Universal UNIVRS Opens at Universal CityWalk Hollywood

Universal UNIVRS – a new, first-of-its-kind retail destination is now open at Universal CityWalk Hollywood. This brick-and-mortar store brings favorite brands from across NBCUniversal to life in a unique shopping destination that leans into the “get it before it’s gone” drop culture shopping mentality. Open in time for Halloween Horror Nights and seasonal holiday celebrations at Universal Studios Hollywood, UNIVRS is open 7 days a week.

Tapping into entertainment and fashion tastemakers through their style-driven offerings, merchandise at UNIVRS marries popular brand designs with current fashion silhouettes and trending styles, driven by favorite characters and iconic on-screen moments – such as Illumination’s Minions, Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic Park and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and classic characters like Felix the Cat, Universal Monsters and more. Exclusive merchandise will be released in limited quantities; from tees and hoodies, to track suits and hats, to tote bags and skate decks, products will range in price from $30-$100 and in size from XS-2XL, across the mens, womens and unisex categories.

Developed by Universal Products & Experiences – a new division of Universal Parks and Resorts – the store aims to “drop” new styles in limited quantities every few months, with products available only at the UNIVRS store, which is located in the Universal Studio Store adjacent to the theme park’s main entrance.

“Universal UNIVRS celebrates casual and super fans who are looking for elevated, character-inspired merchandise that’s influenced by popular fashion trends seen around the world,” said Vince Klaseus, president of Universal Products & Experiences. “With new, limited-edition collections released every few months – and only available at Universal CityWalk – shoppers will continue to be surprised by new styles and the store’s fresh take on apparel, accessories and collectibles.”

With a focus on culture and creatives, UNIVRS also serves as a way to highlight international and local artists through exclusive merchandise. Artists from the UK and Korea – Marylou Faure and SAMBYPEN, respectively – worked with Universal on designs inspired by Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru that have been applied to various streetwear styles, such as bucket and corduroy hats, crop tank tops, matching sweatshirt and pant sets, track suits, tees and more. Additionally, Los Angeles-based artist, Jason Keam created a selfie wall mural in the UNIVRS store to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial; this mural art will also inspire designs for exclusive apparel and totes – coming soon!

Vlad Circus: Descend into Madness, the 2D pixel-art horror adventure from developer Indiesruption and publisher Blowfish Studios, unleashes its troubled past and haunting mysteries on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC via Steam, and GOG in Q1 2023.

In the year 1921, the famous Vlad Circus experienced an atrocious fire, causing hundreds of deaths and even more injuries when the owner’s brother intentionally started a fire in the middle of the show. After eight long years, the original ringleader has invited the original cast of carnies to form the act once again. Knott’s Scary Farm Updates Chaperone Policy

For 49 seasons, Knott’s Scary Farm has been providing haunting experiences and unimaginable scares to millions of guests. To make the event even more accessible to Scary Farm fans who are 17 years old or younger, Knott’s Scary Farm will implement the following change to our chaperone policy, effective September 29, 2022 – one guest, 21 and older, may now chaperone up to 5 guests under the age of 18.

In addition to this chaperone policy change, also effective September 29, 2022, any chaperone who accompanies 5 minors, all with valid paid admission for that evening’s event, will be given one complimentary admission to use for that night only. Limit one complimentary chaperone ticket per 5 minors.

To qualify for complimentary admission, each chaperone must accompany a total of 5 guests under the age of 18. The chaperone must present a valid photo ID with date of birth, and all minors must have a valid admission ticket for that evening’s event. The chaperone’s complimentary ticket will be issued at the Main Entrance turnstiles.

The complimentary admission ticket is offered only for those chaperones accompanying a total of five minors with paid admission. Chaperones of parties less than five minors do not qualify for complimentary admission and would need a paid ticket for admission.

All Guests under the age of 18 are required to have a chaperone 21 years of age or older with proper ID. Chaperones must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during the length of their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay. Guests ages 17 years old or younger who are found inside the park and unable to contact their chaperone by phone will be subject to ejection.

Skull and Bones Pushed to March of 2023 and Announces Open Beta

Today, Ubisoft announced that Skull and Bones will now release on March 9, 2023 on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation®5, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and Windows PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna* to access the game on day one.

An Open Beta will be held ahead of the game’s worldwide launch to ensure players get a firsthand look at the dangerous world of Skull and Bones. Players will have the opportunity to discover the game’s unique take on the piracy fantasy, its gritty naval combat as well as the immersive and beautiful seas of the 17th century Indian Ocean.

