April 23, 2015 — Wargaming is proud to announce the latest update for their video game phenomenon World of Tanks—9.7—is now available in North America. These updates will soon be available in Southeast Asia and Korea on April 24, and for Europe on April 28.
Exciting features added to the game range from enhanced Team Battles, a new branch of French tanks, the third historic map dubbed “Overlord”, and tweaked balancing rules.
Team Battles now have permanent teams. Players’ teams can now have up to 12 members with 7 battling at a time. They can even have their own name and logo (after the same team has played 20 rated matches). The addition of leaderboards—divided globally into six leagues—requires a set number of points in order to qualify for each division and ascend the ladder.
The new branch of French tanks arrives with two new light tanks and five medium tanks. Out these, the Tier 9 AMX 30 1st prototype is a very mobile tank with one of the longest effective firing ranges of those in its tier. The AMX 30 B, a Tier 10, is another much anticipated quick tank with great view range and firepower.
New balancing rules will help newer and medium-skilled players get the most enjoyment out of matches by grouping users based on ability. Fledgling Tier 1, 2, and 3 players will find competition with others close to their proficiency, while more experienced Tier 1, 2, and 3 players will be matched similarly. These changes only affect Random Battles.
The historic map “Overlord” transports players to a level inspired by the D-Day Landings at Normandy. They will be thrown into a chaotic environment where beaches are littered with smoking wreckage and destroyed landing boats, combating enemies as they storm the hills.
Six vehicles have also been reworked for HD, now fully realized in astonishing detail. The E 100, ELC AMX, IS-4, Jagdpanzer E 100, Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H, and T26E4 SuperPershing will be available to roll out onto the battlefield in all their lifelike glory.

UK – April 23, 2015 – Are you sick of RPGs casting you as a valiant bore? Do you need a fresh breath of putrid air in fantasy Action RPG gaming? Then it’s time to thank the dark Gods; everyone’s favorite pantomime of gaming evil has returned! After six years of scheming away in their darkest dungeons, the Codemasters development Minions have hatched their most diabolical gaming experience yet – Overlord: Fellowship of Evil, invading PlayStation® 4 computer entertainment system; Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC in 2015.
Boasting a devilishly good script written by the original’s award-winning scriptwriter Rhianna Pratchett, Overlord: Fellowship of Evil gives players a brand new, darkly comic quest to embark upon. Fans of evil doings can watch the first trailer in action now at www.overlordthegame.com.
With the last true Overlord deceased, gamers take up the role of one of four Netherghūls. These brand new, suitably nefarious additions to the series are undead servants of the dark arts, determined to bring evil back to a world overrun by the forces of good.
But where’s the fun in smiting fools alone? Join the Fellowship, grab three of your most devious friends – locally or online – and gleefully unleash a wave of delightful destruction across the land. For the Master!
Are you the type of ne’er-do-well who thinks that friends are the disgusting product of weak-minded goody-goodies? Fear not! You can always choose to screw them over too – evil never plays by the rules!
Assisted by your horde of loveably moronic minions, Overlord: Fellowship of Evil takes gamers back into the series’ charmingly twisted world, resurrecting its unique blend of subversive humor and destruction, and then sprinkling in a large helping of four player co-op chaos to dial the eviling up to evileven. Fans will be pleased to hear that the Minions are led by their wise master Gnarl, voiced once again by beloved voice actor Marc Silk.
Filled with fun combat and twisted fantasy tales, Overlord: Fellowship of Evil invites players to dive once again into the series warped fantasy world in an Action RPG where it’s good to be bad, but it’s GREAT to be evil.
“We’ve been scheming about a new Overlord for some time” said Rob Elser, Executive Producer Minion, Codemasters. “We really wanted to do something that would allow us be evil alongside our friends, instead of the normal heroics in every other game. The idea of playing as a team of bad guys commanding Minions to do our utmost bidding, while also causing chaos for each other, just really made us smile. And as you know, an Overlord game never takes itself too seriously.”
“Finally the secret dark rituals have paid off!” said Rhianna Pratchett, Mistress of Scrolls “I’m often asked if there’ll be another Overlord game, so it’s wonderful to be back in black helping to create a new carnage-filled evil ride. This is one game franchise which has been as fun to develop as it is to play, and Fellowship of Evil is no exception. And don’t worry, there will be sheepies. We have plans for them. Oh yes!”
Overlord: Fellowship of Evil invades digital console stores and Steam for PC in 2015. Follow the Codemasters Minions’ progress towards world domination on the Codemasters Blog and on social media on Twitter and Facebook.

