Developer Invisible Walls and Amplifier Studios are excited to announce that their slap-happy multiplayer game Neighbors: Suburban Warfare will bring chaos and mayhem to players on PC as it releases into Early Access on April 17th. Download the beta from the Steam store page here.

Watch the explosive release date trailer here:

Set in the peaceful city of Heartsville, Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is the exact opposite of peace and quiet, as two teams of up to four players battle it out to become the top dogs of the neighborhood. Gear up and take the fight to the streets with one of eight playable neighbor characters, each with abilities and perks to help them reign supreme. Whether it’s the snot -nosed brat Kevin and his annoying slingshot, or the lovable old lady Doreen that lives next door and packs quite a punch, each character offers varied move sets, a unique ability, and talents that players can spec into to personalise their gameplay.

Upon choosing thy neighbor, it is time to vanquish thy neighbor. The goal is simple – dispense indiscriminate justice upon your opponent’s house by destroying key items within, all the while defending your own humble abode from a barrage of makeshift weapons and quirky contraptions.

Deploy and position various contraptions made out of everyday household items, whether it’s wooden planks to barricade your home or a trusty catapult to fling yourself straight into your neighbor’s backyard. Each match promises to up the hilarious antics with endless replayability, joined by even more neighbors, weapons, and surprises arriving during the Early Access launch.

“Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is the culmination of over three years of hard work at Invisible Walls, and we are excited to share the release date with our fans and new players around the world!” says David Jean Heldager, CEO at Invisible Walls. “We have always been a studio that helps bring players together in fun and often chaotic multiplayer titles, and Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is the next step of that journey.”

Neighbors: Suburban Warfare launches into Steam Early Access on April 17th

The design of Abyssus’ co-operative combat is inspired in part by DoubleMoose’s frequent sessions of playing Deep Rock Galactic, Warhammer 2: Vermintide and Gunfire Reborn together as a studio.

Brinehunters can wield a range of versatile, deadly weapons in upcoming’s demo, showcased within today’s trailer:

  • The Brinerevolver: A masterfully crafted semi-automatic sidearm designed for reliable critical strikes. Built for precision and power, the primary fire mode excels in close-quarters combat, delivering consistent damage to deal with nearby enemies, while the secondary fire lets you pick off distant foes while aiming down its sight.
  • The Engine Rifle: A powerhouse of the depths, the Engine Rifle earns its name from its fiery temper. Use your secondary weapon to rev the engine into overdrive, unleashing bursts of raw power while pushing heat levels to the brink.

Along the way, you will unlock alternate firing modes that amplify your weapons’ destructive power to match the escalating threat. Enhance the Engine Rifle with a Concentrated Shot mod, delivering a powerful knockback effect to enemies, or modify the Brinrevolver with the Quick Scope mod, offering an increase in damage after aiming through its scope. With the right upgrades, the abyss becomes yours to conquer.

In Abyssus, Brinehunters are sent to scour the ocean floor to investigate a powerful electromagnetic source, a journey leading the crew to an ancient, sunken city. Explore the ruins of this forgotten civilization to discover its secrets while fighting through corrupted hordes of enemies with weapons made of ancient tech that deliver responsive feedback, making each shot feel precise and impactful.

Amid high-octane multiplayer action, the Brinehunters must utilize the vast weapon modifications and ancient artifacts to adjust their playstyle to stay alive and return to the surface. Explorers can enter the abyss solo or venture in with up to 3 friends in co-op. The rewarding progression loop will satisfy veterans of the genre while remaining accessible to newcomers, both of whom will find themselves sinking countless hours into obtaining every mod, artifact, and ability hidden throughout the fascinating and dangerous civilization.

Watch the System Shock® 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster release date trailer:

The original System Shock 2 revolutionized storytelling, atmosphere, and gameplay in the medium, inspiring a generation of titles to follow. It completely reshaped the way gaming audiences viewed the potential for storytelling in first-person games and went on to win over a dozen awards and “Game of The Year” recognitions.

Set 42 years after the events of the first System Shock, antagonist SHODAN and her army of merciless mutants infest the starship Von Braun. Players embody a soldier who awakes from cryo-sleep with cybernetic implants grafted to his flesh. Romestead Official Announcement Trailer

Today, Three Friends, the indie publisher formed of industry veterans, has announced their first signed title Romestead, developed by Swedish studio Beartwigs. Revealed today at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2025, this survival town-builder invites players to build and expand their home, alone or with friends, as they seek to rebuild Rome and conquer the legendary foes that inhabit these ancient lands.

The pixel art world of Romestead offers eager adventurers a canvas upon which they can turn a meagre village into a thriving town; constructing buildings for leatherworkers, altars to gods, insulae for citizens, and more, all connected by straight roads of course. Through exploration, players will discover new materials, giving rise to the advanced technologies essential to a flourishing realm.

Key gameplay features of Romestead include:

  • Extensive Town Building that enables players to live out their dreams of being a great Roman leader; rebuild civilisation from ruin, and set your citizens to work; farming crops, smithing weapons, collecting resources, and much more.
  • Worship System thanks to which worthy rulers can dedicate their gratitudes to the many gods of the Roman pantheon, acquiring unique and special technologies, buildings, and upgrades. These are unlocked through Worship, a currency gained by completing quests, pledging resources, and sacrificing the very citizens that have helped the settlement grow.
  • Dungeon Crawling & Boss Fights that will challenge even the most mighty of warriors. Players must arm themselves, smith tools, build fortifications, and prepare siege weaponry, especially crucial for those seeking to take on the most fearsome threats.
  • A Vast World with mystery waiting to be uncovered throughout. Explore six unique biomes, including the plains, forests, swamp, desert, volcanic, and a massive ruined city. Each environment adds its own twist, requiring players to improvise and adapt to new threats and discoveries.
  • Co-op Multiplayer Experience that rewards cooperation and coordination, cuts down the tedium and crystalises the fun. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and it certainly wasn’t built alone.

“Romestead hits that sweet spot,” says Albert Säfström, Co-Founder and Producer at Three Friends. “It combines the perspective and aesthetics of A Link to the Past with the progression of Terraria, and it just hits me right in the heart. Also, can we call it a ‘romelike’? I think we should.”

“The idea for Romestead largely comes from our love for the town-building and survival genre,” says Sam Bloom, Co-Founder and Developer at Beartwigs. “We wanted to create a game that would meld these genres and add a historical and mythological twist. We spent a good bit of time deciding on a setting, but landed on Ancient Rome, being one of the most historic civilisations to date.”

Romestead is currently in development for PC with a release date yet to be announced. Players can wishlist the game now on Steam, to be notified when the game enters its Early Access release.
