October 3, 2016 – Space Hulk: Deathwing, the upcoming first-person shooter set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, showcases some of its big guns in a new video! Space Hulk: Deathwing is the adaptation of the Space Hulk board game, developed on Unreal Engine 4 by the team behind E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, Streum On Studio. As the Terminators from the Dark Angels’ first Company purify the Space Hulk from the Xenos menace, witness the gunplay of with a selection of the available weapons, the environments and the atmosphere of the upcoming game.

Deathwing Terminators carry some of the biggest and most powerful weapons available in the Imperium. Even the smallest of the weapons they employ, the Storm Bolter, is typically a mounted weapon, firing rocket-propelled shells in place of bullets. The trailer showcases some of the deadly assortment of firearms, melee and energy weapons you will wield: the classic Storm Bolter is here of course, alongside Redemption, a unique spread-shot variant capable of ricocheting shots around corners. The Heavy Flamer can lay fire on walls and floors, cutting off choke points and punishing those who dare cross the line. The Storm Shield can withstand heavy enemy fire, and the Thunder Hammer carries so much latent power that striking it upon either surface and flesh causes an area-of-effect shockwave around the point of impact.

The labyrinthic Space Hulk that you will be exploring is dark and dangerous, infested by Xenos. At any time, Genestealers can ambush you, making use of the walls, floorspaces, and ceiling vents. The once-dormant Genestealers have made the Space Hulk their home, and will use every advantage they can get to strike you and your team from your blind spots, and pounce on you from above. True to their swarm-like social structure, they will behave accordingly and may even fall back to regroup, in order to attack again in greater numbers.

Turtle Beach Elite Pro Headset and TAC Unit Review

Recently, we got the chance to check out the Turtle Beach Elite Pro Headset and Tactical Audio Controller (T.A.C.) unit, two of the company’s newest products. The Elite Pro is geared specifically for tournament gamers and has a lot of qualities that should be of use to those gamers or, for that matter, any hardcore gamer! The Elite Pro Headset features a strong, yet flexible body with sleek gunmetal, black, and orange color scheme bound to open up conversations with those wondering what kind of headset it is. The Tactical Audio Controller is an option, $200 addition to the Elite Pro Headset which performs some nice audio processing and customization.

Elite Pro Tournament Gaming Headset

Built for tournament gamers, the Elite Pro is replete with comfort-focused features. The best of these is what Turtle Beach calls the ComforTec system. This system  is a really ingenious way to get the proper headset fit, every time you put it on your head. There are two sliders on the top of the headband, one on each side, that allow you to independently adjust the fit. The cool part is that they have a numbered measurement system next to the slider so you can know what size is best suited to your head. Furthermore, each earcup also has some slight independent motion – allowing you to get the best fit possible. Speaking of ear cups, the Elite Pro ear cups are made of a very comfortable foam material with an inner core of gel! They are very soft and a joy to wear for hours of gaming. If you wear gaming eyewear or simply eyeglasses, you can wear them with the headset by flipping a switch that create a small channel in the ear cups for the arms of the glasses.

The Tactical Audio Controller is a small black box with some slider controls as well as a silver knob on the front of it. The TAC’s sliders control game volume, the background noise limiter, outbound microphone volume boost, and the microphone monitor level. The silver knob adjusts the overall volume of the headphones. On the top of the TAC you will find numerous audio input and outputs – both for your PC as well as game consoles. The TAC unit is the only way to get 7.1 channel virtual surround sound from the Elite Pro Headset, and it handles audio processing really well – the sound output is great and really helps immerse you into your game.

Elite Pro Tactical Audio Controller (T.A.C.)

Star Wars Battlefront sounds stunning while listening to the game through the Elite Pro Headset and TAC unit. The sound is crisp, full of body, and very pleasing to listen to. Switching gears to Master of Orion, a new 4X space strategy game, I was also pleased at how the headset and TAC unit performed in lower-volume, more intimate conditions. The Elite Pro lineup is great for both loud and soft audio environments.

Overall, the Turtle Beach Elite Pro Headset and TAC unit are not only excellent products for the tournament gamers, but any gamer seeking excellent audio performance while playing their favorite titles. Both the Elite Pro Headset and TAC unit retail for $199.95 each, while a bundle pack can be purchased for $399.95.

Hybrid Wars Launch and Intro Cinematic

September 29, 2016 — Mercenaries around the world can now officially start accepting contracts on Hybrid Wars which has released today on Steam and GOG.com. Developed by Extreme Developers, Hybrid Wars combines the best elements of dynamic top-down shooters, massive distinctive worlds, a variety of challenging missions and a collection of diverse mechs to wage war on all who stand in the way.

“There are a lot of FPSs and MMOs on the market, but we wanted to do something different, something we used to enjoy back in the ‘90s and we decided to create a top-down shooter heavily inspired by that deep feeling of nostalgia,” said Denis Sidorov, CEO of Extreme Developers. “After meeting the guys from WG Labs, we realized they felt the same about our passion and could help us make our dream come true. Square Enix Unveils New York Comic-Con Lineup

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, the RTS videogame adaptation of Games Workshop’s classic tabletop game by Tindalos Interactive today releases a new faction – the Tau Empire – along with an explosive trailer. The Tau are playable in the multiplayer modes of Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, as well as in Skirmish mode against the AI.

The alien Tau Empire has rapidly expanded across the galaxy, aided by highly advanced technology and a total dedication to the Greater Good philosophy. Their fleets excel at long range, with powerful weapons dealing massive amounts of damage from afar. Skilled Tau admirals can eliminate the bulk of an enemy fleet before they can even get within boarding distance. Simply install the app and connect to an internet-enabled PS4™ system or Xbox One within the same network to get the party started. A fresh batch of new screenshots of We Sing Mic were released today amid today’s harmonious collection of new assets.

In We Sing, players can sing together or go solo, climbing to the top of the online leaderboards to become the star they were born to be. Players can rock out to the game’s tracks in 12 game modes, create playlists for nonstop play, sing along with the original artists or to each song’s instrumental tracks for an authentic karaoke experience, turn their console into a music channel in Jukebox mode, and much more.

We Sing builds on the success of the original series for Nintendo Wii, which set the bar for being the only music game to support group singing with up to four microphones. This next generation version of We Sing will offer a host of cutting edge technology and gameplay experiences for the music singing category, including unique support for up to 10 players on one system. Epic Roll: Eclipse Kickstarter Underway

September 27, 2016 – The first stand-alone expansion for the Epic Roll series comes to Kickstarter on September 27th.  Epic Roll: Eclipse invites players to don their black hats (helmets and cowls are also acceptable) as they quest to dethrone the Paladin King and plunge his realm into darkness.

Epic Roll: Eclipse is a portable, quick-playing board game combining an RPG dungeon crawl with press-your-luck mechanics.  Eclipse can be played on its own as a 2-3 player game, or along with the original Epic Roll, allowing up to 6 players to compete individually or in teams.

Eclipse’s three new (and rather sinister) playable characters, expanded treasure card deck, and support for both Quick-Play and Veteran rules make Epic Roll: Eclipse a great addition to any game collection, and a must for fans of the series.
