World of Warships 2nd Anniversary Infographic

September 20, 2017 — World of Warships is celebrating its second anniversary! Over the past couple of years, the game has gone from strength to strength with the help of its passionate community. Just two years ago, World of Warships launched with 10 maps and 90 ships from Japan and the US. Now, players can take to the seas with 228 ships across 10 nations and a massive 30 battle arenas.

World of Warships didn’t just introduce more vehicles and battlefields—the game significantly stepped up its graphics, added weather effects like fearsome storms, as well as added PvE missions and clan functionality.

“I’m really excited about the sheer amount of work the team has done over two years,” said Arthur Plociennik, World of Warships Executive Producer. “We’ve stepped up our game by cooperating with our players and channeling their feedback to improve and evolve their experience. So far, we delivered 70 updates and have big plans of moving further.”

In celebration of the game and its community, World of Warships will launch several fantastic in-game festivities that will run throughout September.

Quantum Replica Gets New Trailer

PRAGUE, Czech Republic, September 20th 2017 – 1C has revealed a new trailer and new screenshots for Quantum Replica. This mix of fast-paced stealth and metroidvania action, developed by ON3D Studios, is scheduled for simultaneous release in Q1 2018 on PC (Windows, Linux, Mac) via SteamTM and other online stores, as well as the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.

Quantum Replica’s latest trailer opens the doors to a sealed-off cyberpunk metropolis in which players enter the new life of our main character. A life with no recollection of the past, no acquaintances, with nowhere to go but forward, in search of answers. As the path ahead winds through the narrow streets of the once thriving megacity, the omnipresent eyes of the city’s Artificial Intelligence burn the mark of the city’s Most Wanted on our hero’s back. Guards scout the city for this, the only unregistered citizen. Any suspicious behavior or even movement is noted, so each step is a lottery ticket for death or entrapment. Although equipped with lethal and non-lethal gadgets and weapons, killing or disabling the guards – enemies to some – might not always be the safest option, so speed and stealth are often the best way of negotiating the alleys, rooms, corridors, roofs and catwalks of the city. And acquiring special abilities of time-manipulation in boss fights will unquestionably help overcome obstacles, avoid traps and push forward towards the final revelation. Because when you can’t hide in space, hide in time…

Ironsight Announced for Early 2018

HAMBURG, GERMANY (SEPTEMBER 20, 2017) – Global publisher gamigo AG is thrilled to announce today the upcoming English-language release of the multiplayer online Windows PC shooter Ironsight, developed by South Korea’s Wiple Games. Publisher gamigo AG has proudly acquired the publishing rights for the South Korean fan-favorite Ironsight and aims to deliver the game’s intense and realistic next-gen first-person-shooter experience to western audiences in early 2018 for Windows PC. Ahead of its official launch, gamers can sign-up for the November Ironsight closed beta at www.ironsightgame.com, the game’s official website.

Ironsight is set in 2025, as war rages over Earth’s last remaining natural resources between armed forces and private military companies (PMCs) equipped with cutting-edge weapons and drone systems. As the democratization of the Middle East progressed, western governments joined forces to establish the North Atlantic Forces (NAF) to secure the territory’s resources and rebuild North America and Western Europe. In direct response, eastern nations formed the Energy Development Enterprise Network (EDEN), enlisting PMCs to protect Middle Eastern resource-gathering facilities. This bitter struggle for power ignites a worldwide conflict the likes mankind has never seen.

“Ironsight immediately won us over with its compelling, high-quality core shooter gameplay, delivering tremendous polish and refinement, and we are delighted to work with Wiple Games to bring this enticing free-to-play title to western audiences,” said Jens Knauber, COO of gamigo AG. “The addition of Ironsight to our portfolio demonstrates our deep commitment to core gaming and further broadens the gamigo group’s global publishing lineup.”

“Ironsight is more than a first person shooter and offers many different tactical aspects that we believe western audiences will love,” added Gilseop Song, CEO of Wiple Games. “We are delighted to have found gamigo AG as publishing partner for Ironsight and look forward to the release and to further enhance the game based on feedback from the shooter community.”

Ironsight is designed to be a new breed of shooter featuring dynamic online action, intense gameplay and spectacular graphics. Utilizing Wiple Games’ in-house toolset, the Iron Engine, Ironsight offers lifelike action in which teamwork and tactics are the key to victory. Teams will be able to take each other on across fourteen different maps featuring iconic global landmarks and various weather conditions, with a variety of game modes such as “Search & Destroy”, “Team Deathmatch” and “Domination”. In cooperative mode, players can choose between “Last Man Standing” and “Team Deathmatch” to hone their skills against cunning AI opponents.

Attack drones and controllable mechs play a pivotal role in battles and can help turn the tides of victory. Utilize these mechanized war machines to issue direct firepower or provide strategic information on the battlefield, reinforcing tactical team play. The use of devastating napalm bombs and EMP grenades further expand a player’s options while in combat, as they choose to dismantle machines and/or the soldiers behind them. Dynamic environment interaction creates numerous opportunities to destroy and interact with objects that change options of the battlefield.

