Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox One X Console Announced

April 20, 2020 – Created in collaboration between designers from CD PROJEKT RED and Microsoft, the limited-edition, 1TB console encapsulates the urban decay and vibrant tech of Night City. Its design features glow-in-the-dark elements, custom decorative panels, LEDs, color-shift effects, and textures — all evoking numerous facets of Cyberpunk 2077’s dark future setting. The console comes with an Xbox wireless controller uniquely inspired by the character of Johnny Silverhand, featuring a half natural, half cyber-enhancement chrome design. Available as part of the bundle later this year, the controller can also be purchased separately right now at select retailers, including the Microsoft Store.

Bundled alongside the console and controller will be an Xbox One digital download code for Cyberpunk 2077 and other surprises that will be announced soon. Additional details regarding the bundle and controller are available on the dedicated website.

SOEDESCO Pushes Back Physical Game Releases

Rotterdam, The Netherlands – April 20, 2020 – In view of the global developments related to COVID-19, SOEDESCO® is providing an update on the way it’s responding to the outbreak and the related business impact. SOEDESCO is taking all the maximum precautions to ensure the health, safety and well-being of their employees and everyone else involved. This has also led to the decision to postpone some of the physical releases.

Hans van Brakel, Executive Manager at SOEDESCO, said: “Due to recent developments in the market that are beyond our control, we have made the difficult decision to postpone some of the physical releases to a later date. The global crisis has a big impact on logistics, which makes it difficult for us to manufacture, ship and sell physical games right now. However, the digital releases will continue as planned”.

At the moment, these postponed games include the physical versions of Monstrum on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One and Adam’s Venture: Origins on Nintendo Switch. Since the digital versions remain unaffected, SOEDESCO will soon announce the digital release dates of these two games. A new release date for the physical versions has yet to be determined. SOEDESCO hopes it won’t be a long delay and they will update the community as soon as they have new information to share.

HBO Max Commits to Three New Series from Bad Robot

BURBANK, Calif. — April 16, 2020 — HBO Max today announced it has given production commitments for three new high-octane one-hour dramas from J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath’s Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television Group, marking the first new Bad Robot–produced television projects for HBO Max under the exclusive, wide-ranging content collaboration partnership formed by Bad Robot with HBO Max parent company WarnerMedia in fall 2019.

The first series “Duster,” is to be co-written by J.J. Abrams & LaToya Morgan. Set in the 1970’s Southwest, the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate goes from awful to wildly, stupidly, dangerously awful. Morgan is currently a writer on “The Walking Dead”. Previously, she was a co-executive producer and writer of AMC’s “Into the Badlands” and “TURN: Washington’s Spies,” and was a writer for NBC’s “Parenthood” and Showtime’s “Shameless.” Produced by Warner Bros. Television.

The second series, “Overlook,” is a horror-thriller series inspired by and featuring iconic characters from Stephen King’s masterpiece The Shining. “Overlook” explores the untold, terrifying stories of the most famous haunted hotel in American fiction. The project reunites Bad Robot, King and WBTV, who previously collaborated on the acclaimed psychological-horror series “Castle Rock” for Hulu.

The third will be a major series based on DC characters in the “Justice League Dark” Universe, details to be revealed soon.

All of the Bad Robot series for HBO Max will be executive produced by J.J. Abrams and its Head of Television, Ben Stephenson. Rachel Rusch Rich, Bad Robot’s Executive Vice President of Television will serve as a co-executive producer. Warner Bros. International Television Distribution will be the global distributor for the programs.

Current Bad Robot television series produced through Warner Bros. Television include HBO’s “Westworld” and Hulu’s “Castle Rock,” the upcoming “Demimonde” (to be created by Abrams) and “Lovecraft Country” for HBO, as well as “Lisey’s Story,” “Little Voice” and “My Glory Was I Had Such Friends” for Apple TV+.

Baltimore, MD – April 16th, 2020 – Independent developer EVC in partnership with independent games publisher Versus Evil are excited to announce that their debut narrative driven tactics RPG Wintermoor Tactics Club will be launching on PC via Steam on May 5th, with PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions launching later this year.

Wintermoor Tactics Club is a tactics RPG with narrative inspired by visual novels, set in high school during the 1980’s and combines its contemporary setting with tactical fantasy RPG combat.

Players take on the role of Alicia, one of the members of the Wintermoor Academy Tactics Club, where students play the premier tabletop game of the time, Curses & Catacombs. Obsessed with his search for the “Ultimate Club”, Principal Enfield announces a mandatory snowball tournament between the Academy’s clubs. Players will need to use their tactical prowess to defeat opposing clubs in RPG battles. The game’s visual novel approach to its storytelling helps propel the games underlying narrative and themes about inclusion, and the way we often narrowly define ourselves and others based on the groups we belong to.

In their exploration of Wintermoor Academy, players will write tabletop campaigns to help students overcome their personal problems, and discover their fantasy selves as the club grows, all of which is tempered by a cozy, light hearted approach and earnest sense of humour, a core pillar of the game’s tone and presentation.

The story will unravel the sinister truth behind the War of the Clubs as players look to break down the walls of high school cliques, make new friends and unlock their true potential. With dozens of unlockable upgrades and seven playable characters across more than 40 battles, Wintermoor Tactics Club merges a highly visual story with customized tactical combat.

April 16, 2020 – Paradox Interactive and Triumph Studios today announced Invasions, the latest expansion for Age of Wonders: Planetfall that will launch on May 26th for PC, PS4, and XBox One. Invasions adds a load of new features to the game, the most exciting of which is the first all new playable faction introduced into the mix, the Shakarn. FRANKFURT, Germany – April 16, 2020 – Crytek has announced a remaster of the classic first-person shooter Crysis will be available this summer for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation®4, and Nintendo Switch. Co-developed on CRYENGINE with Saber Interactive, Crysis Remastered features the action-packed gameplay, sandbox world and epic battles of the original blockbuster title, with remastered graphics and optimizations for the latest modern hardware.

Moscow – April 16, 2020 | In Population Zero, 470 light-years away from Earth, the player reawakens in a completely unfamiliar frontier, that will either become their new home or a grave. This remote world is as alluring as it is dangerous. Kepler is a vast seamless world with seven distinct Biomes. They boast surreal scenery and incredible wildlife. Every foot and every inch of the planet were meticulously handcrafted to tell a story and ignite the urge to make discoveries.

Players will navigate tall ridges and deep canyons, drylands and roadless jungles, anomalous regions and lava currents. The remains of ancient goliaths, the fragments of colonists’ spaceship and mysterious artifacts hold the planet’s secrets and valuable resources.

The journey across Kepler and the exploration of its regions allow for the obtaining of new technologies, crafting recipes, and knowledge about the world, its denizens, and secrets.

In the Hub, you will meet other survivors. NPCs will ask for help and share their knowledge of Kepler. By completing their requests, players will progress through the storyline towards the 7-day cycle goal, unlock public workbenches, and gain experience points needed to level up the player account.

In a series of firsts for the F1 franchise, F1 2020 offers My Team. This major new game mode allows players to create their F1 team and take their place alongside the established 2020 line-up, with a new driver-manager experience offering a unique insight into the world of F1.
