Grand Casino Tycoon Announcement Trailer Released

Aerosoft, a prolific publisher of best-selling simulation titles, and developer stillalive studios on Tuesday unveiled Grand Casino Tycoon, the latest game in the publisher’s award-winning roster. Launching on Windows PC via Steam on May 20, 2021, Grand Casino Tycoon adds new levels of depth to the classic Tycoon game formula. Virtual Bugsy Siegels will not only design the layout of their sparkling gambling dens, but will need to keep a close eye on the guests and strategically manage their wants, needs, and winnings — after all, you don’t want them to win or lose too much money! Find that magic middle-line and keep the chips flowing and the crowds happy!

“Grand Casino Tycoon follows in the footsteps of classics of the genre, but brings with it all sorts of fresh features and ideas that fans and newcomers alike will enjoy,” said Winfried Diekmann, CEO of Aerosoft. “The team at stillalive have crafted a fantastic business management sim with strategy and RPG elements that all come together for a fun, engaging experience, and we’re pleased to have added it to Aerosoft’s lineup of acclaimed simulation titles.”

“Joining Aerosoft’s roster of award-winning simulation games is again an honor, and we’re excited to introduce such a witty and well-rounded tycoon title to the mix,” said Julian Mautner, CEO of stillalive studios. “Grand Casino Tycoon features all of the well-loved tycoon genre elements, with an extra dose of humor and deep gameplay, combining to create a superbly one-of-a-kind experience.”

Watch the teaser trailer for Grand Casino Tycoon here:

In Grand Casino Tycoon, makin’ money is the name of the game, and simulated Sam Rothsteins will need to do whatever it takes to keep gamblers gamblin’ and the cash coming in. Place slot machines and games tables in strategic locations to maximize traffic, but make sure the drinks are nice and close by with easily accessible bars and restaurants. Design is only half the battle, however, and players will need to pay close attention to individuals winning more than they should — never forget, the house always wins. Managers need to keep their eyes glued to the security cams for expert gamblers and deal with them appropriately, but make sure to provide a decadent and thrilling experience for the guests that want to spend!

Key Features of Grand Casino Tycoon:

  • What More Could a Gambler Need?: An innovative “Needs” system allows casino managers to observe and manipulate a guest’s hunger, thirst, spending level, and more, creating the perfect mood and environment for parting with their hard-earned cash.
  • Start Small, Dream Big: Keep up to date on the latest gambling technology through a robust tech tree. Keep upgrading your casino and its amenities, and increase management knowledge to become a true casino tycoon!
  • How Do You Casino?: Three modes, three ways to make cash; Campaign Mode, Sandbox Mode, or Free Play Mode allow players to experience all manner of casino management
  • Interior Design is Your Passion: Create the perfect layout with a variety of exciting games, from bright and colorful slot machines to the classics like Blackjack, Craps, and of course, Roulette. Guests will keep coming back to a well-designed casino!
  • Earn a Michelin Star: Casinos aren’t just for gambling, so offering an opulent selection of fine dining experiences and delicious cocktails will keep the guests spending money and increase their visit time
  • Use a Little Muscle: Use security cams, pit bosses, and other “controlling objects” to maintain a perfect blend of winners, losers, and most importantly, BIG spenders

War Hospital Announced with Trailer

War Hospital, a new title by Brave Lamb Studio, was just revealed at Future Games Show, the biggest gaming event of Q1 2021. This unique society survival about saving lives during World War 1 instead of taking them, was one of two new games revealed by the publisher Movie Games.

In War Hospital, the year is 1917. You are major Henry Wells, a retired British combat medic, drafted back and thrown into the nightmare of World War I. Understaffed and undersupplied, you are the last bastion of hope for countless soldiers at the Eastern Front.

The game represents the new genre of society survival, which consists of such games as Frostpunk and This War of Mine.

As the commander of a field hospital, you will build a facility to heal combat injuries while the artillery shells explode ear-splittingly close. The game faithfully depicts WW1 wounds and field equipment, and presents realistic medical tools and methods, giving the player an opportunity to develop them.

The team at Brave Lamb Studio emphasizes the moral side of commanding a WW1 field hospital. The players’ duties will involve triage, the prioritization of wounded soldiers, and require a look in their personal history to determine who should be saved.

Fire Commander Reveal Trailer Unveiled

During Future Games Show, the biggest gaming event of Q1 2021, Movie Games revealed two upcoming games. One of them is Fire Commander, co-produced by Atomic Wolf and Pixel Crow, where you can face the raging inferno. It’s a dream-come-true for everyone who wanted to don the yellow bunker gear.

