WWE 2K17 NXT Edition Revealed

July 14 – 2016, 2K today announced plans for the Collector’s Edition of WWE 2K17, the forthcoming release in the flagship WWE video game franchise. Limited to 50,000 copies worldwide, the offering will celebrate the explosive growth and popularity of NXT, WWE’s energetic brand best known for developing and promoting the company’s newest emerging Superstars. The WWE 2K17 NXT Edition will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, as well as Xbox One, at participating retailers for a suggested retail price of $99.99.

The WWE 2K17 NXT Edition will include the following items:

  • Copy of WWE 2K17 video game;

Developed collaboratively by Yuke’s and Visual Concepts, a 2K studio, WWE 2K17 is not yet rated by the ESRB. WWE 2K17 is currently scheduled for worldwide release on October 11, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, as well as Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Wednesday, July 13, 2016 — HBO Global Licensing is excited to debut a wide array of new Game of Thrones products and convention exclusives at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, and to highlight some of its bestselling products released throughout the series’ run. To help celebrate, HBO is inviting fans to participate in a Comic Con Scavenger Hunt, sending them on a quest to find some of the coolest Game of Thrones products available on the Comic Con floor.

Starting Wednesday, July 20, at 6pm PT when the convention floor opens for Preview Night, until Saturday, July 23, at 11am PT, participating fans must complete all of the following challenges by posting photos of themselves with the specified products to their public Twitter profiles using the hashtag #GoTScavengerHunt.

Challenges:

  • Post a photo of yourself in front of the MEY for Game of Thrones jewelry display case inside the Hall of Faces Experience, located across from the Omni Hotel on L Street in the Gaslamp District. (Please note that the entry line forms early each morning.) The MEY for Game of Thrones collection features jewelry seen on and inspired by the hit series, created in a partnership between Emmy®-winning Game of Thrones costume designer Michele Clapton and the London-based jewelry brand Yunus & Eliza.
  • Post a photo of yourself wearing (or with someone wearing) The Night King mask($669.95) at CFX Booth #2944. Their silicone White Walker masks have been a hit at Comic Cons past, and now CFX is back with a new mask modeled after the king of the White Walkers. Pale blue striated flesh stretches upwards into a regal and organic ice crown to capture the look of this malevolent and powerful being.
  • Post a photo of yourself with The Night King Bust (Metallic Silver) at Dark Horse Booth #2615. The bust measures 8-3/4 inches tall. His 12-inch arms are raised as if he is a conductor orchestrating a crescendo, while challenging Jon Snow and the Night’s Watch army as they retreat. This silver plated bust is available in a limited edition of 200 for $150.
  • Post a photo of yourself wearing The Royal Crown of King Robert Baratheon at Factory Entertainment Booth #2647.Copied directly from the original screen-used prop, this 1:1 scale replica is finely crafted in solid metal to give it a heavy and suitably regal feel. Each limited edition replica (price TBA) is then hand-finished in a lustrous gold effect metal and has inset reproduction gemstones.  The replica includes a specially designed iron sword motif display stand that allows the replica to rest on the hilts of four swords.
  • Post a photo of yourself with a Game of Thrones Sigil Stationery Set at Insight Editions Booth #1703. These deluxe stationery sets ($34.95 each), themed to House Stark, House Lannister and House Targaryen, provide all the items fans will need to communicate with friends, bannermen, and faraway Maesters.

Final Challenge:

WRC 6 First Trailer Released

Lesquin (FRANCE) – July 13th, 2016 – Bigben and Kylotonn Racing Games are proud to unveil the very first trailer of WRC 6, the official 2016 video game of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). The game is set to be released this October and will be available for PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC/Steam.

Developed by Kylotonn’s team of racing enthusiasts, this new version of the game will raise the WRC experience on consoles to a new level of realism and excitement. This first trailer allows players to feel all the danger and the diversity they will have to face in WRC 6, defying the limits of the most extreme tracks in the world in order to save every possible second.

Following the community feedback, the game will include narrower roads, longer special stages, and even a brand new challenging experience with head-to-head Super Special Stages. WRC 6 also takes advantage of new development tools by Kylotonn which will increase graphics and audio perception for players. All these massive improvements make WRC 6 the best way to feel the excitement of being in the boots of a real driver among some of the toughest conditions around the world. While WRC 6 has been recently introduced to players at E3 2016 in Los Angeles (June 14th – 16th), many other surprises remain to be announced in the coming weeks.

WRC 6 will feature all 14 rounds of the 2016 WRC season, including for the first time Rally China, all the star WRC drivers and also a wide selection of WRC 2 teams and competitors from the Junior WRC category. eSports WRC, the first international online competition of the WRC, which was launched in January 2016 with WRC 5, will continue in WRC 6 with improvements in terms of access, rules, and format which will be unveiled nearer the release of the game.

