The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Now Open at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal City, California, April 7, 2016 – Harry Potter film talent, Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), and James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), joined Universal Studios Hollywood’s President, Larry Kurzweil and the Hogwarts Express conductor to officiate today’s eagerly-awaited opening of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™” at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Joining in the celebration were thousands of enthusiastic fans, clad in their favorite Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry house colors to be among the very first to experience the land on opening day.

More than five years in the making, and inspired by J.K. Rowling’s compelling stories and characters that were brought to life in the Warner Bros. films, “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” has been masterfully recreated with impeccable detail as a real-world interpretation at Universal Studios Hollywood.  The land is faithful to the visual landscape of the fiction and films, including Hogwarts castle which serves as its iconic focal point.

From its snow-capped roofs and cobblestone streets to the historic British sensibilities that characterize the whimsical look and feel of the land, “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” transports guests of all ages to the very places they read about in the stories or watched on the silver screen.

Upon entering the land through the archway, Hogsmeade bustles to life with the same vitality of a quaint local village: merchants hard at work, a train conductor welcoming new arrivals and a pub packed to the gills with hungry patrons, but with the added element of enthusiastic guests intent on experiencing them all, including the land’s signature ride, “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey,” and the family outdoor coaster, “Flight of the Hippogriff™.”

An achievement in pioneering theme park ride technology, “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” makes its U.S. debut at Universal Studios Hollywood in hyper-realistic 3D-HD designed to further immerse guests in an already engaging storyline.  The multidimensional thrill ride features a groundbreaking robotics ride system, fused with elaborate filmed action sequences and immersive visceral effects.  In this updated adaptation of the ride, guests sports Quidditch-inspired 3D goggles as they venture through journeys experienced by Harry and his friends, spiraling and pivoting 360-degrees along an elevated ride track on a whirlwind adventure of a lifetime.

Attack on Titan Platforms and Release Date Announced

Burlingame, Calif.—April 7, 2016—KOEI TECMO America is thrilled to reveal today a wealth of new information relating to the western release of Omega Force’s highly acclaimed action title, based on the international hit anime series, ‘Attack on Titan’!

Following a successful launch in its native Japan, the eagerly anticipated action game will be released on August 30, 2016 across America under the title, Attack on Titan.

KOEI TECMO also confirmed that Attack on Titan will be available for players to enjoy on a wide selection of consoles and is currently being developed for physical release on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and for digital-only release on thePlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®Vita handheld system and on PC via Steam®.

Attack on Titan closely follows the riveting storyline of the anime’s first season and focuses on the exploits of various key characters, putting the player in a position to relive its most shocking, courageous and exhilarating moments. It revolves around the story of three young people who survive the destruction of their walled city district by enormous, man-eating Titans and eventually go on to join the Scout Regiment in order to protect humanity from this overpowering foe.

While more information about the game’s plot, original content and playable characters will be unveiled in the coming weeks, KOEI TECMO has released the first batch of localized assets, as well as an action-packed trailer. This title is expected to receive a rating of “M for Mature” by the ESRB.

April 7, 2016 – Creative Assembly unveils new gameplay for the Chaos Warriors in Total War: WARHAMMER with a massive new Let’s Play video of Chaos Warriors vs. The Empire.

This first-look at the Chaos Warriors showcases a range of Chaos units, from core infantry such as Chaos Marauders and Warriors, to higher-tier monstrosities such as the Chaos Giant and the brutal Hellcannon – a foul instrument which transmutes souls into flesh-searing bolts of arcane energy and hurls them into the enemy ranks.

Accompanied with developer commentary, this land battle also showcases spells from the Lore of Light and Lore of Fire as the two armies clash on the frigid plains of Norsca.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada Eldar Fleet Trailer

April 7, 2016 – Fitted with the finest technology in the universe, Eldar ships are fast and highly maneuverable. They pack serious firepower, with incredible damage projection and application. Their strategy is based around hit-and-run assaults, taking their targets by surprise while inflicting maximum damage. Their speed allows them to disappear as fast as they arrived, as shown in today’s Eldar trailer. Eldar ships are as fast as they are fragile – they lack in any heavy armour. With the exception of their battleships, their craft are not fitted with shields, instead relying on advanced Holo-fields in conjunction with their speed and agility to avoid incoming fire. This makes them extremely hard to track and hit with conventional weaponry. Destroying Eldar ships’ engines is the best way to keep them at close-range, ensuring you have enough time to inflict lethal damage.

The Eldar fleet will be joining the beta next week! They will be ready to pit their guerilla tactics against the Ork’s brutal manoeuvres, the Chaos’ long-range gameplay and the Imperium’s balanced style, during epic and tactical space battles. Eldar fleets are built around strategies based on speed, surprise and sudden firepower, offering a brand new gameplay style and deep tactical options for Battlefleet Gothic players.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada releases two weeks from now– and thanks to the tantalizing fun offered by the Beta, almost 100,000 players have already preordered the game. The current beta players, along with all who join them, will be able to help Tindalos balance the Eldar fleets as soon as next week, just like they have the other three factions. This will ensure the best possible experience when the game releases on April 21.

Players can preorder Battlefleet Gothic: Armada’s Early Adopters Edition. This edition is available to all players who preorder the game, as well as those who buy the game up to two months after release. Splendy Games Announces Live Action Horror Game The Bunker

London, UK, 4th April 2016 – Splendy Games are announcing their first game, The Bunker, a completely live action psychological horror starring The Hobbit’s Adam Brown and Penny Dreadful’s Sarah Greene.

With a story created by writers behind the likes of The Witcher, SOMA and Broken Sword, The Bunker tells the story of John, the last survivor living in a government bunker after a nuclear attack wiped out England. But the bunker holds many secrets, and John must confront his suppressed memories to survive the horrors deep underground.

The Bunker is a completely live action experience with zero computer generated effects, filmed on location in a real government nuclear bunker located in Essex, England. Players will guide John through the bunker, solving puzzles, uncovering secrets and triggering flashbacks to reveal the terrifying mysteries of The Bunker.

Hobbit star Adam Brown says “The whole experience was fascinating to be a part of. As the story is non-linear we had to film every single possibility and interaction – I became a real life games character! It’s a terrific location and very spooky – they had me crawling around in some strange places!”
