The retail game is due out on June 7th for the Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 platforms although it will also be released on the OnLive service. “Today marks a milestone for the videogame industry,” said Steve Perlman, OnLive Founder and CEO, “Not only is this the first time a major game pre-release PC demo is available exclusively from OnLive, but it’s the first time a game platform is encouraging gamers to buy a game on their preferred platform, whether or not that is OnLive. It shows the ubiquity of OnLive’s patented technology, both as a frictionless way to check out games for all platforms, and as a game platform itself.”
Hothead Games has released a great teaser for an upcoming game titled only “The Baconing”. Apparently, they were going to go with another name, but the domain was already registered so they went with that one, lol. The game is slated for release this Summer on the Mac, PC, and several other formats. Additional details are sketchy at best but more info is sure to follow!
“With an epic name such as ‘The Baconing’ we didn’t want to detract from one of the most memorable video game names in history, so we created a trailer that shows only the title logo. This trailer explains half of the story about how we arrived at this name, the other half of this story is down to one of our loyal fans.”
