Anarchy Online 2019 Server Announced for 18th Birthday

Oslo, Norway – March 11th, 2019 – 18 years! Who would have thought? Today, Funcom is excited to announce that Anarchy Online, the world’s first science fiction MMORPGs and one of the longest-running online games ever, celebrates its epic 18-year journey with the launch of a brand-new 2019 server.

The new server invites members to experience a fresh start– a trip down memory lane, to the early days of Rubi-Ka. Back to level one, in a leet-filled backyard. Dole out punishment on unsuspecting roller rats; take a walk on the Longest Road; or go AFK by a grid terminal for an unnecessarily long time. Get drunk on nostalgia; or, if that doesn’t work, you can always grab a drink at Reet’s Retreat.

A level cap system is in place, and the community at large will have a say in the pulse and progression of the new 2019 server– both in terms of expansion releases and level cap increases. Everyone’s steering this ship together!

Alexa Gains New Skill for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

SAN FRANCISCO — March 11, 2019 — Leading up to the launch of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Amazon and Ubisoft announce the availability of The Division Network, an Alexa Skill for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Agents can discover the SHD Network through the Alexa App on their phone or Alexa-enabled device by saying “Alexa, open The Division Network”. This Skill allows fans to access audio logs from an agent on the ground, piecing together what is happening in D.C. in the events leading up to the game. With the final audio logs added today, The Division Network is available for download on the Alexa app on smartphones, tablets or through an Alexa-enabled device.

FRANKFURT, Germany – March 11, 2019 – In August, Crytek announced that they would be partnering with Microsoft to bring their multiplayer bounty hunting game Hunt: Showdown to Xbox Game Preview. Now the two companies have announced when players can expect the launch: spring 2019. A new gameplay teaser video will give players a taste of the tense, competitive experience of playing a round of Hunt: Showdown. Xbox Game Preview is a way for fans to preview and purchase work-in-progress digital titles, participate in the development process and help developers make Xbox One games the best they can be.

Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person bounty hunting game that combines the thrill of first person shooters and survival games and packs those elements into a match-based format. Each match pits up to ten players—playing solo or in teams of two—against each other as they compete for bounty by taking out gruesome monsters in the swamps of Louisiana in what critiques have called a unique blend of PvP and PvE elements. But once players have taken a bounty, they instantly become a target for every other Hunter left on the map. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost everything, and death is permanent. In Hunt’s Quick Play mode, ten solo players compete for the chance to keep their Hunter at the end of the match—and a considerable amount of gold.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Gameplay Details Revealed

March 11, 2019 – WB Games and Niantic are excited to share the first gameplay details for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, the new augmented reality (AR) mobile game that puts magic in the hands of aspiring wizards and witches worldwide. Co-published and co-developed by WB Games San Francisco and Niantic, Inc., Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is part of Portkey Games, the games label dedicated to creating new Wizarding World mobile and video game experiences that place the player at the center of their own adventure, inspired by J.K. Rowling’s original stories.

In Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, the player’s journey begins as a new recruit for the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, with the purpose of investigating and containing a Calamity that has befallen the wizarding world. Witches and wizards from across the globe must come together to cast spells and return Foundables – artefacts, creatures, people, and even memories – trapped by Confoundable magic, to their proper place in an effort to keep magic hidden from Muggle eyes.

As players journey across the world, they’ll discover Inns that replenish their Spell Energy, magical ingredients for brewing special potions, Portkeys that unlock AR portals into iconic wizarding world locations and much more.

Combat skills will be tested when witches and wizards visit real-world locations called Fortresses, key areas that play host to Wizarding Challenges. These real-time multiplayer battles against dangerous foes encourage players to join forces with fellow witches and wizards to take on higher level threats and unlock rare magical rewards.

The ŠKODA Fabia Rally and Citroën C4 Rally will be available for all players who own the Deluxe Edition, with the iconic and enhanced Monte Carlo following on March 26. Day One and Standard Edition owners have the opportunity to purchase the Deluxe Content Pack or individual pieces of content separately via their digital store of choice.

AMC Announces WonderCon 2019 Lineup

March 8, 2019 – The cast and producers of AMC’s original series hit series Fear the Walking Dead, new supernatural horror series NOS4A2, martial arts drama Into the Badlands and spell-casting thriller A Discovery of Witches will present several screenings and panels at this year’s WonderCon in Anaheim, CA.

Fear the Walking Dead panelists include cast members Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, Alexa Nisenson and new cast member Austin Amelio along with Executive Producers and Showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, Executive Producer Scott M. Gimple and Director Michael Satrazemis. The panel will be moderated by Yvette Nicole Brown.
