Resident Evil 2 Launch Trailer

SAN FRANCISCO – Jan. 25, 2019 – Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced the hotly anticipated reimagining of the horror classic Resident Evil 2 is now available in North America and Europe. This retelling of the survival horror masterpiece was built from top to bottom using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine, delivering breathtakingly realistic visuals, chilling sound design, an over-the-shoulder perspective, and modernized controls. This 2019 release offers a deeply immersive and terrifying account of the Raccoon City outbreak through the eyes of two of the franchise’s most beloved characters. Resident Evil 2 is available in both physical and digital formats for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One family of devices, and Steam.

Originally released in 1998 on the PlayStation® console, Resident Evil 2 is one of the most revered entries in the Resident Evil series, which has amassed nearly 85 million units sold worldwide to date. The original game embodied the grisly action, suspenseful exploration and puzzle-solving gameplay that set a standard for survival horror games. In Resident Evil 2, players join rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they travel to Raccoon City to investigate the mysterious events taking place, only to find themselves trapped in a zombie nightmare from which they must escape. Their collective experiences piece together a comprehensive story revealing the reprehensible actions of Umbrella Corporation, which has thrown Raccoon City into a chaos of zombies and horrifically mutated monsters.

Once players complete Leon and Claire’s campaigns, they can unlock additional game modes offering a whole new perspective of the events unraveling in Raccoon City through the eyes of an Umbrella Corporation operative HUNK and a piece of tofu with a knife, in 4th Survivor and Tofu Survivor modes, respectively. If players choose to restart their adventures as Leon and/or Claire from the beginning of the game, they will be rewarded with the option to tackle a more challenging version of the main campaign with deeper story elements and content. For added variety, additional costumes for Leon and Claire can also be unlocked or purchased.

In addition to the standard edition of Resident Evil 2, the Deluxe Edition includes the full game plus the downloadable Extra DLC pack, which includes five character costumes (two for Leon and three for Claire), the Albert Model: Samurai Edge weapon, and the retro soundtrack that can be enabled during gameplay. Physical copies of the Deluxe Edition will also include a reversible box cover featuring Claire.

For serious fans, the Resident Evil 2 Collector’s Edition includes the full game, reversible box art, a code to download the Extra DLC pack content, an expertly-crafted 12-inch Leon S. Kennedy figure, “Ben’s File” art book, digital soundtrack and a R.P.D. renovation design poster.

The standard edition is priced at MSRP $59.99, the Deluxe Edition at MSRP $69.99 and the Collector’s Edition at $199.99.

Coming soon, free additional content titled “The Ghost Survivors,” will be available for Resident Evil 2. This content explores ‘what if’ scenarios around victims of the Raccoon City outbreak and what happens if they survive the events of the main game. Turn the clock back a little, and challenge the fate that awaits an U.S.S. agent, the daughter of the mayor, and a gun shop owner.

When Ski Lifts Go Wrong Launch Trailer

London, Wednesday 23rd January – Curve Digital and Hugecalf Studios’ comical construction puzzler When Ski Lifts Go Wrong is leaving Early Access today on Steam. Following today’s Nintendo Europe Indie Highlights presentation, the Nintendo Switch edition of When Ski Lifts Go Wrong is also available right now on the Nintendo Switch™ eShop. Both versions retail for $/€/£14.99 and are also launching with a 15% discount, so there’s never been a better time to hit the slopes.

When Ski Lifts Go Wrong combines the joy of mechanical engineering with the mischievous pratfalls of sending hapless winter sports enthusiasts to their doom. To accompany this commercial launch, new summer environments have been added to the game, bringing the total level count to over 100. The added content also includes new vehicles such as the motorbike and bicycle, additional music, new achievements, Steam trading cards and bug fixes.

The Nintendo Switch™ version incorporates all the content and improvements from the Steam commercial launch version. Additionally on Nintendo Switch™, When Ski Lifts Go Wrong includes touchscreen support and uses the full screenshot and video capabilities of the capture button. On PC, the game includes an MP4 video and GIF export feature so you can share your hilarious moments with friends, whichever platform you choose.

Check out the all new trailer showing the ways in which cute, digital skiers will meet their bitterly cold ends in When Ski Lifts Go Wrong.

When Ski Lifts Go Wrong challenges players to build infrastructures to transport eager riders from one side of the mountain to the other, then wince at the results when their haphazard constructions are put into action, usually sending skiers plummeting to their demise.

Realistic physics make for unimaginable mayhem. This is a game about enjoying each failure, as madcap physics and bloody mishaps make every run feel fresh. You must construct ski-themed courses by rigging chair lifts, gondolas and ramps, then directly control your riders to get them to the finish line unharmed.

“When Ski Lifts Go Wrong features some of the most realistic physics around, much to the chagrin of all the virtual skiers we tortured to perfect this,” said Jonny Hughes, Producer and Game Designer for Hugecalf Studios. ”After more than two years of development, we’re constantly finding new ways to torment the denizens of these doomed slopes.”

“Seeing the response When Ski Lifts Go Wrong has had on Early Access has us stoked to release it not only on Steam, but Switch as well,” said Simon Byron, Publishing Director at Curve Digital. “We’d recommend maybe not playing it on a ski lift though.”

For more on When Ski Lifts Go Wrong‘s development, Hugecalf Studios will be hosting a Reddit AMA on the /r/NintendoSwitch and /r/Steam channels on January 24th and January 25th at 4pm GMT/8am PST/11am EST respectively.

Aside from the 15% launch discount, there are a number of additional promotions available for When Ski Lifts Go Wrong, for owners of Human: Fall Flat on Steam and Nintendo Switch™. Steam users will also have the option to buy When Ski Lifts Go Wrong and Human: Fall Flat together in the fittingly named bundle When Ski Lifts Fall Flat, which will be discounted by 34% during the launch window.
