The Zenith Quadrant begins with a big update to the Abyssal Proving Grounds feature, and the introduction of new Proving Filaments to New Eden. The Proving Filaments, attainable from today, will take pilots from any point in space directly to an Abyssal Proving Ground inside Abyssal Deadspace where they will engage in PvP combat. Different combat formats, specific ship classes, new leaderboards and new Triglavian-themed settings will all ensure an explosive start to this Quadrant.

The 25th Annual QuakeCon will be the very first QuakeCon held remotely, but that won’t stop us from getting together to frag with friends, bond over video games, and raise money to do good in the world … just like always.
This year, due to COVID-19, QuakeCon at Home will be a global, totally online event – kicking off August 7 and ending August 9 – filled with three days of livestreams from around the world, tournaments (of course!), charity fundraising, and more. And the BYOC – the heart of QuakeCon – is going virtual, using Twitch Teams to bring fans together through games in new ways.
Here are a few QuakeCon at Home highlights:
· Global Super Stream – QuakeCon at Home will feature a weekend packed with streamed content from around the globe, kicking off on Friday, August 7 at 11:00am AM CST with Bethesda’s QuakeCon Digital Welcome. The event schedule will feature round-the clock programming with special influencer streams, surprises, and our very own Bethesda Community teams from around the globe – all streaming from home in support of charitable causes. · QuakeCon Twitch Team – Playing and sharing games with friends in the BYOC is the core of QuakeCon, and this year the global QuakeCon community will unite and connect for the first time through the official QuakeCon at Home Twitch Team. · Esports Tournament – It’s not QuakeCon without a tournament full of frags, so that too has gone virtual for 2020. The 2019-2020 Quake Pro League season will conclude at our Quake World Championship, Sunday, August 9 at 4:00pm CST. From the comfort of their own homes, the top 24 players around the globe will compete to win their share of $150,000 Prizing and the title of Season Champion. Quake fans can watch online live via the Global Super Stream – stay tuned for details.
· Charity Initiatives – Raising money for charities has been a key part of QuakeCon for years, and attendees have made a huge impact for local, national and international groups. We are excited to continue this legacy in both a global and local way. Midsummer Scream, the world’s largest Halloween and horror convention, will be hosting a livestream all day Saturday, August 1, featuring previews and updates for Halloween events and attractions, including related performances, talks from leaders in spooky entertainment, as well as eerie surprises!
Midsummer Scream has partnered with TEA@USC, a student organization at the University of Southern California, who will present a series of educational panels and talks with speakers from across the themed entertainment industry. This programming will run simultaneously alongside Midsummer Scream’s livestream, allowing viewers the option to watch one “channel” or the other throughout the day.
Running from 11am to 7pm on Saturday, August 1, the daylong “telethon” will be free to the public and streamed via YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter/Periscope to raise funds for various organizations helping people impacted financially by the pandemic.
“Since 2016, Midsummer Scream has been considered Southern California’s official kickoff of the Halloween season,” says Executive Director David Markland. “While our live event was cancelled due to the pandemic, we still want to usher in the spooky season and continue to be a platform for attractions and leaders of the haunt and Halloween industry to connect with the community. This is our opportunity to all be together ‘‘in spirit’.”

MGM Television invites Vikings fans to a very special panel during San Diego Comic-Con@Home 2020, “Vikings: A Look Back with The Lothbroks.” The series Showrunner, sole Writer and Executive Producer Michael Hirst will join fan favorites Travis Fimmel (Ragnar Lothbrok), Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha), Alex Ludwig (Bjorn Ironside), Clive Standen (Rollo) and Jordan Patrick Smith (Ubbe) to discuss their favorite moments from the past six and a half seasons, favorite fan interactions during Comic-con and what makes Vikings so extraordinary.
Fans will also be treated to an exclusive clip from the second half of the sixth and final season of the series beloved by audiences around the world.

Vikings fans have come to expect epic SDCC experiences from the TV series that chronicled the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) an actual historical figure, and his family as they live among the savage realities of the Viking culture. Fans have witnessed a Vikings Funeral which paraded through the streets of the Gaslamp District and culminated at the Harbor, had the opportunity to train in axe throwing to become a real Vikings warrior, they were able to meet with The Sear to have their fate foretold, and ride a Vikings Longship, among others.
The virtual program for San Diego Comic-Con runs from July 23-26.
The second part of the sixth season of Vikings will be released on HISTORY this fall.
On background, Netflix announced it picked up Vikings: Valhalla, a sequel to the hit series late last year.
