Diablo III Pushed to 2012

Blizzard Entertainment, after rolling out a successful beta of their upcoming Diablo III, has announced that the game is being pushed back to 2012. According to the statement, the game is being pushed back to use beta test experiences to enhance the gameplay of the final release.

“With every game we make, the temptation is always very strong to launch as soon as possible. However, we didn’t put so many years of work into Diablo III to release a game that was almost ready,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “The beta test is going very well, and we look forward to making the most of the extra time we’re taking to deliver an experience that lives up to our vision for the game and the expectations of our players. Next year is going to be an incredibly busy one for Blizzard, and we hope an incredibly fun one for Blizzard gamers.”

Ben There, Dan That! Special Edition Released

Size Five Games has announced the release of Ben There, Dan That! Special Edition. The game is a 2D, point-and-click adventure game in the style of the classic LucasArts titles. Having played it, I can say it is a fun gaming experience that, at a “Pay What You Want” price model, is a steal.

“We’ve George Lucased it right up” Dan Marshall proudly exclaimed. “I was never happy with the final version of Ben There, Dan That!, so it’s been an absolute pleasure to tinker with it and get it ship-shape.”

Marshall also stated,

Star Wars: The Old Republic Release Date

BioWare, LucasArts, and Electronic Arts have announced that the highly-anticipated MMORPG, , will launch on December 20, 2011 in North America for the Windows PC platform. European customers will get the game two days later, on December 22.

BioWare co-founder, Dr. Muzyka, said “This is an incredible moment for everyone at BioWare and our partners at LucasArts who have dedicated their lives to build this extraordinary game. We appreciate the patience from the millions of fans who have been waiting for the game’s release.”

Universal and Neverdie have announced the release of a multiplayer online games based on their upcoming horror movie, The THING, which is due out in theaters on October 14, 2011. The game, called “Hunt the THING”, uses Neverdie’s ROCKtropia digital hangout as a platform where players can go on missions, solve puzzles, and more. The game is free to play and available now, so get on it! Also, watch those around you… Watch ’em close.

This edition of the classic strategy game is available for Presale October 3, 2011, exclusively online at USAopoly.com, Metal Gear Solid Risk Limited Edition will price out at $49.95.
