Check out the teaser trailer and poster from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ all-new feature film “Strange World.” Jake Gyllenhaal (“The Guilty,” “Spider-Man: Far from Home”) lends his voice to Searcher Clade, the son of a steadfast explorer. The original action-adventure journeys deep into an uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest—and by far— most crucial mission. Helmed by Don Hall (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Raya and the Last Dragon”) and co-director/writer Qui Nguyen (co-writer “Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Roy Conli (Oscar®-winning “Big Hero 6,” “Tangled”), “Strange World” releases November 23, 2022.
This summer, from the biggest global animated franchise in history, comes the origin story of how the world’s greatest supervillain first met his iconic Minions, forged cinema’s most despicable crew and faced off against the most unstoppable criminal force ever assembled in Minions: The Rise of Gru.
Long before he becomes the master of evil, Gru (Oscar® nominee Steve Carell) is just a 12-year-old boy in 1970s suburbia, plotting to take over the world from his basement.
It’s not going particularly well. When Gru crosses paths with the Minions, including Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto—a new Minion sporting braces and a desperate need to please—this unexpected family joins forces. Together, they build their first lair, design their first weapons, and strive to execute their first missions.
When the infamous supervillain supergroup, the Vicious 6, oust their leader—legendary martial arts fighter Wild Knuckles (Oscar® winner Alan Arkin)— Gru, their most devoted fanboy, interviews to become their newest member. The Vicious 6 is not impressed by the diminutive, wannabe villain, but then Gru outsmarts (and enrages) them, and he suddenly finds himself the mortal enemy of the apex of evil. With Gru on the run, the Minions attempt to master the art of kung fu to help save him, and Gru discovers that even bad guys need a little help from their friends.
Featuring more spectacular action than any film in Illumination history and packed with the franchise’s signature subversive humor, Minions: The Rise of Gru stars a thrilling new cast, including, the Vicious 6: Taraji P. Henson as cool and confident leader Belle Bottom, whose chain belt doubles as a lethal disco-ball mace; Jean-Claude Van Damme as the nihilistic Jean Clawed, who’s armed (literally) with a giant robotic claw; Lucy Lawless as Nunchuck, whose traditional nun’s habit hides her deadly nun-chucks; Dolph Lundgren as Swedish roller-skate champion Svengeance, who dispenses his enemies with spin kicks from his spiked skates; and Danny Trejo as Stronghold, whose giant iron hands are both a menace to others and a burden to him.
The film also stars Russell Brand as Young Dr. Nefario, an aspiring mad scientist, Michelle Yeoh as Master Chow, an acupuncturist with mad kung fu skills, and Oscar® winner Julie Andrews as Gru’s maddeningly self-absorbed mom.
Steered by the franchise’s original creators, Minions: The Rise of Gru is produced by visionary Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborators Janet Healy and Chris Renaud. The film is directed by returning franchise filmmaker Kyle Balda (Despicable Me 3, Minions), co-directed by Brad Ableson (The Simpsons) and Jonathan del Val (The Secret Life of Pets films), and features the iconic voice of Pierre Coffin as the Minions and a killer ’70s soundtrack courtesy of legendary Grammy-winning music producer Jack Antonoff.

DreadXP — an independent horror publisher and production company — announced today that it has acquired the publishing rights for Mirror Forge, a first-person psychological survival horror game inspired by genre-favorites such as Silent Hill and Stranger Things. In development by Bobby “MystivDev” Mojsovski, Mirror Forge tasks players with roaming between realities constructed by fear, madness, and machinery. Mirror Forge is set to terrify players when it releases for Windows PC this September.
Mirror Forge follows the troubled life of everyman Thomas Jackson, who made the grave mistake of driving drunk. The inevitable crash tore Thomas’ life to pieces, putting his girlfriend Jill into a coma and killing their unborn child. Though Jill recovered, the ordeal destroyed their relationship. Depressed and feeling immense guilt, with the gnawing thirst of alcoholism at the back of his throat, Thomas attempted to end his own life. Things started to look up after Thomas pursued professional help, but then he lost his job during a pandemic.
With the trauma of Thomas’ past once again haunting him, Thomas seeks solace from his ex-girlfriend in a vain effort to rekindle what was since lost. But Jill, a journalist, is nowhere to be found. His only clue: footage of her last report. Missing children, a place called Devil’s Womb Canyon, and a mysterious blue explosion. Little does Thomas know, his nightmare has only just begun…
“With Mirror Forge, we’re wearing our inspirations on our sleeve. However, hardcore horror fans are in for a different story than what they might expect,” said Ted Hentschke, Head of Production at DreadXP. “The aspect of science gone wrong gives the game a more grounded narrative. This isn’t another ‘it’s all in your head’ experience. Something very real and sinister is behind these events, and the stakes are far higher than just Thomas’ own well being.”
“Crafting the world of Mirror Forge, the story, the character arcs, and the lore is a dream come true,” said Bobby “MystivDev” Mojsovski, developer of Mirror Forge. “I’m a massive horror fan, especially when it’s combined with mystery and fear of the unknown. Expect alternate dimensions from the creepiest corners of your psyche, puzzle-solving, being chased by weird entities, stealth mechanics, using ancient artifacts to solve mysteries, and a rich storyline where your choices will determine your ending.”
In Mirror Forge, players must travel between alternate dimensions wreathed in darkness that are occupied by terrible, unearthly beings. Using mirrors to cross between these realms, players will experience a variety of familiar and bizarre environments — from gloomy, narrow apartments to open towns, ancient houses, and factories. Thomas is defenseless, so players must utilize their wits to solve puzzles, evade creatures, and piece together the source of Jill’s disappearance and the otherworldly occurrences Thomas is subjected to. Depending on choices made throughout the game, Thomas and Jill’s story can end very differently.
Mirror Forge releases for Windows PC on Steam, Itch.io, and the Epic Game Store in September 2022. Fans can wishlist Mirror Forge and download the demo on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1807200/Mirror_Forge.

Today on PlayStation’s State of Play digital event, Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, announced Resident Evil™ 4, a remake of the original Resident Evil 4 released in 2005. Reawakened for 2023, Resident Evil 4 preserves the essence of the original while using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine to deliver modernized gameplay, a reimagined storyline, and vividly detailed graphics. Resident Evil 4 is scheduled to release on March 24, 2023 for PlayStation®5 (PS5™) console, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
As a title that set the standard for the later Resident Evil™ franchise, the original Resident Evil 4 introduced the Third-Person-Camera to the long-running series, which has shipped over 125 million units worldwide since the first title debuted in 1996. This new perspective brought players into the action and horrors encountered by protagonist Leon S. Kennedy during his daring rescue mission.
Resident Evil 4 joins Leon S. Kennedy six years after his hellish experiences in the biological disaster of Raccoon City. His unmatched resolve caused him to be recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president of the United States. With the experience of multiple missions on his back, Leon is dispatched to rescue the president’s recently kidnapped daughter. Leon tracks her to a secluded European village, however after making first contact he discovers a fervor beyond reason grips the local populace.
Now, this reimagined tale of survival in the face of overwhelming terror returns to deliver a visually stunning modern gaming experience that is true to the promise of the original release. Many team members from the production of 2019’s top-selling and critically acclaimed Resident Evil™ 2 also make their return to delve deeper into the essence of Resident Evil 4. Fans and newcomers alike can revel in both the new and familiar, as RE Engine heightens the original’s creative direction to tell a story that is darker and even more unsettling.