April 23, 2015 — An icy wind blows across World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition in the Siberian Wolf Pack update. Now available for the first time on console are deadly, new Soviet medium tanks. They’re perfect for hunting together and eliminating any enemy foolish enough to enter their territory….or their gun sights.
The Siberian Wolf Pack update delivers an alternate line of medium tanks: the A-43, the A-44, the Object 140 and the Object 430 II, creating a new branch of USSR tank fire power. The A-43 is an agile and light medium tank great for the high-speed sneak attack. Adept at flanking, the A-43 is most lethal when attacking the vulnerable sides of their enemies. Next in line is the A-44, a tank that deals a respectable amount of damage; if it cannot out gun an opponent, its deflecting armor angle provides supreme defense against incoming shells. Not to be outdone, the Object 140 and the Object 430 tanks each bring the opportunity for unique battle strategies to your growing arsenal.

Twain Harte, CA – April 23, 2015 – Australian indie developer Playcorp, and Reverb Triple XP, a veteran team that helps independent development studios launch and market video games, are excited to announce The Cosmos is MINE!, a real-time strategy game that combines quirky humor and the highly-stylized art of 50’s cult science fiction. The Cosmos is MINE! will be launching on Steam Early Access on Friday, April 24.
“Early Access enables us to tune, tinker with, and test gameplay mechanics so we can strike a balance for all players. With The Cosmos is MINE!, we’re in love with the concept of a two-method system to victory in a strategy game as it’s important to us for the mechanics of the game to match the theme of space-faring capitalism,” said Eamon Logue, designer and producer at Playcorp. “Our goal with this game is ambitious: develop a real-time strategy game that is fun for both hardcore fans of the genre and gamers new to strategy games.”
Taking place in an alternate 1950’s universe, The Cosmos is MINE! is a multiplayer real-time strategy game where gamers control a galactic prospecting team in an interstellar resource war against other greedy space miners. The survival of humankind depends on a rare and valuable resource, Animus, that has revolutionized the way humans power advanced technology like space travel. Mega-corporation TransOrbital loans out necessary mining equipment to players as they travel to distant planets to locate and mine Animus. In order to keep equipment and renew the necessary prospectors licenses, you must meet Animus quotas imposed by TransOrbital. If Animus quotas are not achieved, prospectors will have their licenses revoked and will be kicked off the planet. Worse yet, you won’t have your valuable TransOrbital stock options fully vested!
Don’t let other prospectors get in the way of making the cosmos yours! In addition to the quota challenge, players must defend their claim against other competing prospectors – either outlast opponents by forcing TransOrbital to take away their mining contracts or build up a super-aggressive army then kick other prospectors off the planet.
The Cosmos is MINE! will launch on Steam Early Access for PC on April 24 at the early entry price of $9.99. For upcoming The Cosmos is MINE!announcements, please visit the game’s official website www.thecosmosismine.com, follow the development team on Twitter, and “Like” The Cosmos is MINE! on Facebook. Interested players are also invited to contribute suggestions direct to the developers on UserVoice.
Plymouth, MI April 22, 2015 The universe of space strategy games is about to get a lot bigger with the May 14 launch of Galactic Civilizations III on PC. The landmark title from Stardock builds on the studios 20+ years of experience, the franchises history as one of the highest-rated strategy series of all time, and modern 64-bit computing to deliver an unprecedented 4X experience.
As an absolute ruler in Galactic Civilizations III, the choices you make shape your empire as it inevitably enters into cultural, trade, diplomatic, ideological, and military conflicts with your neighbors. Every empire has multiple paths of victory to pursue. Forging an empire so culturally influential that rival worlds defect to your cause is perfectly viable, so long as you can keep their dropships from landing on your core worlds through literal defenses or soft-power diplomatic maneuvers.
Galactic Civilizations III is the largest and most diverse strategy sandbox to date. Players have dozens of tools at their disposal from diplomatic treaties to resource exchanges, United Planets resolutions to the hundreds of research directions their scientists can pursue, and an effectively infinite number of ways to design and deploy starfleets. Every area of the game planetary development, starbase construction, inter-faction negotiations, ideology, and much more presents players with choices that shape their galaxy.
Galactic Civilizations III brings major improvements to the franchise and the genre aside from its triple-A presentation and the sheer size and variety that its 64-bit engine enables. The game is extremely mod-friendly, allowing ambitious modders to add an effectively unlimited amount of content from races to ships to entirely new technology and ideology branches or whatever else they think of. The in-game ship designer puts incredibly powerful tools in every player’s hands to create the starships of their dreams – some of the most impressive ships in the game were created by the winners of the Early Access beta ship design contest. Finally, Internet multiplayer makes its first appearance in the franchise, along with fantastically detailed leaderboards and metadata powered by Stardock.net.
Galactic Civilizations III is available now via Steam Early Access at http://store.steampowered.com/
