505 Games has announced that a new DLC pack for its teddy bear-massacre epic, Naught Bear, will be released towards the end of this month on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network. ‘Episode 9’ will include new characters, costumes, and challenges. Episode 9 sees teddy bear pirates lay siege to the ‘Island of Perfection’, and it is up to the titular Naughty Bear to stop them.
Episode 9 will be available for 400 Microsoft Points (or $4.99).

Electronic Arts, MTV Games, and Harmonix have released a new gameplay vignette showing off the gameplay of Rock Band 3’s new keyboard controller. The game is due out October 26th and features 83 different tracks to rock out to.

Eidos Montreal and Square Enix have released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming and highly-anticipated Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Due out in February of 2011, Human Revolution is a prequel to the original, and also highly-acclaimed Deus Ex.

This new BRINK video developer diary from Splash Damage and Bethesda talks about the war-torn setting of the game – how it all happened as well as the current state of the various factions attempting to control the Ark. BRINK is due out next Spring on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms.

Lionhead and Microsoft Game Studios have released the intro video for their upcoming RPG epic, Fable 3. Due out on October 29th, Fable 3 promises even more epic storytelling and player interaction with the fate of the world. It also promises more chickens… As seen in the trailer below… Poor little fella.

gamigo and Reakktor Media have released details on the crafting system to be featured in their upcoming space MMOG, Black Prophecy. Black Prophecy is due out later this year and will follow a free-to-play business model.

There are three types of resources in the game: metal, plasma and gas. Metal is extremely important for crafting ship modules, weapons and other items. Plasma is primarily used as a source of energy during crafting. Gas is an important resource needed for the production of high-performance computers and for operating hyper-space jump drives.

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that Batman cartoon-veterans, Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, will be reprising their respective roles as Batman and The Joker in the upcoming MMORPG, DC Universe Online. Also announced were Adam Baldwin (Firefly) lending his voice for Superman, Gina Torres (Firefly) as Wonder Woman, James Marsters (Buffy) as Lex Luther, and Michelle Forbes (True Blood) as Circe.
‘We’re excited that not only will Mark and Kevin bring their talent back to the DC Universe as part of DC Universe Online, but we’ve hit the jackpot with a full cast that are veterans of movies, TV shows and games that our fans are crazy about,’ said Sony Online Entertainment Vice President of Development, John Blakely. ‘Several of these actors are recognized as the definitive voices for these characters, and will help us in creating an authentic and exciting experience for fans when they get in the game.’
DC Universe Online is due out on November 2nd on Windows PCs and the PlayStation 3 platform.

LucasArts and BioWare have announced that beta testing is now underway for their upcoming MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic. According to the announcement, testing will be rolled out in stages from now until the game’s launch, which is currently still undisclosed save for a launch window of the Spring of next year.
‘Game Testing is an on-going process being rolled out in several phases. These phases began with smaller, more focused tests with community members from North America, and later will expand to other territories. Users selected for the test program will be notified via email with more information on accessing the Game Testing Portal. Those not chosen yet may be selected in the next wave!’

505 Games and Artificial Mind and Movement have released their highly-anticipated Naughty Bear for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game consoles. The game puts players into the paws of a teddy bear who goes on a revenge-fueled rampage against other stuffed bears who have snubbed him for too long. The game features some pretty rough stuffed animal abuse, so you have been warned!
