Wanted: Dead Presents Vivienne’s Late Night Chow

In the leadup to the release of Wanted: Dead on February 14th, 110 Industries have released four new episodes of the in-universe cooking show, Vivienne’s Late Night Chow, on YouTube. The series stars Stephanie Joosten as Vivienne Niemantsverdriet, who appears as a master gunsmith in Wanted: Dead, but has had a very colourful former life as an olympic medalist turned celebrity chef.

These old VHS tapes give us a glimpse into a character that quit cooking and started assembling things that go boom, as well as the retro-futuristic universe in which Wanted: Dead is set. Of course, they’ll also show you how to make a cheesy lasagne, a sweet berry crumble, an ebi fry and pork tonkatsu. Players looking for more cooking tips can look forward to enjoying the last episode in the Vivienne’s Late Night Chow series on February 14th.

Wanted: Dead is a third-person action love letter to the sixth generation of videogame consoles, due to release on PC, Xbox and PlayStation on Valentine’s Day 2023. The game combines skill-based sword combat, third-person cover shooting and cool finishers that allow you to supplement substance with bloody and brutal style.

Developed by the talent that created Ninja Gaiden, Wanted: Dead carries that series’ hardcore DNA, with intelligent enemies pushing you to master the game’s systems. Wanted: Dead forces players to learn how to use combos, parries and the other tools it gives you to full effect to overcome the inevitable ass-kickings the game will be dishing out. The reward will be aesthetically pleasing bouts of blood and violence and the sense of satisfaction that comes with becoming a flawless fighting machine.

Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator Gets A Tasty New Trailer

NACON and studio Cyanide are pleased to illustrate their collaboration with the MICHELIN Guide in a new trailer for Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator, as pre-orders open. The game allows players to immerse themselves in the life of a restaurant owner and to progress in their quest to win MICHELIN Guide culinary awards by excelling in the kitchen, choosing the best ingredients and relying on their team to satisfy their customers every day. The game will be available on February 23 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Three official MICHELIN Guide awards in play.

In Chef Life, the player must ensure the quality of the ingredients and the dishes served as well as the good management of the service, while managing his finances to make his restaurant prosper.

In order to be selected by the MICHELIN Guide, and obtain one of its famous cooking awards, the player must take into account several criteria that will be evaluated by an anonymous inspector, just like in real life.

Selection by the MICHELIN Guide is the first step towards the Etoile and the Bib Gourmand: to achieve this, the player must present a quality cuisine. The player must reach a certain level in the game and, above all, ensure the quality of his or her dishes during service so that customers are satisfied.

The player can then decide which type of restaurant he or she would like to work in: a bistronomic restaurant or a gastronomic establishment.

The Bib Gourmand, an official award, is given to players who choose to create a restaurant with affordable prices while ensuring a high quality of dishes, as in real life. The consistency of the clientele is also a key criterion for obtaining this award.

Finally, the player can choose to aim for the iconic MICHELIN Guide Star and thus become a Starred restaurant. To do so, the excellence of the player’s cuisine is judged on several criteria based on the same evaluation pillars that make up the famous methodology of the Guide’s anonymous inspectors: the choice of products, the mastery of culinary techniques, the harmony of flavors, the expression of the chef’s personality on the plate, and the consistency of the quality of the experience offered.

A realistic award system

The MICHELIN Guide’s Etoiles awards are a highly anticipated annual event for French and international restaurateurs. To keep things as real as possible, Chef Life offers players the opportunity to receive an official outfit and an associated plaque for each award they have won. This is an opportunity for him to distinguish himself even more thanks to the excellence of his establishment and the personality of his cuisine.

Chef Life: A Restaurant Simulator will be available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on February 23, 2023.

Chasing Static Out Now on Consoles

Chasing Static, the retro psychological horror game from the twisted minds of developer Headware Games and publisher Ratalaika Games S.L., emerges from the darkness and onto Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One today.

