SAN FRANCISCO – November 10, 2016 – Today, Ubisoft® announced that Operation Red Crow, the fourth major update for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be available on November 17 for Xbox One, Sony Playstation®4 computer entertainment system and Windows PC. In line with the studio’s commitment to provide new post-launch content for the game and complete the Year One road map, this content update introduces a free new map and new gameplay features. Once again two new Operators will be available for Season Pass holders on November 17 and for all players on November 24.

Celebrate Red Crow’s Launch with a Free Weekend

Ubisoft also announced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be available for free from November 11 to 13, for the first time on PlayStation®4 system, as well as on Windows PC via Uplay and Steam.

In the lead up to the fourth major update, the Rainbow Six community remains strong and continues to increase with more people playing Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege than there were at launch. The New Skyscraper Map and Two New Japanese S.A.T. Operators

In Operation Red Crow, the Skyscraper map is perched high above the streets of Nagoya, Japan, where Operators have to neutralize an organized crime threat within a Yakuza-filled mansion. Two Japanese Special Assault Team (S.A.T.) Operators, Hibana and Echo, have been enlisted to suppress this menace:

  • Hibana is an expert at gaining entry in high risk areas thanks to her explosive leadership on the field. She is equipped with the SuperNova and Type-89 as primary weapons, allowing for rapid motions and providing precise room-to-room clearings.
  • Echo, a tactical and technology-driven Operator, is also equipped with the SuperNova, along with the MP5SD4 as primary weapons, allowing him to proceed rapidly and precisely in Close Quarter Battle contexts.

Season Pass owners will benefit from seven days of exclusive access to these new Operators, while all other players will be able to unlock them with their Renown or R6 Credits after the exclusive period.

A grinchy-green “Grinchmas™” returns to Universal Studios Hollywood with a Who-lebration fit for The Grinch, his faithful dog Max and a roster of Who-ville Whos.  Holiday whimsy also will permeate throughout “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” and the adjoining “Super Silly Fun Land” as a crew of very merry mischievous Minions spread Christmas cheer to visitors of all ages.

Delectable hot Butterbeer™ will complement the menu at Three Broomsticks™ and Hog’s Head pub when “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™” at Universal Studios Hollywood debuts this newest addition of the favorite beverage to its offerings of scrumptious fare.  Like its traditional and frozen counterparts, hot Butterbeer is reminiscent of butterscotch and shortbread that’s been perfectly fine-tuned as a Hogsmeade holiday treat.

  • Expanded ride package – In addition to nearly 30 favorites like Nitro, BATMAN the Ride and SUPERMAN: Ultimate Flight, guests can now take a spin on THE JOKER, HARLEY QUINN Crazy Train, and soar high above the twinkling lights on the breathtaking Sky Way. All rides are weather permitting. Frontier Adventures including Safari Off Road Adventure, Bugs Bunny National Park and Plaza del Carnaval do not operate during the festival.

Holiday in the Park Special Events

Holiday in the Park’s opening weekend features two special events Sunday, Nov. 20. The morning begins with the Santa Run 5K race at 11 a.m., and an Elf Run 1K for kids that includes a meet-and-greet with Santa at noon. Tickets and registration are available online. The Holiday Express band will perform from 5 to 7 p.m. free with park admission. Holiday Express is comprised of 1,700 volunteers including more than 100 professional musicians and delivers music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those in need during the holiday season.

On December 10, Six Flags will attempt to break the world record for most couples kissing under the mistletoe. Guests interested in participating will find more information online at sixflags.com/greatadventure. The Coca-Cola® Polar Bear will make a special appearance that day between 1 and 6 p.m.

The Central Jersey Blood Center will host a holiday blood drive December 11 in the park’s Employment Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests who donate a pint of blood will receive one theme park ticket valid for Holiday in the Park.
