Tank Shooter Tyr Opens Previously Closed Playtest Until August 2ndTank Shooter Tyr Opens Previously Closed Playtest Until August 2nd

Stoke Games is pleased to announce that the playtest for their multiplayer tank shooter, Tyr, is now open to all on Steam and will be run until August 2nd.

Tyr is a free-to-play multiplayer tank shooter that emphasizes strategy over twitch reflexes. Stoke Games has shaped and refined the game based on player feedback through more than three years of playtesting with a private, growing community. The team at Stoke and Tyr’s welcoming community are excited for new players to join the fray and experience a cerebral multiplayer shooter where positioning and strategic decision-making are key to victory.

Today, Stoke has released a new video giving you a beginner-friendly overview on the game’s key systems to prepare you to take to the battlefield. Learn how you can use angles to hit weak spots on enemy tanks and utilize your own tank’s unique armor profile to deflect shots, how you can spot enemies while avoiding being spotted yourself, and how each tank’s ability impacts the battlefield..

In Tyr, your choice of tank can help define the role you take on for your team: focus on the vital task of spotting enemies with a mobile light tank, snipe from distance with a deadly-but-vulnerable damage dealer, or rumble into close engagements and brawls with a heavy tank.

Upgrade and evolve each tank to suit your playstyle with individual tech trees, ammo slots, and component upgrades. Tyr’s progression system respects its players’ time and the game’s competitive integrity; there will be no fancy new tanks reserved only for those prepared to fork out huge wads of cash, no pay-to-win weapons, and no game-breaking consumables. Tyr is free-to-play done right.

Razer Unveils the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz Line

Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced the Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz line, a new Hall Effect (HE) magnetic gaming keyboard addition to its esports keyboard portfolio.

Available in Tenkeyless and Mini 65% form factors, the lineup combines Razer™ Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, true 8000 Hz HyperPolling, and a suite of advanced input controls to deliver cleaner, faster, and more consistent commands.

“The Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz line reflects our approach to technologies at Razer,” said Barrie Ooi, Head of PC Gaming Division at Razer. “While our analog optical keyboards remain the benchmark for players seeking the absolute best in esports performance, the Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz line is designed for competitive players looking for the best magnetic keyboard.”

Engineered for Magnetic Precision.

At the heart of the lineup are Razer™ Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, engineered for consistent, accurate inputs through magnetic sensing. With adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, players can fine-tune how each key responds – from ultra-fast inputs for competitive scenarios to more deliberate control for everyday play.

Rapid Trigger Mode allows keys to reset dynamically based on movement rather than a fixed reset point, enabling faster repeated inputs during high-speed gameplay. Combined with a 100-million keystroke lifespan, the switches are built to deliver long-term durability and consistent performance.

Blistering Speed. Near-Zero Latency.

True 8000 Hz HyperPolling delivers faster signal updates between keyboard and system, cutting input delay so actions hit the screen the moment they happen, even during rapid directional changes and fast execution.

In testing with all keyboards set to 0.1 mm actuation and 8000 Hz polling, the Razer™ HE Magnetic switches achieve a 0.60 ms average latency, an 8% advantage over the nearest competing HE magnetic keyboard tested[1].

Tuned Feel. Balanced Sound.

Beyond performance, the lineup is tuned for keystroke feel and acoustics, delivering a more controlled and consistent typing experience.

Each keypress is engineered for smooth, stable actuation, paired with a balanced sound profile that stays satisfying through extended gameplay and daily typing.

Every Input, a Competitive Advantage.

The Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz line introduces a new generation of advanced input controls built for modern competitive play.

Razer™ Snap Flex enables two actions to be assigned to a single key—one on press and another on release—allowing players to create precisely timed action sequences with a single input. For example, a player can begin preparing a grenade on key press, then have the grenade release and jump trigger simultaneously on key release, making timing-critical plays easier and more consistent to execute.

Dynamic Keystroke allows up to four actions to be mapped to a single keystroke based on actuation depth, enabling advanced combos, layered controls, and multi-step actions from a single key. Combined with Instant Cancel Control, players can instantly cancel unwanted follow-up actions when the situation changes, giving them greater control over every input and helping them adapt faster in the heat of battle.

Dual-Keypress Priority protects intended movement inputs from accidental keypresses, ensuring movement remains consistent even when additional directional keys are pressed. This helps players maintain smoother movement and more reliable control during intense gameplay.

Together, these advanced input technologies give players greater control over not just when a key actuates, but how each input behaves throughout every action.

Tune on the Fly. Compete Anywhere.

In addition to full customization through Razer Synapse for PC and quick onboard adjustments directly on the keyboard, the Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz line now supports Synapse Web for browser-based control with no software installation required.

With Synapse Web, players can make essential adjustments on the fly, save settings to onboard profiles, and keep their preferred configurations consistent across personal PCs, shared setups, LANs, and tournament environments.

Magnetic, Mastered.

This is Razer’s benchmark for the magnetic category: precision, true 8000 Hz speed, and control that makes every action intentional.

The Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz line gives competitive players everything they need to perform when it matters most, and defines what a magnetic esports keyboard should be.

For more information on the Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz line, visit https://rzr.to/huntsman-v3-he-magnetic-8k.

[1] Testing was done across 20 measurements with all keyboards set to 0.1 mm actuation and 8000 Hz polling rate. Percentage is rounded to the nearest whole number. Latency is measured from the moment of actuation of the switch to the signal being received at the USB port on the host device. End-to-end latency might defer depending on test setup and devices used.

The Sinking City 2 Releases 12+ Minute Gameplay Trailer

Today, Frogwares has released a new 12-minute gameplay trailer for The Sinking City 2, its upcoming Lovecraftian survival horror game launching on August 18, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The new trailer features never-before-seen gameplay captured in the Arkham Fish Market, once a bustling waterfront hub alive with merchants, dockworkers, fishermen, and travelers. Today, it stands as a decaying monument to the evacuated city. Rusting ships sit abandoned in the harbor, empty storefronts line the flooded halls, and the workshops that once supported the local fleets have long since fallen silent. Eldritch monstrosities now stalk the market’s walkways, while only the most unhinged survivors remain, as the flood seeps further and further into their minds.

The footage also offers a closer look at protagonist Calvin Rafferty in combat, showcasing more advanced weapons and the tougher encounters awaiting players as they face larger, deadlier, and increasingly unpredictable horrors.
