Back to City 20: The Bunker Update Trailer

Untold Games has released today the latest update for their post-apocalyptic city simulator City 20. Introducing underground environments, new navigation tools and key mechanical improvements, the Bunker Update takes players to a whole new level of City 20, both figuratively and literally.

For the first time, players can now venture beneath the streets of City 20 and explore a vast network of bunkers and underground structures. These fully realised environments are filled with hidden lore, rare items and secrets waiting to be discovered. Designed to offer a darker and more atmospheric experience, the underground delivers a new sense of tension and discovery for those willing to brave the depths.

Supporting the expanded exploration introduced in Version 0.9 comes the GPS, a new gadget that provides players with a minimap directly in their HUD, allowing for smoother navigation and a more immersive exploration experience. By repairing GPS Repeaters, players can connect to local networks, enabling NPC tracking within specific zones, making it easier to locate quest givers, traders and other important characters.

Interacting with these characters has never been better with a full redesign of the Dialogue Wheel. With a new interface that focuses on clarity and ease of use, conversations are streamlined, and removing unnecessary layers of menus means players can stay immersed in the story while navigating interactions more naturally.

Loot distribution and enemy behaviour have also been rebalanced to reflect the new gameplay dynamics introduced in Version 0.9. While basic supplies remain on the surface, rare and valuable items will now be found mostly underground, rewarding players who take on greater risks. Those risks are enhanced by an expanded Atker threat, who now have an increased presence in underground areas and around Bunkers. They now actively guard high-tier loot, creating a more intense and claustrophobic atmosphere in the dark underground.

The Bunker Update marks a significant step forward in expanding the depth, immersion and challenge of City 20, and offers players new ways to explore, engage and discover secrets hidden beneath the city.

City 20 is available on PC in Early Access for $19.99. The Bunker Update is available for free to players who own the game on Steam and Epic Game Store starting today.

Koshmar: The Last Reverie Announcement Trailer

Today, the world has awakened to Koshmar: The Last Reverie, an upcoming action-adventure game by Purple Ray Studio, an incredibly talented, up-and-coming Polish studio comprised of veteran developers with credits in both AAA games and critically-acclaimed indie titles. Their second title, Koshmar: The Last Reverie is a fast-paced, third-person single-player action-adventure set in a gothic-inspired realm of dreams and nightmares that features both roguelite mechanics and RPG elements that ask players to wield dueling perceptions to their whim, and bear the consequences.

Through the eyes of the game’s protagonist, Violet, a teenager growing up in a small town, players delve into her subconscious through her unique lucid dreaming ability. When nightmares break through her dreams and her reality, she must venture into the depths of the darkness and risk her sanity to protect those affected by the sleeping sickness. Purple Ray is proud to be developing and publishing Koshmar: The Last Reverie for PC and console. Watch the trailer below for a glimpse into what Purple Ray has dreamed of and what has plagued their nightmares for the past few years of development, and wishlist the game on the official Steam page.

The Duality and Reality of Koshmar: The Last Reverie
Assuming the role of Violet, a teenager in a bleak, colourless world, players explore her unique ability to lucid dream to escape her reality and inhabit other’s nightmares. How the player progresses through Violet’s physical world, exploring new places and meeting new characters, or approaches the nightmarish realms of those affected by the sleeping plague, will have impacts on how she perceives, and is perceived by the world in return. For instance, utilizing Dream or Nightmare weapon styles will unlock resources that amplify dream-like delusions, or invite maddening mentality when Violet returns to the real world. Depending on how deeply she dives into these “Delusion” or “Madness” states affects her appearance, and how the world presents to her. Further, combat weapons and abilities are unlocked depending on playstyle.
Koshmar: The Last Reverie will feature:
  • Several variations for adrenaline-fueled action combat, through Violet’s abilities, upgrades, skills and more.
  • Platforming & puzzle-solving against a stylish backdrop of surreal to sombre settings in a completely original world.
  • Nightmare versus Dream-inspired combat style choices; will you appear as from a dream or a nightmare? Your choices could have consequences that affect the real world.
  • Multiple endings with variable factors, where player choices have an impact that shapes the world around you.
  • Replayable Nightmare Rifts, bringing roguelite moments to sharpen or dull your mental state.

Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Returns with a New 4K Restoration

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Disney’s animated classic Alice in Wonderland returns in a stunning new 4K restoration, available on digital and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray May 5. The newly restored film will debut with a special one-night-only premiere at the TCM Film Festival on May 1, offering audiences an early look at the vibrant, meticulously remastered and restored presentation before it’s in-home release.