“VIKINGS” VIPERS DEN – San Diego Convention Center – Booth #4215 – July 20-24

There were many ways to die during the Vikings era, however the most brutal and sinister form of death was being thrown into a snake pit. HISTORY assimilates the torture and terror with the “Vikings” Vipers Den on the SDCC floor. Fans will experience the fear of being surrounded by real snakes in a dark, dank abyss with no immediate escape.
Attendees will have their screams and writhing captured on camera in sharable gifs and receive a “Vikings” viper cuff as a token of their triumph over death. Throughout the five day booth activation, there will be opportunities for fans to enter for chances to win tickets to the “Vikings” cast panel or the “Vikings” cast autograph session, both on Friday, July 22.

Also available to fans while supplies last is a custom “Vikings” limited edition comic book from a story created by Michael Hirst, exclusively for SDCC and a “Vikings” drinking horn.

Command LIVE Project Announced

July 13, 2016 – Command LIVE is a very ambitious project. Its aim is to recreate highly accurate scenarios from real-world situations and events, as they happen.

WarfareSims has teamed up with the best editors and modders from the community, to create short, engaging scenarios that re-create real life events. Where geopolitical instability calls for military power to come into play, the Command LIVE project calls for players.

The first DLC to be released under this name is Old Grudges Never Die. Players take control of either Russian or Turkish forces in the attempt to maintain national honor and pride, while keeping a lid on hostilities to prevent the outbreak of larger conflict.

This scenario follows on from the real events of November 2015, when a Russian Su-24 was shot down by a Turkish F-16. The consequent geopolitical situation and the interests at stake, including the involvement of NATO, Syrian and rebel forces and ISIS, create a set of circumstances where every false move can end up in a bloodshed.

To better understand the historical landscape and the forces in play, the Command LIVE News Network has put a reporter on the ground and we just received their video report. The editorial team has also sent a report that we have published into the first issue of a newspaper that will be published alongside each Command LIVE scenario.

Event[0] to Release in September

PARIS – July 13, 2016IN SPACE, NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU TYPE… Event[0], the award-winning sci-fi narrative exploration game in which players must build a relationship with a lonely spaceship computer to get home, is coming to Windows PC and Mac this September via Steam and the Humble Store by Humble Bundle. The indie game first drew attention as a concept demo that won multiple indie gaming awards, including Innovation at BIG 2015 and Student Award winner at EIGD 2014. The first-person narrative exploration game transports players to the desolated spacecraft, Nautilus. As a player, your only companion is an insecure AI entity named Kaizen with whom you interact by typing messages on computer terminals throughout the ship. The game’s multi-layered story emerges organically as players communicate with Kaizen, freely explore 3D environments, gather information and solve hacking puzzles.

Set in a retrofuture inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey, Solaris andBrave New World, Event[0] is a game about building a personal relationship with a machine using natural language. Kaizen can procedurally generate over two million lines of dialog and the AI entity has a strong personality influenced by human input. Players communicate by typing messages into a computer, and Kaizen responds. As in any relationship, there can be gratitude, disappointment or jealousy, and Kaizen reacts differently depending on its mood. By working through the fears and anxieties of your virtual companion you can ultimately find your way back to Earth—while unraveling the cryptic history of the ship and the 1980s society from which it emerged.

Event[0] began as a six-month student project before evolving into a full title under the auspices of Ocelot Society, which was founded by key members of the team. The game is backed by France’s CNC public arts organization and by the Indie Fund, a funding source for independent developers launched as an alternative to traditional publisher models.

Event[0] takes me back to the kind of magic I felt playing Zork as a kid,” said Ron Carmel, Co-Founder of Indie Fund and Co-Creator of World of Goo. “There are moments where I can suspend disbelief and feel like I’m actually having a conversation with an advanced AI, probing its inner workings with words.”

The game is created using Unity Engine 5 and utilizes physics-based rendering and advanced lighting techniques to create richly detailed environments inside and outside the ship (players can leave the ship for breathtakingly scary spacewalks). Eschewing a traditional game score, all sound, including incidental music, comes from items in the environment. The ship is essentially the AI computer’s body, and reacts to Kaizen’s mood by making different sounds—which can give the player valuable clues.

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride returns to its darker and more disturbing roots with the announcement of this year’s brand new and most innovated theme to date, Secret Society. The Secret Society will unveil two different experiences, Elite or Deranged. Your status will choose your path and experience throughout this 30 acre live attraction.  For the first time ever, Hayriders will leave the safety of their wagons to confront their secret society initiation on foot, closer than ever to the inhabitants of the corn maze.  Hayride regulars may recognize some ghosts of Hayrides past which will benefit them in making it to the end of their initiation.
