Urban Armor Gear, or UAG, has been around for a few years now and has recently been making a big marketing push towards their new line of cell phone and tablet cases. We got the chance to checkout their Scout Folio lineup for the iPhone 6 and iPad Air. The Scout Folio lineup is geared towards those individuals who take their devices with them everywhere – whether it be to work or to play. The cases are made from a soft to the touch, yet rigid rubberized material with what the company has trademarked as Frogskin Technology™.This material promises to provide a solid grip even when the case gets wet. Surprisingly, it does this and does it well. The inner side of the Scout Folio cases are lined with a microfibre material which is nice and soft against your phone or tablet’s touch screen and won’t scratch it.
Both the Scout Folio for iPhone 6 as well as the iPad Mini are military drop test rated – standard: MIL-STD 810G 516.6. To achieve this certification, a device must be dropped from a height of 48 inches, on each face, corner, and back. The device is dropped a total of 26 times and must function properly after the test, while not sustaining any damage to the touch screen. That is a serious array of shock tests and it means you can rely on the cases to protect your precious electronics.
I did experience a couple of issues while using the Scout Folio line of cases. The first was with the Scout Folio for iPhone 6. While taking a call on my iPhone 6, it got a bit annoying to have the folio flap keep hitting the side of my head. I ended up having to hold it back each time. On the Scout Folio for iPad Mini, I had some difficulty reaching the lock button on the side of the tablet. Also, the iPad Mini case does not have an easy way to open the front flap. The product imagery on the official website shows a small tab similar to the one on the iPhone 6 Scout Folio case – but the one we received did not have it. I can’t say for sure whether or not the one you order will have the tab or not.
Overall, Urban Armor Gear’s Scout Folio line-up is a very economical choice for protecting your devices while also being very good at their jobs. Additionally, the ability to store some important cards in the iPhone 6 Scout Folio case adds some excellent, utilitarian function to the unit. The Scout Folio for iPhone 6 retails for $39.95 while the Scout Folio for iPad Mini sells for $49.95 – both very reasonable on the wallet.

Jackson, NJ ─ May 22, 2015 ─ Six Flags Great Adventure will celebrate Memorial Day weekend with the season opening of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park May 23, and the season’s most anticipated concert in the Plymouth Rock Assurance® Arena May 24.
The 45-acre, elaborately-themed Hurricane Harbor water park is one of America’s largest, and features a million-gallon wave pool, one of the country’s longest “lazy rivers,” a giant, two-story family water playground, and more than 25 high-speed thrill slides. The park’s signature water slides include the six-slide Big Wave Racer, the giant Tornado and venomous King Cobra.
Guests can enjoy the delicious smell and taste of freshly-grilled food when Six Flags Hurricane Harbor debuts its new, outdoor grill this season. This open-air kitchen will feature giant turkey legs, hot dogs, hamburgers and Mexican-style steak. The park will also introduce an upgraded Cabana Cove, with new, luxury cabanas surrounded by a lush, tropical landscape.
On May 24, Becky G and duo Kalin and Myles will storm the Plymouth Rock Assurance® Arena at Six Flags Great Adventure, presented by Coca-Cola®. These internet sensations began their rise to popularity by posting videos of their music on YouTube. This concert has generated the most social media buzz of any in the park’s history, and is free with theme park admission, Season Pass and active Memberships. Seating is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis, so fans are encouraged to arrive early.
Guests can also challenge the new El Diablo looping coaster, now open. The giant, fiery red, looping coaster is the park’s 13th scream machine, and is located in the Mexican-themed Plaza del Carnaval section of the park. It features riders sitting in “face-off” (face-to-face) seats rocketing forward and backward pendulum style until the train gains enough momentum to complete a full revolution seven stories in the air. The coaster then kicks into high gear, completing full revolutions until it stops momentarily with riders suspended upside down, and then reverses direction for even more thrills. Guests can experience six gravity-defying inversions before the train finally comes to a stop. El Diablo riders must be at least 48 inches tall.
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – May 21, 2015 – Today, Perfect World Entertainment Inc., a leading publisher of free-to-play MMORPGs, and Cryptic Studios announced Neverwinter: Strongholds – the seventh expansion for the action MMORPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons’ Forgotten Realms universe from Wizards of the Coast – is coming to PC in summer 2015. Reminiscent of early Dungeons & Dragons gameplay, Neverwinter: Strongholds empowers guilds to reclaim a keep and its surrounding wilderness areas from monsters. As the lands are cleared, guilds will build defenses both in and around their strongholds using structures like archer towers to fend off attackers, while building siege structures to increase their ability to wage war against enemy guilds. Once the keep has been secured, guilds will work to solidify their foothold along the ranges of the Sword Coast.
“Over the course of the past two years, Neverwinter has been a way for players to experience Dungeons & Dragons themed storylines including Tyranny of Dragons and Elemental Evil,” said Rob Overmeyer, executive producer for Neverwinter. “Strongholds gives our Neverwinter players the ability to create their own stories of banding together with their guild to forge the tales of their rescuing of lands overrun with Orcs and defending their turf from invading players.”