Fire Commander is a game about leading the most daring firefighting and rescue operations. Taking the genre of a real time tactical rescue game to the next level, it tasks the player with leading a team of firefighters. It’s a rare game about being an everyday hero, where the enemy can’t be outgunned, only outsmarted.

The players will face a variety of situations that firefighters have to overcome in real life, including toxic spills, plane crashes, wildfires and more.

The fire itself will behave realistically, with different types of materials having a different combustion temperature, which could affect the player’s tactics. Digital fire commanders will have to consider such factors as backdraft or smoke. On the upside, they’ll have various firefighter classes, unlockable skills, gear and vehicles at their disposal. They will also see their fire station grow and develop.

Taking care of the team is an important element of Fire Commander. The players will send their heroes on training courses, develop their skills, and monitor their mental condition. This is necessary to ensure that during emergencies, everyone knows what to do, and won’t hesitate to do it.

Europa Universalis IV: Leviathan Announced

Not everything has to be brute force. Armies are necessary, of course, but there are other ways to succeed. Build a force of diplomats, for example, and use your flattery as a weapon against others. Or draw wealth and power from the remote regions of your realm to construct a metropolis to be the engine of your economy. You can try many new routes to global power in Europa Universalis IV: Leviathan, coming next month.

Leviathan is the newest expansion to Paradox’s grand strategy classic about the early modern world. The first release from the Barcelona based Paradox Tinto, Leviathan adds new options for diplomatic and economic play, and will be available to Europa Universalis players on 27 April 2021.

One of the highlights of Leviathan is the ability to use diplomatic Favors to gain benefits from other nations. If you post a diplomat to curry favor in a foreign nation, you will slowly build up enough diplomatic power to request material aid, changes in alliances and even the return of core provinces.

Amnesia: Rebirth Adventure Mod Update Released

One of the top horror games launched in 2020, Amnesia: Rebirth, is now welcoming adventure fans to experience this unique game; safe from monsters, darkness, and jumpscares. Swedish studio, Frictional Games, launched today Amnesia: Rebirth Adventure Mode on Steam, GOG.com, and Epic Games Store, celebrating the release with a fantastic 40% discount! PlayStation will receive Adventure Mode in the next few weeks.

In a Dev Diary, Fredrik Olsson Creative Lead on Amnesia: Rebirth explains the new mode and what to expect!

What’s Adventure Mode?

Amnesia: Rebirth Adventure Mode is a new way to experience the fantastic quest of Tasi Trianon with its captivating narrative, cool environments, unique theme, and challenging puzzles, without the anxiety-inducing, and very distressing elements present in the original game.

“The game still has its very serious theme and sometimes unnerving ambiance, but the new mode feels a lot more like an Indiana Jones type of adventure in places where it would otherwise be more of a horror experience,” explains Fredrik Olsson.

The game is still the same at its core. Following the story of Tasi Trianon, she finds herself in the desolate landscape of the Algerian desert, battling against her fears and pain as she fights to save the ones closest to her. Amnesia: Rebirth will take you through a wide variety of uncanny environments, from scorched deserts and dark caves to forgotten ruins and alien landscapes.

How is Adventure Mode different?

The new mode removes all life-threatening encounters with monsters, as well as the harrowing sound and visual effects that would affect Tasi’s fear levels. The environments are now lit up to a point where you won’t have the same feeling of claustrophobia and trepidation, allowing you to explore freely without worrying about monsters or Tasi’s mental state.

In addition, Adventure Mode includes a number of bonus puzzles that add up to the experience of a true Lovecraftian mystery adventure novel.

“We believe that anyone who loves a good story-driven adventure game will be stoked about this new mode. Not everyone is into horror and we don’t want that to block people from experiencing Tasi’s story,” comments Fredrik. “We did something very similar when we released the Safe mode for SOMA. It was extremely well received and opened up the game to a much broader audience, something we hope will happen with Rebirth as well.”

Without spoiling anything for you, expect a creepy adventure thriller game that takes you on a journey through a wonderfully crafted world. The game conserves much of its dramatic essence going full out with a compelling story – a tense, slowly-building plot to uncover the mystery surrounding Tasi’s situation and her fight for survival.

Adventure Mode is now out on Steam, GOG.com, and Epic Games Store at 40% off. PlayStation will receive Adventure Mode in the next few weeks. If you haven’t already picked up any of Frictional Games’ previous titles you can do so now at an 80% discount, as part of celebrating the release of the new free mode for Rebirth.
