*UPDATE – See the Monk gameplay footage here.
At the 2009 BlizzCon today, Blizzard Entertainment unveiled the fourth playable class in Diablo III to be the Monk (the rightmost class pictured). The class is said to be a master of hand-to-hand combat and looks to be a blast to play.
What we do know about Mr. Monk (no, not Tony Shaloub although we like him too) is that he will have a mastery of hand-to-hand techniques as well as staff and mace combat. He will also be able to use minor magics and abilities such as casting a mystical shield to protect himself (considering he will not be a heavily armored class).
More to come as we get our chance to play Mr. Monk later at BlizzCon!

After CCP announced a shooter set on the worlds of their MMO, EVE Online, I feverishly began looking for all the info I could on the title. Here is the pinnacle of my quest: a video showing the announcement footage from GDC Europe. If this is actual in-game footage, which it appears to be, this game is going to be truly amazing. I just hope they support the PC as well as consoles.
