Starship Troopers: Terran Command Gets Free Update

Slitherine released a content update for their real-time strategy hit Starship Troopers: Terran Command. The update is delivered free of charge to all players, and it’s designed to spotlight the newly introduced high-score system.

Released in June, Starship Troopers: Terran Command brought the RTS genre back to the gaming headlines. It attracted tens of thousands of players thanks to its fast-paced, action-driven mechanics and an accurate recreation of the movie’s atmosphere.

“An incredible amount of constructive feedback backed the tremendous success of Starship Troopers. Our first goal is to address a big part of that feedback by giving players content they want to play and reconnect them with the game as much as we can”, said Marco A. Minoli, CMO at Slitherine. “The development studio, The Artistocrats, are working hard to improve the game, create more content, and increase replayability, while keeping the community active and captivated”.

This free content update includes:

  • Three new scenarios, two of which make use of a new high-score system;
  • One new unit type: Chemical Troopers; this unit is currently only available in the new scenarios, but there are plans to include it in future content as well. It’s a squad of expert troopers using biochemical weapons, which they use to great effect for exterminating anything with more than two legs;
  • The Target Priority setting (TPS); units can be set to prioritize firing at specific enemy types instead of aiming for the nearest target. For instance, if you want to automatically target Spitter Bugs with your Snipers, TPS allows you to avoid that level of micromanagement.

SpongeBob SquarePants is one of the most widely distributed properties in Paramount International history, seen in more than 170 countries, translated in 29+ languages, and averaging more than 100 million total viewers every quarter. SpongeBob SquarePants was created by Stephen Hillenburg and produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank, Calif. SCUF Gaming Unveils New Universal Thumbstick Grips

SCUF Gaming, creator of the high-performance gaming controller category (NASDAQ:CRSR), today introduced its new line of Universal Thumbstick Grips. The new thumbsticks give any gamer the SCUF thumbstick experience of added performance and increased grip, regardless of the type of controller they use.

SCUF’s Universal Thumbstick Grips will take almost any existing controller to a higher level, giving gamers the feel of precision, accuracy, and movements of a SCUF thumbstick, on their existing controller. “The launch of our Universal Thumbstick Grips is a reflection of our commitment to giving all gamers the ability to experience the SCUF advantage,” said Diego Nunez, Vice President of Gaming Marketing at CORSAIR. “With this new offering, you can gain a functional advantage in movement and gameplay by simply upgrading your existing controller.”

SCUF Universal Thumbstick Grips are available in three different variants, Tactic, Catalyst, and Pulse, so gamers can tailor their experience based on personal preference and style of play.

Tactic replicates the shapes found on SCUF controller thumbsticks which have provided professional and competitive gamers around the world additional performance, comfort and grip for many years. Tactic comes in 2 styles (concave and domed) 3 colors (black, red, and blue) and 2 lengths (short and tall). Light Gray Universal Thumbstick Grips will also be available in early 2023.

Catalyst is inspired by previous controller designs to give customers a taste of the controllers of the past. It has a concave design that allows your fingers to rest comfortably in the indent of the thumbstick and extra grip on the sides of the indent, so fingers don’t slip from where you want them.

Pulse offers the SCUF take on a classic thumbstick style. It has a semi-domed design that means fingers rest within the indent of the thumbstick or on the edge where added grip keeps your fingers on the thumbstick.

The Universal Thumbstick grips range in price from $9.99 to $19.99 and are available immediately for purchase on SCUF’s website and on Amazon . For more information on SCUF Gaming and its new line of Universal Thumbstick Grips, please visit scufgaming.com.
