Every relic hunter knows the feeling: you fight your way past a pack of sharp-eyed archers, uncover a well-hidden treasure stash, open the lid… and find a single, rather pathetic Dogbane inside. Those days are over. Today, Paraglacial and THQ Nordic have released a new update for the first-person action RPG Fatekeeper, currently in Early Access on Steam.
We know the wait has been a long one, so thank you for your patience – here’s what the update brings:
- Fatekeeper now features full controller support (with a bit of extra polish for certain menus still to come).
- Five new languages join the adventure: German, French, Russian, Ukrainian and Simplified Chinese, with more to follow.
- A long list of gameplay tweaks brings new clubs and amulets, a reworked inventory with an alchemy belt, more rewarding chests, roughly 15% faster movement, stronger spells and traps – and enemy archers who no longer hit with quite such uncanny precision.
- Bloodier, more visceral melee combat and optional health bars for boss enemies make every fight hit harder.
- An Unreal Engine update and improved Medium settings help the game run smoother on more systems.
And yes, this patch is all about polish rather than new content – but the team is already hard at work on the latter, and we can’t wait to share more with you soon.
