Far Cry 5: Dead Living Zombies Launch Trailer

SAN FRANCISCO  August 28, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry® 5: Dead Living Zombies, the third post-launch adventure, is available now on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X and Windows PC. Dead Living Zombies can be purchased as add-on content for $7.99, as part of the season pass for $29.99 or the Gold Edition for $89.99.

Far Cry 5: Dead Living Zombies pairs players with Guy Marvel – the D-tier film director we first met in Far Cry 5 – as he pitches his vision for an epic zombie saga. In maps built from the powerful Far Cry Arcade editor, players will explore seven different film scenarios as they face hordes of the undead across rooftops, farmlands, military bases and more. After completing each map, players can unlock Score Attack to achieve three-star ratings, which will unlock weapons and gear to bring back to Hope County.

Additionally, a new title update available now introduces new features to all Far Cry 5 players, including:

  • New Game +: The highly anticipated New Game + allows players to restart the Far Cry 5 story after completing the main campaign, keeping their character progression. New Game + contains new elements such as upgradable perks in the main campaign and the higher-difficulty Infamous mode, in which AI have more health, take more damage and react more quickly to a player’s presence.
  • Destructible Objects: Destructible Objects are generic building blocks that shatter into small cubes when shot or otherwise creatively destroyed. Objects range from geometric shapes to building elements – and players can combine different shapes and textures for nearly endless destructible fun.
  • Scripting Tool: The Scripting Tool allows mapmakers to trigger different actions in their maps based on player behavior. For example, when players perform specific actions  like killing enemies, reaching a location or looking at specific objects mapmakers can then change the time of day, teleport the player, add slow motion, change the music and add or remove enemies or gameplay objects. These tools open up a new realm of possibilities, allowing mapmakers to add an entirely new layer of visual storytelling to their creations.

StarFlight 3: Universe Launches Fig Crowdfunding Campaign

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 28, 2018) – HumaNature, founded by Greg Johnson, the original designer of the “Adventure Game of the Year”* Starflight and “Role-Playing Game of the Year” Starflight 2: The Trade Routes of Cloud Nebula, announces the long awaited sequel StarFlight 3: Universe. HumaNature has launched a Fig campaign for $800K USD, which allows them to hit their planned Q4 2020 launch. Supporters can pledge at https://www.fig.co/campaigns/starflight-3? for a reward or invest in Starflight Fig Game Shares that pay a return based on the sales of the game.

ABOUT STARFLIGHT 3
Starflight 3 is the next chapter in the Staflight universe. It is a sci-fi single-player, sandbox role-playing game that focuses on exploration, diplomacy, resource gathering, and combat. Players will have solar systems with tons of planets to discover and explore, mine for necessary resources, catalog new creatures, trade and use diplomacy with locals, all while saving the universe. Starflight 3 is a true free-form experience.

Starflight 3 will feature new and previous alien races, uncharted solar systems to discover, and never before seen planets to explore, all within the same genre-defining gameplay mechanics of the original games. Players will assemble and train their crew and be responsible for their health at all times. Upgrade and customize your starship to make sure you can traverse all of the new star systems. Visit planets and find trade centers, mine for minerals, harvest plants, capture animals, and discover mind-bending clues scattered across the solar systems. Interact with aliens by deciphering their life, culture, and their standing in the universe. And combat, there is no avoiding it. Upgrade your ship and improve your crew because in battle, you will need to decide whether it is best to engage or retreat.

STARFLIGHT’S LEGACY
The original Starflight, developed by a five-person team at Binary Systems and published by Electronic Arts in 1986 for PC and in 1991 for Sega Genesis, is considered a ground-breaking game. Starflight was one of the first open-world space exploration games, one of the first instances of a sandbox game, and one of the first to use procedurally generated content. StarFlight is considered a master class in blending procedurally generated exploration, crafted storytelling, and deep world building to create a free-form experience. Its legacy can been seen today in games such as Star Control, Mass Effect, and Dwarf Fortress.

Starflight sold more than 1M copies, and it spawned a sequel in Starflight 2: The Trade Routes of Cloud Nebula, which combined space exploration with role-playing and strategy. Release in 1989, players commanded a spaceship capable of traveling to over 150 solar systems. Starflight 2 received Computer Gaming World’s “Role-Playing Game of the Year” in 1990.

