Namco Bandai has unveiled its E3 2011 first-look teaser trailer for the upcoming fighter, Soul Calibur V. So far, not much is known about the game, save for except that it is due out in 2012. We will bring you more news on this one as it is revealed.
Bethesda Softworks and id Software have released a brand-new gameplay trailer for their upcoming, and very beautiful to look at, RAGE. The game will be the first to utilize id’s new id Tech 5 game engine. RAGE will be released on September 13th for the Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 platforms.
Square Enix has lifted the sheet from its 2011 E3 games lineup. A strong lineup this year, Square will be showing the highly-anticipated Deus Ex: Human Revolution as well as Hitman: Absolution while also catering to adventure fans with the re-imagining of the Tomb Raider franchise.
EA Sports has released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming soccer epic, FIFA 12. FIFA 12 is due out this Fall and features a new Player Impact Engine with enhanced physics as well as enhanced player AI.
2K Games has released the official E3 2011 trailer of their upcoming X-COM, a re-imagining of the classic PC game series. Also, the company announced in the trailer that the game would be released on March 6th, 2012.
“Every time I think of XCOM it gives me the chills, the kind that come from standing witness to the corruption and destruction of your world as you stand powerless to prevent it,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “I’m pleased to announce today that we will be bringing this experience to an even broader audience when XCOM comes to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in March 2012.”
Namco Bandai has released the official E3 trailer for their upcoming third-person actioner, Dark Souls. The game, due out October 4th, is a spiritual successor to Demons Souls and has players exploring dungeons and battling evil creatures.

SEGA has unveiled its very large game lineup for next week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. Their titles include the highly-anticipated Aliens: Colonial Marines as well as Anarchy Reigns and many, many more. We have an appointment with SEGA next week to bring you previews of their upcoming titles.

POWER A has taken the wraps off of some new controllers for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles licensed in the theme of Warner Bros. upcoming Batman: Arkham City. The Batarang controller for the PS3 retails for $39.99 and is a wireless model while the Xbox 360 controller retails for $49.99 and is a wired model. They are both due out on October 18th in conjunction with the game’s release.

Paramount Digital Entertainment has announced Star Trek, an upcoming co-op action game setting course for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC platforms this Summer. The game puts players in the roles of Kirk and Spock from the new J.J. Abrams re-imagining of the Star Trek universe. The game will feature an original storyline by God of War writer, Marianne Krawczyk, in collaboration with the writer/producers of the new Star Trek films, Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman.
“Star Trek challenges the boundaries of co-op gameplay with a galactic adventure that gamers and fans have never experienced,” said Tom Lesinski, President of Paramount Digital Entertainment. “Working closely with the Star Trek filmmaking team throughout development, the game is sure to deliver AAA production values, a wide variety of gameplay and all the action you would expect from the hit franchise. This will be the definitive Star Trek gaming experience.”
Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the have allotted two hundred 2011 BlizzCon ticket sales just for charity. The tickets are much more expensive than the standard ones, but for $500 you not only get entry to the event but also admission to a special dinner featuring Blizzard developers as well as other special guests. These benefit dinner tickets go on-sale starting Wednesday, June 8 at 7 p.m. Pacific Time through the online Blizzard Store.
