentic Wizarding World experience that both Harry Potter and RPG fans will enjoy,” said John Blackburn, Studio General Manager, Avalanche. “Hogwarts Legacy is so special because it allows players to immerse themselves in a new narrative that is filled with complex characters, and, of course, magic.”

As the climactic story begins, players grow their magical abilities by mastering spells, brewing potions and taming fantastic beasts. Along the way, they will uncover an expansive world filled with perilous dangers tied to the wizarding world’s long forgotten past and an unusual ability that only they possess. The open-world journey takes players beyond Hogwarts to new and familiar wizarding world locations including the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade Village.

Pre-orders on Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation Store are now open.

In the new trailer released today, we journey deeper into the twisted story behind Amnesia: Rebirth. The protagonist, Tasi Trianon, finds herself in the desolate landscape of the Algerian desert, battling against her fears and pain as she seeks out answers. She must do everything and anything to survive. She is Tasi.

Amnesia: Rebirth will take players through a wide variety of uncanny environments, from scorched deserts and dark caves to forgotten ruins and alien landscapes. They must learn how to carefully explore the surroundings to find the clues they need while managing essential resources to keep Tasi alive and dig up the truth.

“Amnesia is not just another haunted house spook-fest, but an emotionally harrowing journey”, explains Thomas Grip, creative director at Frictional Games. “We aim to go beyond simple jump-scares and to affect players on a deeper level. While Rebirth will contain the terrifying encounters and sights you expect from an Amnesia game, it has a lot more focus on narrative than previous entries in the series. We want the player to form a strong bond with Tasi and intimately share her tribulations. This will not be your run-of-the-mill horror experience.”

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 Teaser Released

CI Games shared an in-engine teaser for Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, setting the stage for one of the most important gameplay changes coming in the upcoming sequel: Extreme long-range sniping. Long-range shooting is something the Sniper Ghost Warrior community has asked for and the new video teases a shot taken 1,506 meters away. Contracts 2’s long-range shooting will be supported by more accurate weapons, heightened realism, and enhanced visuals when it launches this winter.

“The Sniper community really enjoyed the changes we made with Contracts and the sniper’s paradise sandboxes but, based on their feedback, we designed the latest game with very long-range shots in mind,” said CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski. “We hope to continue building on the best sniping gameplay around and make significant steps forward in bringing modern, realistic sniping experience to consoles and PC. Our team is really excited to introduce the extreme range campaign in Contracts 2.”

The first Contracts was well-received and re-established the Sniper Ghost Warrior formula with the best-in-class shooting set within open-world sandboxes. Contracts 2 takes these sniper’s paradises to the next level with challenging long-range maps set in the game’s new modern setting. In addition to the core contracts, these campaigns are hand-crafted to provide engaging and robust gameplay over extreme distances. These maps will challenge even the most skilled snipers as players complete complex challenges undetected from over a kilometer away.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 features a more grounded and relevant experience set in modern day 2021 Middle East. As Reaper, a sniper on a mission, players can take advantage of new weapons and gear to take down more intelligent enemies across new, expansive maps.

Add Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 to your wishlist and stay tuned for more game details that will be revealed in the coming months.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister Early Access Trailer

French developer Tactical Adventures announced today its upcoming Tactical RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister will be available on Steam Early Access October 20. The launch date was announced in an exclusive gameplay trailer that shows the games unique features, including light, verticality, and distinguished tabletop gameplay elements as a party of four heroes ventures into the darkness on a brand new adventure through the world of Solasta.

Tactical Adventures is attending PAX Online, September 12-20, attendees are invited to stop by the Tactical Adventures booth to learn more about the upcoming RPG, join the game conversation and chat with the devs on Discord and play the free Solasta: Crown of the Magister demo on Steam during PAX Online.

Wizards of the Coast has granted Tactical Adventures a license to use the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 content and rules in Solasta: Crown of the Magister.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is a team-based adventure game where each character plays a critical role in the campaign and can be a hero. The dynamic and mysterious world features elements of verticality, allowing players to use their surroundings as an element of strategy. Players can position ranged characters on high vantage points or send their thief down into shafts and caverns to scope out what lies ahead. In Solasta: Crown of the Magister, light is a tool to explore the depths and hollows of dungeons or can be used as a weapon against the creatures of the dark, but if players aren’t careful, it will give away the party’s position to nasty creatures bent on their demise.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is coming to Steam Early Access on October 20. The game will be available in English, French, German and Simplified Chinese during Early Access – Tactical Adventures is looking to add more languages for the final release.
