Milestone Announces GRAVEL Off-Road Racing Game

March 1, 2017, Milan – Milestone, one of the leading and longest established racing game developer in the world, is proud to announce its new IP dedicated to the 4-wheeled off-road world: GRAVEL. The game will be available on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®4 Pro, the Xbox One all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC next summer.

CONCEPT:
“Gravel is only racing title on the market to pack a holistic off-road experience into a single game.. It celebrates off-road racing by taking players to exotic locations around the world with some of the most exciting vehicles ever created. DISCIPLINES:
There are four disciplines included in the new Milestone IP which promise to take the player into an adrenaline-fueled combination of petrol and dirt:

  • Wild Rush, combative races in wild locations
  • Cross Country, with open maps to explore or to conquer until the last checkpoint
  • Speed Cross, real tracks and races without holding anything back
  • Stadium Circuit, with arenas and spectacular jumps

Many other on and off-line game modes will form an integral part of GRAVEL and will be announced in the coming weeks.

THE TV SHOW:
The game will revolve around the GRAVEL CHANNEL, which presents the OFFROAD MASTERS format, an annual television program that will accompany the player on their way to fame and glory. Through challenges and events that are dedicated to every one of the in-game disciplines, the skilled driver must reach the FINAL LEAGUE and challenge the champion from the previous edition, attempting to be crowned as the new OFFROAD MASTER. The route will be strewn with increasingly difficult challenges, but also with discipline specialists, real MASTERS, who will put even the most experienced players to the test.

UNREAL ENGINE:
GRAVEL is the first Milestone game created with Unreal® Engine 4 by Epic Games, Inc.. This engine ensures incredible visual quality, with realistic, impressive lighting and particle effects. Furthermore, thanks to its technical features, we can approach new game modes, including, for example, the management of open spaces and completely redesigned physics.

DiRT 4 Day One and Special Editions Announced

Larkspur, Calif. – March 1, 2017 Codemasters & Deep Silver today announced that there will be a Day One Edition of DiRT® 4™ which will feature an exclusive Hyundai R5 rally car as well as a unique event* and Founder Icon. Your Stage allows you to produce a near infinite number of unique stages at the touch of a button in DiRT 4. Just select one of the five rally locations from within the game (Australia, Spain, Michigan, Sweden & Wales) and set the time of day and weather conditions. You adjust the route’s length and complexity using sliders before generating your own completely unique stage. If you are not happy with it, just press Generate again and create another. You can then race, share and challenge your friends to take on your bespoke stage.

Paul Coleman, DiRT 4’s chief game designer, commented, “Your Stage is something that we have been working on since the launch of DiRT 3 in 2011. It allows players to generate an almost infinite variety of stages at all of the rally locations in DiRT 4. Zombie Gunship Survival Coming to Mobile Platforms

(San Francisco, CA) March 1, 2017Mobile gaming publisher flaregames has today – alongside developer Limbic – revealed the May 2017 launch date for Zombie Gunship Survival, the next installment in the #1 top-grossing Zombie Gunship franchise. Coming to both iOS and Android, flaregames and Limbic revealed the mobile shooter game’s anticipated launch date via a NEW TEASER TRAILER, with the team showing off the game’s high-definition visuals and intense scenario-based action at GDC 2017 this week.

In Zombie Gunship Survival, players take the gunner seat aboard a heavily-armed AC-130 aircraft and wage war against zombies. As a survivor of a full-scale zombie apocalypse, players gun down the undead from the skies and protect their ground troops during risky scavenging missions. After securing valuable resources needed for survival, players can upgrade their devastating weaponry and build a remote airfield, which acts both as a shelter for survivors as well as a base for players’ operations.

The second installment in the Zombie Gunship franchise, which received IGN’s “Editors’ Choice Award” in 2011, Zombie Gunship Survival features a user interface that follows first-person shooter (FPS) console game traditions like Call of Duty and Battlefield. Unlike many mobile games, players are fully involved in the action and are therefore in direct control of its outcome. Also, by unlocking new weapons and troops, the way players can approach specific battle scenarios is reinvented each time, leading to freshness of experience and deeper immersion.

Paradox and Eugen Team Up for Steel Division: Normandy 44

STOCKHOLM – March 1st, 2017 — Paradox Interactive, a publisher on the front line of gaming, today announced that it has partnered with Eugen Systems, a renowned developer of games such as the Wargame-series and R.U.S.E., to release Steel Division: Normandy 44, a new tactical real-time strategy game for Windows PCs.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 is a game that puts players in command of historically accurate tanks, troops, and vehicles at the height of World War II, and will feature a single-player campaign alongside online multiplayer modes, up to and including 10-versus-10 battles. The game will be available later this year.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 features thorough attention to historical detail, from the carefully rendered tanks to the in-game maps – based on actual aerial reconnaissance photos of Normandy in 1944. The game runs on the latest version Eugen’s IRISZOOM engine, allowing players to zoom from an aerial, battle-wide perspective all the way down to a single unit, and keep track of the dynamic front line as they plan and execute maneuvers, ambushes, and more. New Avatar Game Coming from Ubisoft’s The Division Team

PARIS — February 28, 2017 Today, Ubisoft® announced it is partnering with Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox Interactive to create a cutting-edge new game for consoles and PC set on Pandora, the beautiful and dangerous moon from James Cameron’s Avatar film franchise. Massive Entertainment, a Ubisoft studio, is leading the game’s development.

Massive is behind the creation of Tom Clancy’s The Division™, which last spring broke multiple records in the games industry, including the record for the industry’s best-selling new game franchise in an opening week. They are now working on a new AAA-project based on Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time. Four sequels to Avatar are currently in development, and Lightstorm, Fox Interactive and Massive are working together to create a game that will continue to expand and deepen in the Avatar universe in exciting and innovative ways along with the films.