Chris Selwood’s return to North Wales is a somber homecoming brought on by the passing of his father. There is something strange about the rural Welsh forests, and after a terrifying run in with an unseen force, Chris finds himself thrown into a twisted vision of what was once familiar.

As something stalks Chris’ tentative steps, his only chance for finding answers lie in the pages of his late father’s journal. Brimming with cryptic notes, and hopefully a means of escaping his current nightmare, Chris must begin a journey that echoes his father’s final days.

Scan and decode the faint sounds and whispered conversations of spirits using the Frequency Displacement Monitoring Device, in haunted environments like abandoned buildings and sinister pitch black forests. Solve puzzles and uncover the clues to piece together how these wandering spirits met their demise.

Unravel an unnatural mystery from a first-person perspective complete with hi-fi sound design and full voice acting in a retro, low-poly aesthetic reminiscent of the late-90s and early-2000s survival horror classics of old with a disturbing narrative inspired by 80s Sci-Fi horror and contemporary surrealist cinema to set the stage.

“Being able to give as many people as possible the chance to experience Chasing Static is an incredible feeling I can’t describe,” said Nathan Hamley, Founder, Headware Games. “We hope that players on Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox have just as terrifying experiences as the many who played on PC did.”

Chasing Static is now available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. It features English language voice acting and supports English, French, German, Spanish, Russian and Japanese text. For more information on Chasing Static, please visit the game’s Steam Page and follow Headware Games on Twitter and Facebook.

Hogwarts Legacy Reveals Simon Pegg as Phineas Nigellus Black

Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software revealed today some of the well-known voice talent for Hogwarts Legacy, the upcoming open-world, action role-playing-game set in the 1800s wizarding world. Developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label, Hogwarts Legacy allows players to experience life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before, as they live the unwritten and embark on a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world.

In Hogwarts Legacy, actor Simon Pegg plays Phineas Nigellus Black, the cantankerous Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. From a long lineage of Slytherins, Headmaster Black is hated by the students, of whom he also has a great disdain for. Wildly ill-suited to his job, his goal is to do the least amount of work possible and avoid exposure to the student body – preferring to focus on his status in the wizarding world and his surgically manicured beard.

As fifth-year students entering Hogwarts for the first time, Sebastian Croft and Amelia Gething play the two voice options for the game’s playable avatar, which can be highly customized, enabling players to choose the witch or wizard they want to be.

Lesley Nicol voices a key character in the game, Professor Matilda Weasley. A Gryffindor, she is the Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts who aids the player in catching up with the other students by giving them the Wizard’s Field Guide and showing them the Room of Requirement. Kandace Caine plays Professor Onai who was once a Divination teacher at Uagadou, the largest wizarding school in the world, and a gifted Seer whose faith in her sight was shaken by the fact that she did not foresee the loss of her husband. Deciding to leave those painful memories behind, she accepts an invitation by Professor Weasley to teach Divination at Hogwarts. The professor of Astronomy, Professor Satyavati Shah, is voiced by Sohm Kapila. Raised in the Muggle world, Professor Shah is devoted to the sciences and tends to talk down to her students in winding and pretentious aphorisms.

And longtime franchise fans will be thrilled to recognize Luke Youngblood, who played Lee Jordan in the film series as he returns to provide the voice of Everett Clopton, a Ravenclaw and a half-blood underachieving rule-breaker and prankster. Asif Ali voices another Ravenclaw student, Amit Thakkar, a bright and well-read student who would leap at the chance to help a friend in need, though, once in the thick of things, often realizes he might be better off reading about certain adventures than experiencing them.

Jason Anthony voices both Nearly Headless Nick and the Sorting Hat. Nearly Headless Nick, the Gryffindor house ghost, also known as Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, is friendly and entertaining, if a bit pompous. He may be the key to helping the Gryffindor player find answers crucial to solving a significant mystery – if they are willing to do him one small favor involving a bit of rotten roast beef! And finally, the iconic Sorting Hat, a sentient, magical hat, uses knowledge from the student’s past along with input from the player to determine which Hogwarts house will be the right fit.
