John Wick Hex – Lessons in Gun-Fu Featurette

July 23, 2019 – Good Shepherd Entertainment has released a new John Wick Hex featurette showing off how indie developer Bithell Games worked with the stunt team behind Lionsgate’s acclaimed John Wick films to capture the tightly choreographed nuance of the franchise’s signature hard-hitting, close-quarters action.

In the video, John Wick Hex game director and writer Mike Bithell gets a personal martial arts lesson from stunt coordinator Jonathan Eusebio of 87Eleven Action Design, a prominent Hollywood action design production company that has worked on major film properties like the John Wick series, Deadpool 2, Jurassic World and Atomic Blonde. Seeing firsthand how John Wick analyzes a situation and executes a full-force solution with whatever he has available was key to translating the films into a fast-paced, action-oriented strategy experience that lets players become the legendary hitman himself.

Every move in John Wick Hex feels like a scene from the movies: each action you choose has risks and consequences, and each weapon changes the tactics at hand. Ammo is finite and realistically simulated, so time your reloads and make the most of the tools you find on the job. The game hits home with an original storyline expanding the films’ universe, unique graphic noir art design, and the world-class voice talents of Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and more.

John Wick Hex is in development for consoles and will be available on Windows PC and Mac exclusively via the Epic Games store at launch.

Necrobarista Delayed

July 23, 2019 – Route 59 Games would like to share a change in plans regarding Necrobarista’s release date.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the cinematic cel-shaded visual novel will now launch a tad later in Q3 2019 than previously announced. While the team is eager to share Necrobarista with fans, it was determined taking a bit more time and allowing the game to percolate a little longer will be for the best.

Route 59 will take this opportunity to continue polishing the game so it can provide players with the best possible experience when it releases for Windows PC later this year via Steam and Playism.

The additional development time also means Necrobarista will support more languages at launch. Those include English, French, French (Canadian), Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, and Dutch.

The studio appreciates fans’ enthusiasm and patience and looks forward to delighting everyone with the story behind The Terminal, a supernatural café where the worlds of the living and dead intertwine, as well as the game’s first-person adventure sequences and dynamic camera that put new spins on the genre.

Please follow Route 59 Twitter and join the Necrobarista community on Facebook and Discord for the latest updates. Details regarding Necrobarista’s new release date will be shared in the near future.

Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions of the game are still on track for release in 2020.