Ironsight features over one-hundred different types of weapons, and many customizable parts and decals based on near-future war technologies for players to outfit themselves with the gear that best suits their playstyle. Additional customizations in the form of skins and free characterizations enhance player personalization as they enter the battlefield solo or with fellow clan members.

First Part of Secret World Legends Tokyo Storyline Released

OSLO, Norway – September 20th, 2017 – Last month Funcom introduced the first part of the massive Tokyo storyline to Secret World Legends, introducing a wealth of new content, a new area to explore, new enemies to battle, and more story to unravel. Today, Funcom has launched Tokyo: Beyond the Wall, moving the story into an even more bizarre and frightening direction. In Secret World Legends, the city of Tokyo has been utterly devastated and large parts of it are under quarantine. In Tokyo: Beyond the Wall players must go even deeper into the apocalyptic city in search of answers.

In this second Tokyo update, players will be able to explore vast new areas of the city. From the Kaidan Docks where something strange now creeps out from a derelict freighter, to the neon-bathed “Dream Hotel” in downtown Tokyo which holds unimaginable secrets. Tokyo: Beyond the Wall takes everything that makes Secret World Legends unique in its genre and turns it to 11.

“The infested sectors beyond the wall feature hours of additional content,” says Game Director Romain Amiel. “That includes new characters and locations, as well as a captivating storyline that dives deeper into the rabbit-hole and never looks back. This second Tokyo update truly shows that Secret World Legends is the online game to play if you are looking for a deep, dark, and modern storyline that you can enjoy together with friends.”

The third and final Tokyo update will be released later this year, bringing the storyline in Secret World Legends fully up to par with the storyline in The Secret World. All the content updates released for Secret World Legends are completely free-to-play and accessible to anyone who plays the game.

Secret World Legends revamps the core gameplay experience to be more accessible to both newcomers and long-time fans, introducing stronger progression structures, streamlined quest flow, and improved visuals and UI. Combat is more dynamic than ever, redesigned from traditional MMO-style tab targeting to a more modern action-driven reticle based system, and each of the game’s nine weapon types have been reengineered with new mechanics to offer a unique feel in battle.

For more information on Secret World Legends, including a detailed breakdown of the game’s features, visit www.SecretWorldLegends.com. In August, Funcom announced that a TV-series is to be produced by Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil that is based on Funcom’s The Secret World IP.

The New Era Comes to War Thunder

Monday, September 18 2017 — Gaijin Entertainment today announced the release of Update 1.71 “New Era” for its vehicular combat MMO War Thunder. The content update opens a new Rank VI for modern ground vehicles, adds almost three dozen of new tanks and aircraft, introduces new locations, and several gameplay features including the ability to control gunner positions on aircraft in first person.

Modern Ground Forces on Rank VI

The new Rank VI for ground vehicles will feature combat vehicles from the 1960’s to 1970’s and introduce technologies typical for modern-day tank construction. New generations of armour – composite and explosive reactive armor (ERA) – will offer vehicles with increased protection against projectiles and missiles. Stabilized cannons allow for more precision based-firing while on the move. Smokescreen launchers, hydraulic suspension systems, and modern Anti-tank guided missile launchers will add new tactical opportunities, making the gameplay on high-ranked vehicles even more dynamic and diverse.

Almost Three Dozen New Vehicles

The first released Rank VI vehicles are the T-64A and BMP-1 for the USSR, the M60A1 Rise(P) and MBT-70 for the USA, the Chieftain Mk.10 and FV102 Striker for Britain, and the KPz 70 for Germany. The other ranks will receive a combined total of two dozen of new tanks and planes. New aircraft include the XA-38 Grizzly for the USA, a ground attacker armed with a 75mm cannon designed to combat heavily armored tanks, and the Soviet flying boat Be-6, which is equipped with a total of five 23mm cannons in three turrets and can carry up to four tons of bombs.

New Locations For Tanks And Aircraft

Accompanying the update is ‘Fulda Gap’, the most modern map ever released in War Thunder. Located at the inner German border during the height of the Cold War, the center point of this scenic map is a wide stretch of land between US and USSR military bases. Featuring peaceful farmland, an old castle and open fields dotted with wind turbines, the map offers diverse combat opportunities, from long-distance sniper engagements to close quarter combat. Another new location is the ‘Imperial Garden’, where the battle will unfold in a picturesque Japanese village located at the foot of a mountain. Additionally, fans of realistic air battles will now be able to fight for superiority in the skies above “Hürtgen Forest”, scene of the longest battle between German and US troops on German soil.

First-person View From Aircraft Turrets

Now introduced for more than 50 aircraft, players can control the gun turrets of their aircraft in an immersive first-person mode, as if they were sitting right behind the cannon.

Update 1.71 “New Era” is now available for all players of War Thunder. The full list of vehicles, features and improvements is available on the official website
