Raging Waters LA Launching New Bombs Away in 2022

The countdown to Opening Day at Raging Waters LA has less time to go than ever before as Raging Waters readies for its biggest season ever in 2022, featuring the NEW Bombs Away water slides and more great fun.

After a successful bounce-back summer in 2021, Raging Waters LA is counting the minutes until May 21, 2022, one of the earliest Opening Days in park history. In addition to extra days, guests will be able to step up to the park’s new dual-drop thriller, Bombs Away. Sliders will step into enclosed capsules when, without notice, the floor beneath their feet abruptly vanishes and drops them down into two unique experiences – a straight-speed six-story, 70 degree AquaDrop where sliders will reach speeds of up to 30 feet per second, or a twisting, turning loop through a closed-tube 325-foot-long fly-by at similarly supersonic speeds.

“We know our guests have been waiting to blast off in Bombs Away since it was first announced in 2019,” says General Manager Roland Reyes. The slides’ debut was delayed by the covid-19 pandemic. “These drops are over the top, and we are so excited for sliders to step in and see the Bombs Away experience was worth the wait.”

Thrilling rides fresh and familiar are just the start of the fun on tap for 2022. Raging Waters Los Angeles will add a new open-air retail location at the park’s main gate so guests can make sure to stock up on sunscreen, swim trunks and other essentials before soaking up all the extra fun the expanded season will offer. The Raging Waters team is also hard at work in the kitchen developing new food items to satisfy stomachs in between splashes on Bombs Away and other favorites like Aqua Rocket, Kid’s Kingdom and the million-gallon Wave Cove pool.

While the fun may be a few months away, now is the perfect time to make plans by purchasing a Season Pass during Raging Waters’ upcoming Black Friday sales. Starting a week early on Friday, November 19, holiday shoppers can skip the shipping and supply chain concerns with a Season Pass, with budget-friendly tiers from no-frills, all fun to a Platinum Pass that includes access to Castle Park, including their 2021 holiday event, Duke’s Very Merry Village, opening November 26!

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One Launch Trailer Released

Frogwares has announced the release times for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One along with a launch trailer. Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is a third-person, open-world, story-driven detective thriller. The story is a creative re-imagining of Sherlock’s first steps on his journey to becoming the famed, flawed and destructive genius the world has come to know. Set on the Mediterranean island of Cordona, this is where Sherlock spent his childhood. He now returns as a young adult to find the true answers to his mother’s mysterious death all those years ago that orphaned him and got him sent to London. The game is built around a system of “no hand holding” detective work, meaning players will need to use all the tools at their disposal to piece together the clues and solve the various mysteries that the island is hiding.

The game is set to go live globally on PC, PS5, and Xbox X / S on Tuesday, November 16th at 0:00 am BST.  This means that for players in regions such as North and South America, the game will be available on Monday, November 15th.

MACROSS PLUS MOVIE EDITION Coming to US Theaters in December

Upon its initial release in 1994, “MACROSS PLUS” became a cult sensation paving the way for some of anime’s greatest hits and the creators behind them. The ground-breaking, 4-episode Original Video Animation (OVA) struck a chord with audiences worldwide with its blazingly fast dogfighting in detail that had never been seen in anime before. On December 14, “MACROSS” finally comes to U.S. cinemas with, “MACROSS PLUS MOVIE EDITION,” which adds all-new animated scenes never seen in the OVA, streamlines the storyline, and creates a more focused and action-packed viewing experience. Private Division Acquires Roll7 in Undisclosed Deal

Private Division, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), today announced that they have acquired video game developer Roll7. Based in London, the BAFTA award-winning studio is currently developing OlliOlli World to be published by Private Division and planned for launch this winter during Take-Two’s fiscal fourth quarter ending March 31, 2022. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2008 by Simon Bennett, John Ribbins, and Tom Hegarty, Roll7 is a multi-award-winning studio that is best known for the OlliOlli series. The studio is currently working on the upcoming OlliOlli World and have additional unannounced projects in development. Private Division will support these future endeavors and empower Roll7 to continue creating their signature “flow state gaming” experiences that embody their distinctive style and ability to achieve commercial and critical success.

GALAHAD 3093 Gets An Extended Open Beta November 12

Simutronics today announced the third extended open beta for its upcoming mech hero shooter, GALAHAD 3093. Starting Friday, November 12 at 6 p.m. Eastern and concluding Monday, November 22 at 9 a.m. Eastern, players can choose a Knight and pilot a customizable Lance for 10 days of explosive battles for territory. The free beta is accessible to PC players via the “Request Access” button on the game’s Steam page.

New and returning pilots can experience the following fresh features and improvements:

  • Squad Up With Friends: Squad up with up to three Steam friends, stay on the same team between matches, and strategize in private voice channels.
  • Train for the Battlefield: Jump into the new tutorial experience for a step-by-step gameplay guide.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human Soundtrack Now Available for Pre-Order

Techland, in collaboration with composer Olivier Derivière and Black Screen Records, has prepared a unique vinyl edition of the Dying Light 2 Stay Human soundtrack for audiophiles and fans of unusual and intriguing game music. Pre-orders for the vinyl album and standard CD have begun and the premiere of the vinyl release is planned for February 11, 2022.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s OST will be released on two vinyl records that reflect the features of the game, story, and world. Each will contain a unique soundtrack allowing music fans to immerse themselves in the sounds of a dark, post-apocalyptic world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

“I am delighted to have this 2 vinyls edition of my Dying Light 2 Stay Human soundtrack. On the first disc, you will follow the story of the main character and his personal journey through The city of Villedor. Like in the game, you will discover the different factions and the difficult choices he will have to take. The second disc is more about the world, its environments and dangers but through adversity, there is always time for comfort and joy. It will be a great journey for any listener and, I hope, a real treat for the players” says Olivier Derivière, soundtrack composer.
