The Batman Experience Announced for San Diego Comic Con

BURBANK, Calif. – (July 2, 2019) – In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Batman, DC and AT&T* today announced THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE POWERED BY AT&T, a massive, interactive exhibition that includes the largest-ever collection of Batman-related props, costumes and vehicles. The immersive pop-up museum and gaming-centric installation will transport fans into the crime-fighting world of the Dark Knight and will be open to the public at the Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park at 10 a.m. PT from Thursday, July 18th through Sunday, July 21st. No SDCC badge is required to enter this free exhibition.

THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE, custom-built by AT&T with DC, will include activities on all three levels of the Museum’s staggering 68,000 square feet space. A sneak peak of the exhibition will be available to attendees at THE GATHERING, a special ceremony inducting Batman into the Comic-Con Museum Character Hall of Fame on Wednesday, July 17 at 5 p.m., the first time a comic book character has ever been given that honor. Other featured elements of THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE POWERED BY AT&T include:

  •  The Dark Knight Dive is the centerpiece attraction of THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE and a one-of-a-kind VR skydiving experience into the Gotham City. By combining a skydive booth with the magic of VR goggles and a helmet in the shape of a Batman cowl, gamers and Batman fans will enjoy a 4D interactive experience. Visitors will virtually fly through Gotham City in pursuit of the Scarecrow, who in attempting to take over the city, unleashes his Fear gas and creates a harrowing journey for fans through Batman’s 80 years of friends and foes.
  •  The Batcave gaming lounge will feature all generations of Batman video and arcade games straight from the DC archives – examples include Warner Bros. titles such as Batman The Brave And The Bold (Wii or 3DS), LEGO Batman 3 (PS4), Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4) and Injustice 2 (PS4) – and are all available to play as part of THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE.
  •  Hundreds of rare pieces of iconic DC comic book art and large-scale film and television props, including several from Tim Burton’s groundbreaking “Batman” film such as the Batmobile and Batsuit worn by Michael Keaton. The original Batman feature film is celebrating its own 30th anniversary this year. Joining these classic pieces will be a new car created by “Wayne Technology” that will give fans a taste of their future entertainment experiences in autonomous cars with 5G.
  •  WHAAM! KABOOM! POW! The Rogue Gallery Rumble is an interactive punching bag experience that uses projection mapping and lights to trigger classic and iconic animations and sounds throughout the space.
  •  A special 6-foot Batman Black & White Statue designed by acclaimed artist and writer Todd McFarlane will be unveiled on July 17, marking the 100th statue in the line. The one-of-a-kind life-size version of the 100th statue will be displayed throughout SDCC along with the other 99 Batman Black & White figures from DC Collectibles.

Additionally, EVIL will be offering festival-goers complimentary rides during the day throughout the Gaslamp District, while hosting “Frightseeing Tours” in the evenings in Old Town. BLADE RUNNER 2049 Soundtrack

Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch, alongside Producers Michael Hodges, Ashley Culp and Kayla Morrison, were given the near impossible task of scoring the sequel to one of the greatest and most beloved science fiction films of all time. The original Blade Runner had an incredible score by Vangelis that has gone on to be one of the most iconic pieces of music in film history, so it’s to their credit that they absolutely knock it out the park with 2049.

What they do with the music in 2049 is astonishing, you totally feel like you are in the same universe as the original film but you also realize that things have changed. There are hints at the past but also strange beautiful new sounds to explore and get lost in. This score is a little more downbeat than the original. It’s expansive, dreamy yet forceful and propulsive when it needs to be. The sonics throughout are incredible and it really feels like you are wandering strange neon lit alleyways with no clue where you are. It’s a truly beautiful (and beguiling) listen and captures real human emotion alongside more artificial replicant soundscapes.

Activision Blizzard Esports Reveal New Call of Duty eSport Teams

July 1, 2019 – Following the successful sale of the first five city-based franchises in the league, Activision Blizzard Esports has today revealed additional partners for the future vision of Call of Duty esports. The addition today of Minnesota and Los Angeles brings the league’s currently announced number of teams to seven; Activision Blizzard has previously unveiled teams representing Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Paris, and Toronto.

Six Flags Great Adventure July Events Including Fright Fest Auditions

July 1, 2019 – Six Flags Great Adventure will celebrate Independence Day, the ultimate American tradition, July 3 through 6. Coca-Cola July 4th Fest at Six Flags offers four days of patriotic fun and thrills including special ride times, parties, music, food, fireworks and much more. Guests can visit the July 4th Fest Zone for interactive games, activities, themed food, drinks and more. Six Flags will end each night with a bang as Coca-Cola presents a fireworks show along the Great Lake starting at 10 p.m. Guests can save up to $25 when they purchase tickets online, courtesy of Coca-Cola.

