Overwatch® Queues Up for the Future

BlizzCon 2026 is celebrating 10 years of Overwatch, starting with a look at what’s next. The newest Hero to join is Season 5’s Doctrine, a life-draining vampire-inspired Support Hero with his own bat-like drones!

Available to play at BlizzCon and for a limited time from home right now, Doctrine joins the roster alongside major reworks for Sombra and Roadhog, while the new map Watchpoint: Grimsvötn adds another battlefield to the fight. Diablo’s 30-Year Legacy and the Future of Sanctuary

A new age of darkness is taking shape: Diablo V will be unleashed in Spring 2029. In Diablo V, Sanctuary has fallen and Diablo has won, setting the stage for a brutal new chapter that dares to ask: what must you become when the world has already fallen?

Hearthstone® Debuts New Journal, New Class, and a Host of Ancient Gods

In Hearthstone, the overhauled Journal ties together each expansion with a narrative wrapper, with all of the quests, achievements, and events we’ve been through brought together in one place. Not only does the Journal track everywhere we’ve been, it will continue to grow alongside us as our journey continues, connecting dots from the past through the present and beyond.

Coming soon to the Tavern on October 20, Reign of the Black Empire takes Hearthstone back to ancient Azeroth, when the Old Gods were at the height of their power. This expansion introduces the new keyword Assemble, merging two cards into a powerful new one, opening the door for some wildly unpredictable combinations.

On September 22, Battlegrounds will also welcome a new minion type called Aberrations, born from the corruption, experimentation, and influence of the Old Gods.

Looking further ahead, the Monk bursts onto the scene in March 2027, becoming the game’s first new playable class in six years, and bringing its signature fluid playstyle and adaptable nature to the Tavern.

Warcraft®, Now and Forever

Finding ourselves at the midpoint of The Worldsoul Saga in the Midnight expansion, World of Warcraft’s next major update Eclipse (12.2) sees Xal’atath drawing ever closer to her goal of claiming Azeroth’s Worldsoul, leaving its fate in our hands.

With a sneak peek at the final installment in The Worldsoul Saga, The Last Titan stands to be the culmination of over two decades of Warcraft, bringing an extraordinary chapter of storytelling to a close while laying the groundwork for what comes next. Expect more information on The Last Titan early next year.

Shifting gears, for the first time in more than 23 years, a new story is coming to Warcraft III Reforged. The new Forsaken Kingdom campaign takes us back to the fall of Lordaeron and its transformation into the Undercity. This campaign also comes with the 3.0 update for Warcraft III Reforged which includes a massive graphics update, revamped World Editor, and more. And as a major surprise, it’s available to play today!

Finally, we’re returning to the first year of WoW and taking a good, long look around: World of Warcraft®: Forever is our new, third World of Warcraft experience alongside Modern and Classic. Today, KOEI TECMO America and developer Gust in collaboration with TOHO Co, Ltd., announced The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother, the first-ever console game adaptation of the popular franchise The Apothecary Diaries. Alongside Maomao and other iconic characters, fans will discover a new exclusive story and characters conceptualized by series author Hyuganatsu. The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother is currently in development and set to release early 2027 on Nintendo Switch™ 2, Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, and PC via Steam®.

In The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother, players follow Maomao, a pleasure-district apothecary who now works in the rear palace. She finds herself investigating the Five Mysteries and Five Curses, two chains of strange phenomena and conspiracies causing chaos throughout the rear palace, the pleasure district, and streets of the capital. During her investigation, she stumbles upon the would-be-suspect, a masked man calling himself the “imperial younger brother”. As rumors swirl, Maomao is roped into an investigation that will lead her to uncover a shocking secret that could destroy the imperial court.

To conduct their investigation, Maomao will be joined by familiar figures such as Jinshi, the influential eunuch of the rear palace, as well as new characters including Guanyu, a travelling actor whose fame is growing in the capital. To uncover the truth behind the Five Curses and the identity of the “imperial younger brother”, fans will need to explore, gather evidence, and organize the information at their disposal to make deductions, while also gathering apothecary ingredients to concoct the medicines.

During the investigation phase, players will be able to not only explore the scene, but also the surrounding city and the rear palace to find clues or interview witnesses. By venturing outside the city, Maomao will be able to gather the ingredients needed to concoct medicines that can serve as evidence or enable her to help her friends. Once the players have gathered enough information and evidence, they will be able to review them in the deduction phase.

Throughout the deduction phase, Maomao will review clues and succinctly summarize the facts to help her unravel the mystery and present her theory. However, simply presenting deductions will not always be enough, and fans will need to be able to present solid proof as the other party argues back. They will need to carefully select their answers by reviewing the information, present the relevant evidence by looking into Maomao’s notebook, or combine information together to convince the other party. The more information players gather, the more evidence they will be able to produce, helping them to solve the case.

The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother will be presented in more detail during a special livestream broadcasted live from the KOEI TECMO stage at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 on Sept. 20, 2026, featuring the voice actors Aoi Yuki (Maomao), Takeo Otsuka (Jinshi) and Yohei Azakami (Guanyu).

The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother is currently in development and is scheduled for release in early 2027 on Nintendo Switch™ 2, Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, and PC Steam®. The game will include Japanese voices with English text.

Solasta II Multiplayer is Out Now

The Last Caretaker Sets 1.0 and XBOX Launch for Spring 2027

Channel37 announces that The Last Caretaker will launch in 1.0 in Spring 2027, arriving simultaneously on PC and XBOX, and available to play Day One with XBOX Game Pass. Players can wishlist the XBOX version now on the XBOX Store.

The announcement marks the next major step for the science-fiction survival-crafting game following an Early Access period that began in November 2025. Since then, The Last Caretaker has shipped seven updates, sold more than 400,000 copies, and seen players average approximately 50 hours in its drowned world.

