Cambridge, Mass. – Harmonix has announced that tracks from Foster the People and The Strokes are headed to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and Wii.

Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 1,400 artists and more than 3,500* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs).  Tracks downloaded from the Rock Band Music Store are compatible with the award-winning full-band Rock Band 3 experience, as well as the upcoming controller-based Rock Band Blitz, coming summer of 2012 for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network!

Foster the People makes their debut in Rock Band this month with two singles: “Helena Beat,” the opening track from the group’s debut album, Torches, and “Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls),” also from the group’s first studio effort. Foster the People’s popular single, “Pumped Up Kicks,” will be available in the upcoming Rock Band Blitz, coming this summer for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStationNetwork!

Additionally, The Strokes’ “Under Cover of Darkness,” from the group’s fourth studio album, Angles, will also be available. An optional Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrade will be available for the track, which was named one of the “150 Best Tracks of the Past 15 Years” by British music magazine NME.
