Steel Division: Normandy 44 – Back to Hell Release Trailer

STOCKHOLM – Feb. 13, 2018 – Paradox Interactive and Eugen Systems are making history today, with the release of Back to Hell for Steel Division: Normandy 44. Now available on Steam for Windows PC, the game’s second expansion features first-ever cooperative play, seven new historical missions, four new divisions, two new exclusive ace models and 58 new units. Don’t be a saint, get Back to Hell now for $14.99 MSRP.

In Back to Hell, players will lead 11 never-before-seen divisions into seven historically accurate battles (including five in co-op and multiplayer), based on real world operations. For each historical mission, divisions are set, and players have to choose the pre-made battlegroups they want to command. Battlegroups must fit into a greater plan to achieve common goals, which means players will have to fight and accomplish objectives with what they are given, not always what they would have chosen.

In addition to historical missions, Back to Hell features four new divisions: Allied (Demi-Brigade SAS and the 7th Armoured Division “Desert Rats”) and Axis (Festung Gross-Paris and 2. Panzerdivision), with 58 new units, like the Staghound, Wasp Mk.IIC, FFI Jagdpanzer IV, Jeep SAS, Maultier Mun and Panhard MG.

Back to Hell arrives alongside a free content update, Bulls on Parade, which adds a long-awaited random map option to the lobby, and features the free historical mission Operation Atlantic in solo, co-op and multiplayer. The 11th Armoured Division “Black Bull” is playable for the first time, and only available in this mission. It will team up with the 3rd Armored and face off against the 16 Luftwaffe and the 21 Panzer divisions.

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE! Paradox introduced a new bundle today, Steel Division: Normandy 44 Locked & Loaded, which contains the base game, deluxe edition content, Second Wave and Back to Hell. Available exclusively on Steam, Locked & Loaded gets players up-to-date on content and 10% off the cost.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Launch Trailer

Burlingame, Calif. – February, 13 2018 – KOEI TECMO America is proud to announce today the launch of the next installment of an epic series – DYNASTY WARRIORS 9, for the PlayStation®4 Computer Entertainment System, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC via Steam®.

In DYNASTY WARRIORS 9, players will explore China during the waning and chaotic days of the Han dynasty and the emergence of conflict leading up to the Three Kingdoms era. Setting out to complete various objectives, players will traverse an unprecedented open world map to navigate a variety of different landscapes; ranging from vast plains to snow-covered peaks presented with dynamic day, night and weather cycles. Closely following real historical events and figures, this new title will see the player following the personal struggles and progression of their chosen character through the completion of both key and secondary events, which can be reached in a myriad of ways. Experience the story through 90 characters from the Dynasty Warriors series – 83 making a return and 7 new faces joining the fight.

Whether players choose to follow the main storyline quests in DYNASTY WARRIORS 9 or spend time exploring the vast natural wonders of China – from the lush cedar woods and bamboo to the legendary Great Wall – the ongoing war will continue to rage along their journey. Skirmishes, clashes, special side missions, and larger scale conflicts can be engaged at the player’s will as they venture through far-reaching lands, allowing for a sense of freedom unfelt in previous Dynasty Warriors titles.

A couple of exhilarating new combat mechanics are introduced to the series’ signature “one versus thousands” style gameplay through the State Combo System. This new system allows players to perform three different attack styles – Trigger Attacks, Flow Attacks and Reactive Attacks – which react and respond to the conditions of battle. Trigger Attacks change an enemy’s state, while Flow Attacks are combo attacks that change depending on an enemy’s state, and Reactive Attacks create optimal attacks for the situation at hand.  These new enhancements aim to create a thrilling and fluid experience unlike any previous entry in the franchise.

Fear Effect Sedna Release Date Announcement Trailer

London, UK – 13th February: Almost two decades after the franchise made its debut on PlayStation, Square Enix Collective® and Sushee are excited to announce that their Fear Effect sequel – Fear Effect® Sedna – will hit PS4™, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™ and PC on Tuesday March 6th, 2018.

An entirely new chapter in the series, Fear Effect Sedna is co-written by the series’ original writer and takes Hana, Rain, Glas and Deke – along with new addition Axel – into the world of Inuit mythology. Built around a third-person isometric point of view, Fear Effect Sedna combines action, stealth, and puzzle solving with animated cutscenes – crucially including the classic death cutscenes from the original games.

“Fear Effect Sedna generated an amazing response from fans of the series when we ran our Kickstarter, and with the support of Square Enix Collective and co-producer Forever Entertainment, we’re excited to see just what they make of it come release,” offers Benjamin Anseaume, founder of Sushee.

“Developing Fear Effect Sedna has really brought the team here at Sushee together, and that’s exactly what the gameplay is about. Each character has different special weapons and the game includes a paused tactical mode to control different team members at the same time and give orders to work as a team. It’s an approach that taps into the core structure of the original games but, with the technology available to us today, feels very 2018.”

Following on from Fear Effect Sedna, French studio Sushee is also working on the recently announced Fear Effect Reinvented – a remastered take on the original game released on PlayStation almost 18 years ago – also in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The combination of the two Sushee games will bring the Fear Effect IP to an audience of existing fans looking to recapture the spirit of the original games and new players who missed them the first time around.

“2018 is a big year for Fear Effect and a big year for Collective alike,” says Phil Elliott, Director of Indie Publishing at Square Enix West. “When Square Enix launched Collective, one of the goals was to see if opening up some of our established IP to benefit indie studios, and it’s great to see how Sushee have gone about the task. Fear Effect Sedna is going to be an important chapter in our story for that very reason, and we think 2018 is going to be the year when gamers finally reconnect with the world of Hana, Rain, Glas and Deke.”

Fear Effect Sedna features:

  • The return of the original Fear Effect’s much loved cast of characters

  • Isometric viewpoint to enable players to interact with multiple characters at the same time

  • Gameplay that mixes real-time action, tactical play, stealth, and puzzles

  • The adrenaline-based “Fear Effect” gameplay mechanic that impacts on both attack and defence

  • Animated stylistic cutscenes, stunning environments, and classic death cutscenes

  • A mature and exciting story that follows mercenaries uncovering the mysteries of Inuit mythology

Fear Effect Sedna will hit PS4™, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™ and PC on Tuesday March 6th, 2018 for $19.99/€19.99/£15.99.

As a testament to Square Enix Collective’s commitment to indie developers, it recently joined forces with AMD to support AMD4U, an innovative new program that provides AMD consumers with a range of games from a new generation of cutting edge independent development teams from around the world.

Descenders is developed by RageSquid, and published by No More Robots, the British publishing label from Mike Rose, with funding from creative industries fund nl, and sound design from Power Up Audio, best known for their work on titles like Crypt of the Necrodancer and Towerfall Ascension. Finally, the teams are partnering up with drum & bass label Liquicity to deliver a fully licensed soundtrack.
