The Cromwell Adults-Only Casino Re-Opens in Las Vegas

In accordance with directives from Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Caesars Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: CZR) (“Caesars” or “the Company”) has resumed hospitality and gaming operations at The Cromwell today, Oct. 29, as the final property to reopen on the Las Vegas Strip. The boutique hotel and gaming floor is now open seven days a week for guests 21 and over. Guests of all ages are welcome at GIADA, the award-winning restaurant of notable chef Giada De Laurentiis.

This follows the successful reopening of all Caesars Entertainment operations on the Las Vegas Strip, including Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas, Bally’s Las Vegas, The LINQ Hotel + Experience and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. As previously announced, the Company has also reopened The LINQ Promenade, High Roller Observation Wheel, FLY LINQ and Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck.

“In addition to The Cromwell being the only standalone boutique hotel, it is now the first adults-only hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip,” said Senior Vice President and The Cromwell General Manager Ken Janssen. “We are thrilled to welcome our dedicated Associates back, and our guests can once again enjoy The Cromwell’s personalized service and unique amenities like the new Drai’s Lounge and GIADA, with enhanced health and safety protocols.”

While closed to guests, The Cromwell was home to the U.S. version of the international reality sensation, “LOVE ISLAND,” which filmed its second season at Drai’s Nightclub sequestered in a “bubble” for five weeks over the summer. After finding love and receiving the top prize on the show, it was only fitting that season two winners, Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew, returned to Las Vegas to help reopen the boutique hotel and casino. The fan-favorite couple joined Caesars Entertainment Regional President Gary Selesner, and Senior Vice President and The Cromwell General Manager Ken Janssen, in a countdown to officially reopen the doors, which culminated in a spectacle of confetti cannons and cheers. Once inside, the “LOVE ISLAND” stars ceremoniously rolled the first dice at The Cromwell’s craps table.

The resumption of business at The Cromwell follows the reopening of Caesars regional casinos and hotels across the country, in addition to the Las Vegas properties mentioned above. Caesars will open its remaining Las Vegas properties in line with customer demand, regulatory requirements and any additional health and safety considerations.

The Cromwell has implemented Caesars’ new health and safety protocols, which enhance its existing plans and practices in these areas. All Caesars properties are focused on the well-being of team members, guests and the community, and continue to work to create an environment with high standards of sanitization and physical distancing practices. Ripstone Games today revealed the first gameplay video features for its new IP Poker Club. ‘Welcome to Poker Club’ is a developer walkthrough video feature that reveals everything players need to know about Ripstone’s vision for the ultimate poker experience on PC and consoles. Launching on November 19th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Poker Club will offer players the most immersive and social poker simulation ever seen on next and current-generation platforms. In the second season, The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. “The Mandalorian” stars Pedro Pascal, with guest stars Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Directors for the new season include Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed and Robert Rodriguez. HUNT Unveils Halloween Event

Hunt’s very first Halloween Event starts today on PC. From now until November 4th, you’ll have the chance to unlock exclusive equipment, and a few other naughty treats. To get the gear, you’ll need to collect special Event Points, which you can do by heading down the bayou and:

  • Destroying pumpkins scattered through the world
  • Destroying the Butcher’s pumpkin head
  • Investigating a Halloween-themed Clue or Rift
  • Destroying pumpkins mounted on scarecrows

There’s a trick to boosting the points you earn with the Halloween-exclusive consumable – the Wormseed Shot. You’ll receive three of these to get you started – just for logging in during the event. You can equip up to four of them onto your Hunter in Bounty Hunt, and using one will increase the amount of Event Points earned in that match by 25%. And if you need more, you can buy them in the store using Blood Bonds. Using more than one will multiply the effect, and the effect will also apply to any Hunters on your team – so get your friends together and really rake in the points! In Quick Play, you cannot equip any Wormseed shots before a mission, but will find them as you go in the world.

It takes 1000 Event Points to unlock all the Halloween goodies. Up to 500 points you earn over that will be considered a Bonus and converted into Blood Bonds at the end of the event. Your additional Wormseed Shots will also be converted in Blood Bonds.

Each day, there’s a cap on the amount of Event Points which you can earn. On the first day, you will cap out at 200 points. Once you hit the cap for that day, you can still play the event, but you won’t rack up any more Event Points. On the second day, your point total caps out at 600. (If you capped out on day one with 200 points, then this means on day two, you can earn an additional 400 points.) On the third day of the event your points cap out at 1000. Every day after that (and until the end of the event), your Event Points will cap out at 1500. So lock yourself in for a full weekend of mischief and mayhem!

Virgin Galactic Hires Two New Pilots

Virgin Galactic today announced the appointment of two new pilots into its Pilot Corps, bringing the total number of pilots to eight.

Jameel Janjua and Patrick Moran will be based at Spaceport America, New Mexico, and join the Virgin Galactic team as preparations for commercial service continue.

Both will embark on an extensive training program before flying SpaceShipTwo. In addition to the Spaceship, the pilots will also train to fly the carrier aircraft, VMS Eve. VMS Eve provides a way for the pilots to fly simulated parts of the SpaceShipTwo flight trajectory, gaining valuable hands-on training. Other assignments for the pilots will include flying other company support aircraft, working mission control, flight planning, and support various detailed engineering and project roles across the company.

While Jameel and Patrick will initially operate in a test pilot capacity, they, along with the rest of the Pilot Corps, will ultimately become the world’s first commercial Spaceship Pilots, flying Future Astronauts on their life-changing journey into space and back.

Our Virgin Galactic Pilots serve an essential role in the flight experience of our Future Astronauts. The pilots will join the Future Astronauts at various points in their training program, helping emphasize and provide details about various key elements of their upcoming spaceflight. All pilots are ambassadors of the Virgin Galactic brand and will work to provide Future Astronauts with an out of this world adventure.

Both Jameel and Patrick bring a wealth of aircraft flight and flight test experience; they were picked from a small group of specialized pilots who meet the strict criteria needed to be considered for the role of a Virgin Galactic Pilot.

Each of them has flown in both military and commercial roles, involving training, operations and test, as well as flying passengers and managing crew. Jameel has completed over 4,000 flying hours in more than 45 different vehicles throughout his career, which spans over twenty years in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He completed exchange tours for the Royal Air Force and the U.S Air Force and is on the Board of Directors for the Society of Experimental Test Pilots {SETP}. Patrick served as a Pilot in the Marine Corps for twenty years, including roles as a test pilot, test pilot school instructor, and the lead government test pilot for Navy and Marine Corps versions of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. He then entered business aviation as a broker, consultant, and charter pilot, and joins Virgin Galactic with over 3,000 flight hours in 34 different aircraft.

Dave Mackay, Virgin Galactic’s Chief Pilot said, “I am delighted to welcome Jameel Janjua and Pat Moran to the Virgin Galactic Pilot Corps. Jameel and Pat both come with a tremendous range and depth of experience of both military and civilian aviation, and test flying in particular. Their backgrounds, in addition to their accomplished interpersonal skills, will make them hugely valuable – particularly as we prepare for, and soon enter, commercial passenger operations.