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Alice in Wonderland has been meticulously restored and remastered in 4K Ultra HD by the Walt Disney Film Restoration team. Over nine months, artists completed a digital scan of the original nitrate Successive Exposure (SE) negatives, followed by extensive clean-up to address dust, warping, and age-related wear. The team also referenced original production artwork preserved by the Walt Disney Animation Research Library to ensure the restoration remained true to the filmmakers’ original intent, collaborating closely with Walt Disney Animation Studios veteran Michael Giaimo to review every shot and refine color and luminance.

“The original animation artists’ work on Alice in Wonderland is stunning, and we’re proud to present it with renewed clarity and vibrancy,” said Kevin Schaeffer, Director of Restoration & Library Management. “This milestone restoration brings new depth and dimension to the film’s imaginative world, offering a vibrant presentation for longtime fans and a new generation of audiences alike.”

Viewers eager to go further down the rabbit hole will find a robust collection of bonus features on the Blu-ray and Digital release, offering rare behind-the-scenes and archival material. Highlights include reference footage with commentary by Alice herself, Kathryn Beaumont, along with classic companion shorts such as Thru the Mirror featuring Mickey Mouse and Alice’s Wonderland from the original Alice Comedies, a selection of deleted scenes, and music videos including “Beware the Jabberwock” and “If You’ll Believe in Me.”

While the film may never answer the riddle “Why is a raven like a writing desk?”, this 75th anniversary edition invites audiences to rediscover its wit, artistry, and enduring charm. The 75th anniversary restoration of Alice in Wonderland presents itself as a very merry “unbirthday” gift for generations of audiences to come.

Film Synopsis
Join Alice as she chases the White Rabbit into a topsy-turvy world that gets “curiouser and curiouser” as her fantastical adventures unfold. Morbid Metal Now Available in Early Access on Steam

Today, Ubisoft and Screen Juice announced that Morbid Metal, a hack-and-slash roguelite with unique shapeshifting abilities and infinite replayability, is now available in early access on Steam for $17.99 / £17.99. To celebrate the week of launch, a 25% discount lets players jump into the game for $13.49 / £13.49.

Developed by Screen Juice, Morbid Metal is set within a post-apocalyptic simulation. Players progress through stunning, semi-procedurally generated levels, fighting through hordes of enemies and powerful bosses in various environmental biomes, ranging from desolate wastelands of the far future to the overgrown ruins of mankind.

Players can switch seamlessly between three powerful characters: Flux, Ekku, and Vekta, at any point during the game. Each character has a distinct fighting style and signature skills that can be chained together, giving players the creativity to discover new stylish and powerful combos. Players can acquire permanent upgrades to make their next run more successful, choose mid‑run upgrades, and take on high‑risk options like Devil’s Bargains or Operator’s Trials for powerful rewards.

“What began as a prototype for a university application in 2015 has grown into what Morbid Metal is today, shaped and fueled by the passion of the gaming community who believed in it early on,” said Felix Schade, Creator and Game Director of Morbid Metal at Screen Juice. “The game has grown far beyond my original vision thanks to the dedicated team at Screen Juice, and we can’t wait for players to experience it – and remember to push those combos to SSS!”

At early access launch, Morbid Metal features:

  • 10+ hours to finish the main path, with infinite replayability
  • Three unique playable characters with distinct playstyles:
    • Flux, great for high single-target precision
    • Ekku, who can cause heavy area devastation
    • Vekta, bringing ranged battlefield control
  • Two biomes:
    • Sublime Garden, which most resembles what the Simulation was pretending to be: a beautiful utopian retreat for the privileged. A millennium of neglect has eroded the landscape; human structures were changed to create the cruel gauntlet of fights to the death or to succession.
    • Steel Sanctuary, a fractured cityscape of towering steel and rusted ambition. Massive pipelines coil like serpent through neon-lit buildings, where enemies stalk the shadows and every corner hums with lethal tension.
  • Ten enemy archetypes with Elite variants and two final enemy bosses:
    • Saru, an apex predator of metal and rage who embodies the brutality and precision of Morbid Metal’s combat philosophy.
    • Prophet, the guard of the Steel Sanctuary.
  • Meta-Progression using starting modifiers, core upgrades, and persistent upgrades
  • A training room
  • Available in English, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese
  • Xbox & PlayStation controller support
  • Regular content updates throughout early access
  • And much more!
