UK-based publisher Kwalee and independent developer Galaxy Grove are delighted to announce the launch of Town to City, a cozy and creative citybuilder from the team behind Station to Station. The game is now available in Early Access on PC via Steam.
Town to City’s Early Access version offers a wealth of content for players to dive into, including:
A story-driven campaign with two maps
Sandbox mode with five maps
Eight city stages and six monuments
Over 30 quests to complete
Set in a charming 19th-century world, Town to City lets players create and customise their dream town from scratch. They can place every building, road, and garden exactly where they want, and shape a community that’s truly their own. Town to City lets players play through the story campaign or relax in sandbox mode, building at their own pace whether that means carefully arranging every detail or growing their economy into a thriving city.
To celebrate the launch, a brand new trailer has been released, offering players a detailed look at the game’s vibrant towns, complete with quaint shopfronts, bustling plazas, and cheerful citizens. The trailer also highlights core gameplay features such as population happiness and economic growth, which evolve organically as players add new amenities to their expanding towns.
“We’re incredibly excited to release Town to City! The creativity shown by our demo and beta players has been truly inspiring, and with the community’s feedback we’ve made the game even better. NACON and Eko Software are pleased to announce the release of the second major update for Dragonkin: The Banished, the fantasy medieval Hack ’n’ Slash currently available in Early Access on PC. Available tomorrow, the 16th of September, this new update introduces a brand-new character, an unexplored environment, expanded endgame mechanics, and many other additions inspired both by community feedback and the developers’ vision.
Dragonkin: The Banished is already available in Early Access on Steam and will also launch on consoles at its final release.
A richer endgame and formidable enemies
In order to satisfy both current players and genre enthusiasts, this update significantly expands the endgame with the introduction of new Hunt missions in the Erde-Nor region, including a showdown against the Red Dragon Lord. Chaos Hunts now offer more depth thanks to the new Draconic Tarot system, which lets players influence the conditions of their expeditions with customizable buffs and debuffs. Another major addition is the arrival of a new category of enemies: Champions. Stronger and more challenging to defeat, they enrich combat with fresh mechanics- along with rewards worthy of the effort.
Four playable classes
To give players even more options, the Tracker is now playable and brings her own unique gameplay. This new class will appeal to players seeking dynamism: halfway between an archer and an assassin, she favors playstyles based on anticipation, speed, and decisive combos. Her signature ability is Targeting, a unique skill that allows her to tag enemies and hunt them down.
Since Hack ’n’ Slash fans love customizing their characters, two new abilities have also been added to each of the other classes, further expanding gameplay possibilities. The Knight gains versatility with a ranged basic attack and a defensive skill that heals allies. The Oracle gains new powers that allow her to control distance against enemies or create openings in combat. As for the Barbarian, he now benefits from stronger defensive options. His new basic skill gives him more ranged flexibility, enabling effective mid-range builds.
Explore the volcanic lands of Erde-Nor
In-game content has grown considerably. The arid Erde-Nor region is now open to players, featuring four new maps and a dungeon. This environment promises thrilling battles against the fierce creatures that inhabit it. Among them is the Wyvern, an ancient scorpion transformed by the absorption of Dragon Blood, which will prove a formidable opponent.
A better experience for all players
To better welcome new players, the game’s introduction and Prologue have been completely reworked to deliver a more engaging and fast-paced start to the adventure. The highly requested Loot Filter is now available, letting players automatically sort items according to their preferences. Another awaited feature has also been added: the Death Recap, which allows players to analyse mistakes by reviewing the final seconds before their last fall. Many quality-of-life and interface improvements have also been made to enhance the overall experience.
Finally, Dragonkin is offering a new free cosmetic DLC: Founder Pack 3, now available on Steam.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, players embody one of three available dragon hunters with the objective of freeing humanity from the invading draconic forces. To meet this challenge, the game offers deep theory crafting through various character enhancement mechanics, giving enthusiasts endless build possibilities. Players develop their hero’s abilities through a unique skill system called the Ancestral Grid by associating fragments obtained during their adventure. They also benefit from the City of Montescail, a true hub that allows them to implement their strategy thanks to numerous services. Accompanied by their faithful dragonling, they discover an intriguing story as well as an endgame rich in activities and especially epic battles.