Channel37 has also released a new XBOX launch trailer, introducing players to The Last Caretaker ahead of its arrival on XBOX with Game Pass Day One.

THE ROAD TO 1.0

Channel37 reveals a new roadmap covering the journey ahead, highlighting major themes still to come, including new systems, locations, progression, and story developments, while teasing exciting new content already in development, still to be revealed.

The next major step is Update 6.0, planned for PC in early October 2026, expanding the world and its systems as The Last Caretaker moves closer to the larger questions and events shaping the full game.

FROM EARLY ACCESS TO 1.0

The Last Caretaker entered Early Access with a clear mission: recover human seeds from a drowned Earth, restore the systems needed to grow them, and launch humanity back into orbit. Since then, the humans in orbit have formed Committees and reached back toward Earth through Project Eden. New vehicles have opened the ocean vertically, from deep-water exploration to aerial travel. HoloMemories, Cultural Memories, new locations, and quest-lines have revealed more of the world’s history.
Alongside new content, Channel37 has continued improving performance, stability, usability, and existing systems, guided by how players actually play.

AFTER 1.0

Spring 2027 marks the end of Early Access and the beginning of the next chapter for The Last Caretaker.
Channel37 will continue expanding the game beyond 1.0, with new content, systems, locations, stories, fixes, and surprises still to come. While 1.0 marks the completion of the Early Access journey and the game’s full release, the world of The Last Caretaker continues to grow.

Start courting, marry, and produce heirs to secure your legacy. A campaign in Europa 1410 can span multiple generations, so the character you end a campaign with will probably not be the one you started out with.
Politics and society: Apply for offices and climb the social ladder by befriending, blackmailing or bribing fellow citizens in important places. Climb high enough and you’ll even get a say in the city’s construction projects: expand the city with new walls, improve its infrastructure and enact laws that make sure you always come out on top.

In addition to these core gameplay features, The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 offers many more ways to interact with the game world and achieve your goals. Which path you want to take through your campaign is always up to you.

Throughout Early Access, we will provide updates for the game on a regular basis. These updates add new content and expand on existing features, while also providing better stability, bug fixes and balancing where necessary. We want to give three of these updates special attention, as they will not only add new content, but change how you can play the game.

The Stabby Update: Knives and Swords
This update will focus on combat professions and combat in general. It will introduce the Thief and Robber, as well as the Guard. You’ll be able to equip your men to patrol the streets, break into other citizens’ houses and workplaces, or waylay carts on the city’s outskirts. Combat itself – including duels – will also be vastly improved with this update, to provide a more fun and exciting experience for you. Duels especially will get a major overhaul – we can’t wait to tell you more!

The Backstabby Update: Multiplayer
With this update, we will bring one of the most requested features to the game: Multiplayer. Compete against up to 11 other players, or play together to achieve your goals. To further enrich the competitive part of the game, we will introduce rivalries and alliances with other dynasties, together with cooperative and competitive challenges and victory conditions. Also part of this update is a big improvement to the game’s economy. We want to make the city’s needs a big part of this update: provide the city properly and see it prosper, or withhold certain goods if it helps further your agenda. Last but not least, this update will introduce a new city to play in!

Release
At the 1.0 release of the game, we will introduce the Moneylender and the Trader, allowing you to get the most out of the new additions to the economy in the previous update. As a Trader, you will get your hands on rare and sought-after goods, import them to help your city – and your purse – or export them to faraway lands. The money you make abroad will need to be exchanged for local currency; the Moneylender will help you with that – for a fee, naturally. And if you want to jump-start your game, you can, of course, take a loan; just make sure to repay it in time. The release of the game will also include a brand-new map and additional gameplay with your Guild – rise above your competitors and control the future of your craft in your city. Vault Hunters will infiltrate Providence’s active volcano bunker, grapple across the jungle with newly introduced ziplines, and upload directly into Tediore’s digiverse servers to fight enemy waves at the source. Opponents include soldiers in exo-suits that fight on even after death, hulking mechs with varying weapon attachments that can buff their allies and digistruct reinforcements, and minibosses spawned from the volcano spewing Ordonite-infused lava during dynamic world events. Surviving players will have a chance to earn two new Pearlescent weapons and 18 pieces of Legendary gear.

Playable Vault Hunter: Loveless the Hacker

Loveless the Hacker arrives as an all-new playable Vault Hunter. An ex-Anshin hacker turned assassin, Loveless has achieved a symbiotic fusion of biological and digital power to become a superior lifeform. Her psyche is shared with a digital virus of her own creation, which can digistruct into a physical Wyrm form to act as a deadly extension of her shared, perfection-seeking will.

Loveless’ aggressive, agile kit specializes in Critical Hits, Status Effects, and devastating Corrosive and Radiation damage. Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Vile Shadows

Vault Hunters join Amara to investigate Phase disturbances potentially stemming from Vile Lictor’s old laboratory on Elpis, where Order Synths that once served him lie dormant. Completing the mission will unlock a Vault Hunter Skin usable by all Vault Hunters, a Vehicle, and an ECHO-4 Drone Skin. Players can also take on a new boss, two new mini-bosses, and new Vile enemy types to earn a new Pearlescent weapon and six pieces of Legendary loot.

Available to purchase separately from the narrative-focused content, Vault Card 5 lets players earn new space-age rewards through gameplay, with 24 cosmetic items and four pieces of rerollable gear to unlock.

Version 1.10 System Updates

Version 1.10 increases the maximum level cap by 10 levels for all Borderlands 4 players and introduces Vault Hunter balance adjustments. Individual parts of Story Pack 1 and Bounty Pack 2 DLCs are also available for separate purchase starting today.
