Dance Central 3 Release Date And Tracks Announced

Cambridge, MA – July 23rd – Get your living rooms ready for the hottest dance party of 2012!  Harmonix is excited to announce that the latest installment in its best-selling dance franchise on Kinect for Xbox 360, Dance Central 3, will be available in stores on October 16th in U.S., Canada and Latin America, and October 19th in Europe, Asia, Australia and Japan!

With more than 40 tracks on the disc, Dance Central 3 includes previously announced music by Usher, 50 Cent, Cobra Starship, and more. Today, Harmonix is announcing 11 additional tracks for the soundtrack, each with authentic dance routines created by professional choreographers, including:

Dance Central 3 will feature a fun and exciting story mode that has players traveling back through time to learn classic dance moves from past decades alongside their favorite crews and characters from the series. Today, Harmonix revealed that Flash4ward, a fan-favorite crew made up of Taye and Lil’ T, will make their return in Dance Central 3, repping the fly look of the 1990s in a killer house party venue! Stay tuned for reveals of both new and familiar faces in some surprising venues in the coming months.

War Of The Roses Tournament Airing On TwitchTV

NEW YORK – As part of its Six Games and Rock ‘n’ Roll tour, Paradox Interactive today announced that it will host a tournament of champions for upcoming medieval multiplayer game War of the Roses.  Pitting game industry veterans against each other in the first ever US tournament for the ambitious and gritty third-person action title, the live stream event will take place on July 27 from 4pm-8pm PST and can be viewed at www.twitchtv.com/paradoxinteractive

Billed as one of the most brutal tournaments to take place this year, the entire competition will be broadcast online via TwitchTV and will play host to a variety of specially invited guests that will get the chance to play against (read: stab) each other while the whole world is watching.  Totaling 20 competitors in all, these exclusively invited individuals include broadcasters SeaNanners, TotalBiscuit, Angry Joe, and many more, as well as developers from Paradox Interactive and a team of miscreants from TwitchTV. Commentary will be provided by War of the Roses producer Gordon Van Dyke and gaming veteran Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez.

War of the Roses is a gritty third-person multiplayer action game that seeks to put large teams of players into the muddied mail boots of medieval soldiers, allowing them to unlock a wealth of persistent elements as a 1,500lb mounted knight, nimble archer, cunning footmen or anything in between.

NAMCO BANDAI Announces Ninostarter For Ni no Kuni

NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. is giving JRPG fans the opportunity to add additional bonus items to the recently announced Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard’s Edition through a program called Ninostarter. Ninostarter is an exclusive North American crowd sourcing initiative where NAMCO BANDAI Games America will harness the enthusiasm of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch fans to unlock additional items that will be included in the North American Wizard’s Edition when the game ships on January 22, 2013.

Ninostarter works by tracking the number of Wizard’s Edition preorders being placed exclusively on www.clubNamco.com; as the Wizard’s Edition preorder numbers rise, additional Wizard’s Edition items will be unlocked when pre-established levels of preorders are reached. Carrier Command: Gaea Updates Beta And Pre-Order Dates

Prague, Czech Republic – After a successful run of more than three months, Bohemia Interactive has announced it will discontinue the Play & Contribute Beta for Carrier Command: Gaea Mission.  The P&C beta will be replaced by a pre-order deal on Monday, July 30th which means people still have one and a half week left to seize the heavily discounted Play & Contribute offer (which includes beta-access and a digital copy of the final game) on Bohemia Interactive’s Store.bistudio.com.

Foster The People Coming To Rock Band

Cambridge, Mass. – Harmonix has announced that tracks from Foster the People and The Strokes are headed to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and Wii.

Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 1,400 artists and more than 3,500* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs).  Tracks downloaded from the Rock Band Music Store are compatible with the award-winning full-band Rock Band 3 experience, as well as the upcoming controller-based Rock Band Blitz, coming summer of 2012 for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network!

Foster the People makes their debut in Rock Band this month with two singles: “Helena Beat,” the opening track from the group’s debut album, Torches, and “Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls),” also from the group’s first studio effort. Foster the People’s popular single, “Pumped Up Kicks,” will be available in the upcoming Rock Band Blitz, coming this summer for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStationNetwork!