While the game development is finished at this stage, the extra time will be used to further polish and balance the experience using players’ feedback from our Technical tests and Insider Program which happened over the past two weeks. This is the right decision both for our players and for the long-term success of the game as March 9, 2023 provides for a suitable release window for this very unique new brand.

Many Ways to Slay: To become a star, prove your strength against others in Ranked Matches online, or let loose to test your skills in Exhibition Mode. Players can also group up with friends in Room Matches.
A Weapon for Every Strategy: Players can choose between the Machete, Hammer, Arms, Buzzsaw, and–Uncle Death’s favorite–the Katana. Compete in matches to increase your weapon’s level and stats, and collect materials to craft more powerful weapon variations. If you can’t wait to add to your weapon collection, look out for Twin Knives coming out in Season 1 later this year.
Breathtaking Scenery: Matches take place on a variety of stages, called Units, each with distinct zones. As the clock runs down, contamination increases, and the area you fight in grows smaller. Staying in a contaminated zone spells your doom. If you are crafty, you can catch a foe by surprise from the high ground, hide in tall bushes, or stalk your prey from the shadows. Those who take advantage of the terrain are more likely to survive.
Killer Cryptids and Hunters: Bloodcurdling Cryptids roam the battlefield, and when the cutthroat Hunters enter the area, there are only two options: run or die. During Season 1, players can look forward to three different Hunters who will join battles on rotation: Hunter Q, Hunter G, and Hunter M. Each has unique abilities, so learn them quickly to stay alive.
Build a Better Killer: Pick up items like Mushrooms and Sub-skills to modify your abilities and boost your chances for survival. You can also find Materials used for crafting and upgrading weapons and skins. Items are dropped when you kill enemies or break boxes scattered across the field.
Make It Look Good: Killing in a flashy way, especially using a Final Judgment, will earn Good Points (GP) from the DEATH JAMBOREE audience. GP increases your Voltage (comparable to health in other games) and attack power, so you’ll want to be a fan favorite if you plan on surviving.
Dress to Kill: There’s nothing more embarrassing than wearing the same outfit as another killer – avoid that with dozens of customization items! Mix and match outfits, Wilson skins, shield skins, and more to create a look to die for. You can also decorate your waiting room to prepare for the battle in style.

If you can’t wait for more DEATHVERSE: LET IT DIE content, then you’re in luck. In November, the LET IT DIE Collection Vol. 1 will introduce a limited-time Metro Fighter skin and Uncle Death shield skin, which are based on the original LET IT DIE.

In Season 2, beginning Winter/Spring 2023, players can look forward to Cup Matches and a Masters tournament to decide the best killer contestant of the season, plus a new, unannounced weapon. Season 3 will be LET IT DIE themed and feature another weapon, a new Hunter, and the limited-time Duo Death Match event, letting players pair up against their foes. Both seasons will include new types of existing weapons.

Enjoy the spooktacular Halloween season at Knott’s Spooky Farm, a newly expanded family-friendly Halloween celebration. Families can join in on the ghoulish fun as the park transforms with themed décor and wicked fun around every corner. Knott’s Spooky Farm will be taking place Thursdays through Sundays this year, starting September 29 through October 31.

Kids can participate in a memorable trick-or-treating experience along Ghost Town’s Main Street, Schoolhouse Road and Gold Mine Trail. During trick-or-treating, kids will interact with an array of spooky but friendly shopkeepers as little ones have the opportunity to show off their festive Halloween costumes. Guests can also visit the Livery Stable to get close and personal with the Creepy Critters of Calico. Spiders, bugs and more await at our Creepy Critters Corral. Whimsical jack-o-lanterns surround Calico Park as it changes into an enchanting Pumpkin Patch location for families to enjoy the season’s atmosphere with photo ops. Guests can get in the spirit by decorating their very own themed cookie or pumpkin right in the heart of Ghost Town. Publisher Kalypso Media is thrilled to announce the acquisition of the global publishing rights for the brand-new dark fantasy game, The Inquisitor, developed by Polish studio The Dust S.A. Previously announced by The Dust S.A. as ‘I, The Inquisitor,’ Kalypso Media will be publishing under the revised title ‘The Inquisitor.’ The story-driven title takes place in an alternate religious and historical timeline rife with grisly violence, cryptic mystery, and heinous sin. Persuasive interrogations: The 1500’s remain a cruel era of justice. As an Inquisitor, you have free rein to use whatever methods and tools deemed necessary to persuade suspects to reveal ‘the truth’. These optional interrogations date back to the times of the real Inquisition and it’s up to you to decide if and how much force to apply to those under your investigation.