Fear the Wolves Early Access Launch Trailer

August 28, 2018 – Focus Home Interactive and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. veterans at Vostok Games are excited to launch Battle Royale FPS Fear the Wolves into Steam Early Access. Fear the Wolves has already seen tens of thousands of players battling across Chernobyl during the beta period, which has allowed the team to roll out multiple updates and improvements in preparation for the Early Access launch. The focus for the last few weeks has been on ironing out the performance and bug fixes, but stay tuned for a content roadmap in the near future which will give insight on the exciting (and game-changing) new features still to come!

The game introduces intense player-versus-environment elements to the Battle Royale formula, including deadly radiation hazards, roaming mutant wolves, dynamic weather and a unique endgame extraction system, all within the atmospheric environments of a decaying Chernobyl:

To secure the top spot out of 100, players must worry about more than just survival. While it’s possible to win a game through simply being the last alive, the helicopter extraction adds a whole new dimension to endgame strategy. In the final stages, all remaining players will be alerted to the arrival of the helicopter, which will hover over a fixed area before dropping a rope – and there’s only room for one. Will you rush to be the first to attempt an escape in the hope no one else is there yet? How will you deal with the oncoming assault of not only players, but mutant wolves, anomalies and radiation? How will your squad ensure a teammate survives the intense haul up to the chopper? We’ve seen an incredible range of creative strategies for this endgame, and we can’t wait to see what players come up with over the coming months.

Enter the battle for Chernobyl, as Fear the Wolves is available now on Steam Early Access. The launch of the full game is planned for 2019, including a release on consoles.

Join us for a developer livestream at 19.00 CEST/18.00 BST13.00 EDT / 10 PDT for a Q&A session and giveaways along with live gameplay on Focus Home Interactive Channels.

Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Video and Director Commentary

August 27, 2018 – CD PROJEKT RED, creators of The Witcher and GWENT, are proud to present the first gameplay recording of their upcoming open world RPG — Cyberpunk 2077.

“What we’re releasing today was recorded from a game deep in development.” — says Adam Badowski, Cyberpunk 2077 Game Director and CD PROJEKT RED Head of Studio. “Since many of the assets and mechanics in the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 are most likely to be modified, we initially decided to show this gameplay only to media. Elements like gunplay (both in terms of visuals and how RPG stats influence it), netrunning, car physics, or the game’s UI — everything’s pretty much still in the playtest phase and we felt uneasy about publicly committing to any particular design. Animation glitches, work-in-progress character facial expressions, early versions of locations — all this made us hesitant to release what you’re about to see.”

“However, we are also well aware that many of you want to see what the media saw.” — adds Badowski. “Although this is probably not the same game you’ll see on your screen when we launch, we still decided to share this 48-minute video with you. This is how Cyberpunk 2077 looks today. Let us know what you think!”

World of Warships Legends Coming to Console

NICOSIA, CYPRUS (AUGUST 23, 2018) — The first trailer for World of Warships: Legends, the naval warfare console game developed by Wargaming St Petersburg, has dropped at gamescom 2018. Besides offering a huge collection of historically accurate warships, the game provides a custom-tailored experience for the console audience.

“Legends has been built with console gamers in mind and to fit their needs. Much like we did with World of Tanks: Mercenaries, we’ve looked at how console and PC truly differ in play styles and preferences and tailored the experience with that in mind. Battles are more action-packed and take place between smaller teams, controls are reworked, and much more,” said Victor Kislyi, Founder and CEO of Wargaming. “This is far more than a port of the PC version, it’s a whole new game — right down to overhauling the graphics engine — which makes everything bigger and brighter on consoles.”

World of Warships: Legends features a variety of different commanders, each with their own playstyle and perks. It’s important players not only level the commanders up to make their fleet more effective, but also build a collection of these heroes so they can be used on several different ships with varying playstyles.

Along with overall gameplay changes to offer console gamers a custom experience, the graphics engine for World of Warships: Legends has been significantly reworked to make the most of console hardware and provide stunning visuals for Xbox One, Xbox One X, PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®4 Pro.

World of Warships: Legends provides action-packed, fast-paced 9v9 naval battles. Players take command of history’s most iconic warships, all of which are recreated in accurate detail, and rip apart the biggest man-made sea monsters. The game is scheduled to release in 2019.
