Path of Exile: Siege of the Atlas Announcement Trailer

Grinding Gears Games today revealed a new trailer for the latest Path of Exile expansion, titled Siege of the Atlas, which will launch February 4 for PC and Mac, and February 9 for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.

Siege of the Atlas will be the largest expansion for Path of Exile in the past year, featuring the Archnemesis challenge league, a revamp to the entire endgame including new story quests, new unique and currency items, four more pinnacle bosses, and game balance improvements.

Siege of the Atlas Content and Features:

  • Updated Atlas: The end-game Atlas of Worlds has been simultaneously simplified and also made deeper. The region system has been removed, and individual Atlas Passive Trees have been replaced by one gigantic Atlas-wide passive tree which creates a more flexible way for players to engage in the content they like best while also increasing its challenge and reward.

  • Four Pinnacle Bosses: The new storyline is capped with four new Pinnacle Bosses, ultimate boss fights for players seeking additional challenges. These bosses can potentially drop a selection of extremely valuable new unique items.

  • Endgame Item Crafting: Players can master the Eldritch Implicit Modifier system to improve their best items. New currency items allow them to craft powerful new implicit modifiers onto items that enable new build opportunities.

  • Archnemesis League: Players can collect modifiers to use on Petrified Monsters that are encountered throughout Wraeclast in order to create their own mini-boss fights. Each modifier provides a reward and a monster behavior and will stack in subsequent fights to create progressively more dangerous and rewarding encounters. These modifiers can be combined to create recipes for even more challenge and reward.

  • Game Balance Improvements: Spellcasters and Archers have been targeted with a massive selection of balance buffs, so that they are even more competitive with Path of Exile’s best builds.

World of Tanks Blitz to Get ‘Big Boss’ RPG-Like Mode

It’s time to try a new way to play in World of Tanks Blitz! Famous for special modes and legendary events enjoyed by tankers all around the world, the game invites players to join the ranks for the latest action-packed mode with a twist: Big Boss. With two chances to play, tankers can get involved from February 3rd through February 6th, and February 10th through February 13th. Engage in all-out 7v7 PvP battles where team members are randomly assigned special roles with unique abilities—and one tank in each team becomes the Boss!

See for yourself: compared to its base stats, the Boss tank receives a 30% increase to damage and speed, 50% faster reloads, and quadruple HP. To top that off, Bosses can push and damage the enemies with their Blast Wave active ability and deal damage to a line of tanks with their Megashot passive ability. To give their opponents a fighting chance, Bosses only respawn twice per battle.

However, the rest of the team receives unlimited respawns during which they switch between the RPG-like roles of Regenerator, Catalyst, Bomber, and Graviton at random.

  • Graviton immobilizes and traps enemies with the Gravitrap, while staying at a distance.
  • Bomber enjoys close combat and explodes in a Big Bang to deal mass damage to the enemy vehicles nearby.
  • Catalyst is a strong damage dealer with Poison Shots;
  • Regenerator protects and heals the Boss and other allies using multiple abilities: Healing Shots, Energy Shield, and Restoration Zone.

Featuring unique active and passive abilities, these roles each have up to 5 upgradeable levels to unlock Unlike their teammates, Bosses stick to their role until the end of the game.

Every Boss frag is worth 5 points, and any other tank wasted is 1 point; pitted against each other in a test of aggression, strategy, and speed, each team races to score 30 points to win.

The Big Boss mode can be played in any Tier V to X vehicle. If you don’t have one of these yet, Big Boss has a quest for you. Complete it between January 27 and February 13, and you will be ready to feel the power and to become a heroic giant slayer in the T67 (a Tier V U.S. TD) that will be added to your account permanently.

Team17 has today announced that it will be working with Polish game dev creative house, Covenant.dev, to bring Gord, a single-player dark fantasy strategy game, to PC. In the world of Gord, players will lead the Tribe of the Dawn as they strive to establish new settlements and explore eerie forbidden lands while interacting with horrific creatures and deities inspired by Slavic folklore. Players will have to complete quests to grow the tribe’s settlements (known as ‘gords’) and fortify these from invaders while managing a populace whose personal stories, familial ties, and well-being, can have devastating impact on the survival of their communities. Covenant.dev is a 24-person creative development house including alumni from prominent Polish developers CD Projekt RED (The Witcher 3), 11 bit studios (Frostpunk), and Flying Wild Hog (Shadow Warrior 2). Legendary casino brand Horseshoe is returning to Las Vegas as Bally’s begins a transformation into the brand known for gaming, poker and making it right for the gambler.

The transformation will begin in the spring of 2022 and will include a renovated exterior, new entertainment and food and beverage options, and a reimagined casino floor and public areas. In keeping with Horseshoe’s classic sophistication, the design team will incorporate a handcrafted feeling with tooled leather, dramatic colors, and the brand’s signature gold horseshoe iconography. The Life is Strange Remastered Collection is available on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4®, Xbox One, GeForce Now, PC Steam on February 1, 2022. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will also be compatible with the next-gen PlayStation 5, and XBOX SERIES X|S. The Nintendo Switch version will be available at a later date.

Purchasers of the Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate Edition will also receive the Life is Strange Remastered Collection.
