Razer Naga MMO Gaming Mouse at GamesCom

Razer has announced the Naga, a gaming mouse targeted at MMO-gamers, today at GamesCom in Colonge, Germany. The Naga features 17-buttons including a full number pad on the unit’s left side to quickly access the item/ability hotkeys in most modern-day MMOs.

EA Releases Need for Speed SHIFT Screenshots for Gamescom


Electronic Arts has released a grip of new Need for Speed SHIFT screenshots for the 2009 GamesCom in Cologne, showing off the crisp and amazing visuals this racer brings to the table. NfS:S will be released on September 22nd in North America and will feature a new ‘driver experience’ which aims to make itself the most immersive Need for Speed ever.

SONY Announces PS3 Price Drop and PS3 Slim for September


While at their Gamescom press conference, SONY announced that they are dropping the price of the current PS3 to $299 and also announced the long-fabled PS3 Slim to be released in the first week of September with a 120GB HDD also for $299.

The new PS3 Slim will feature the previously-mentioned 120GB drive as well as a Blu-Ray player and the rest of the PS3’s functionality, albeit in a smaller form-factor (about 33 percent smaller).

New Ms Marvel Vignette and Screenshots from Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

Activision has released some new screenshots as well as a video vignette of the superhuman Ms Marvel from their upcoming Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Ms Marvel has superhuman strength, endurance, stamina, flight, physical durability and limited precognition.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will be released on September 15th, 2009 for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, and Xbox 360 platforms.

Batman Arkham Asylum Gadgets Trailer


Eidos has released a new ‘Gadgets’ trailer for their upcoming actioner, Batman Arkham Asylum. Arkham Asylum is due out on August 25th for the Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms. In the game, players will find that the asylum is a persistent entity where they can freely wander about on their quest ala BioShock.

GRIN Officially Stops Smiling – Studio Closed

It looks as though Swedish game developer, GRIN, has officially-closed up shop due to ‘publishers delaying payments’ to them. GRIN was the developer behind the new Bionic Commando title as well as the Terminator Salvation game and Wanted: Weapons of Fate.

From the official statement on the site by founders Ulf and Bo Andersen:
‘It is with a heavy heart we announce today that GRIN has been forced to close its doors. This as too many publishers have been delaying their payments, causing an unbearable cashflow situation.

After twelve years of hard work, employing hundreds of wonderfully talented men and women, it is over. It has been a great adventure and the GRIN family has experienced what few have.’

GRIN, you are a great group of guys and we wish you all well in the future.

See the Nissan Skyline GTR in Need for Speed: SHIFT


Electronic Arts and Slightly Mad Studios have released some new screenshots from their upcoming Need for Speed: SHIFT that shows off the game’s Nissan Skyline GTR. Due out September 22nd in North America, SHIFT promises enhanced car customizations by way of cosmetics as well as parts and a revised 3d cockpit system.