  • World Record Attempt – Biggest July 4 Toast in the USA — July 3

Six Flags theme parks across the country and Coca-Cola will attempt to create the biggest July 4th toast in the USA on Wednesday, July 3. Up to 2,500 Guests will receive mini cans of Coca-Cola near the Lakefront beginning at 9:30 p.m. Toast will take place at 9:45 p.m.

Guests can feel refreshed in the Coca-Cola July 4th Fest Cool Zone and enjoy daily foam parties in front of the Big Wheel. Foam parties will take place at 2:30, 4:30, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.

  • Early Ride Times

Guests can bring a can of Coca-Cola along with an active Membership, Season Pass, or daily admission to gain access to extra ride time from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. each day before the park opens to the public. Platinum, Diamond and Diamond Elite members can receive a free patriotic cup when they redeem their Coke can for admission to the extra ride time, while supplies last. CNCO Live in Concert – July 7

The Latin American boy band CNCO will perform in concert July 7, presented by Coca-Cola. The show will take place in the Northern Star Arena at 8 p.m. Guests with an active Membership, Season Pass, or theme park admission will receive free admission. CNCO formed on the first season of La Banda, officially coming into the music scene in late 2015 with youthful energy and a determination to make great music. In just over three years, they have had 10 singles on the Billboard Latin Pop Songs chart.

Fright Fest Dance Auditions – July 12 & 13

Six Flag Great Adventure’s 20th anniversary celebration of “Dead Man’s Party” and its “Unleashed” cirque-style stage spectacular are looking for exceptional dancers. Open casting calls will run two days — July 12 at 7 p.m. and July 13 at 9 a.m. Both shows seek professional-level, theatrical dancers who are experienced in jazz, hip hop, ballroom and freestyle. Dancers should bring a variety of dance shoes, learn choreography and freestyle. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and should enter through the employee entrance on Route 537 (609 Monmouth Road, Jackson, NJ). Closed auditions – no spectators will be permitted. New employees must complete the pre-employment application before attending the casting call at www.sixflagsjobs.com.

South Asian SummerFest – July 13

Tollywood comes to Six Flags Great Adventure July 13 for the South Asian SummerFest. This popular music event brings Telugu artists from television and movies to the stage in the Northern Star Arena. The pre-show will start at 5:30 p.m. and will showcase DJ Raj, Capricio Band and Anirudh Suswaram. The main event begins at 7:15 p.m. and will include many talented performers. Anasuya Bharadwaj, the Indian television presenter and actress who works predominately in Telugu cinema and television, will perform. Guests can also expect Sunitha Uparashta on stage, the current reigning queen of melodies in her genre in India. Bhargavi Pillai, the popular playback singer in the Hindi film industry, will also join these artists.

Medieval Times Knight Demonstration – July 27

Sword fights and medieval fun will take over Main Street at Six Flags Great Adventure July 27. Knights, the Queen and the Lord Marshall will be on site from Medieval Times for photo opportunities, Q&A sessions, giveaways and a duel. Guests can stop by Main Street anytime from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to check out the medieval fun. The Knights’ duel will take place at 1:15 and 3:15 p.m.

Fright Fest Zombie Auditions – July 27 

Individuals with a love for Halloween are encouraged to visit Six Flags Great Adventure July 27 at 1 p.m. for Fright Fest zombie auditions. Group auditions are perfect for those with no previous experience in scaring, and include fun exercise before a panel of judges. Applicants are encouraged to showcase their quirky, strange, funny and creepy qualities. All participants must be at least 16 years old. Auditions take place in the Employment Center and applicants will enter through the employee entrance at 609 Monmouth Road, Jackson NJ. New employees must apply before attending an audition at www.sixflagsjobs.com. Fright Fest runs September 13 through October 31 on weekends and select days.

3 From Hell Release Date and Poster

DENVER – July 1, 2019 – Global content leader Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B) and Saban Films are unleashing horror icon and heavy metal mastermind Rob Zombie’s 3 From Hell, the follow-up to House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects, as the next chapter in the blood-soaked crime saga. The film will be released in nearly 900 select movie theaters on September 16, 17 and 18, 2019 through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network (DBN). Fathom Events will broadcast the unrated version to theaters with each night featuring unique bonus content.

On September 16th, moviegoers will see a special video introduction from Rob Zombie with the first 50 attendees at each theater receiving an exclusive poster (while supplies last). On the 17th, audiences will be treated to a nearly 30-minute behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film. On the 18th, moviegoers will experience the ultimate double feature including 3 From Hell and The Devil’s Rejects.
