The Beast Inside – Kickstarter Trailer

February 28, 2018 – Created by Movie Games, a Polish publisher and developer and Illusion Ray, a company that merges moviemaking with the game industry experience, begun its Kickstarter funding on 20th February and has already surpassed the 50% funding mark. Genre enthusiasts and gamers welcomed the campaign with tremendous excitement and support for The Beast Inside, having already reached more than a half of the $47,294 goal, with $25,324 in pledges with the deadline for reaching the goal is April 1st.

The Beast Inside is a narrative-driven horror experience, with photorealistic graphics that utilize the full potential of Unreal Engine 4. providing a beautiful setting that allows players to uncover the dark mysteries of the past.

There’s plenty to discover in The Beast Inside, as the narrative follows Adam – a young C.I.A. cryptanalyst, who moves to a house in remote location and intends to work peacefully in seclusion to break a Soviet code, which could be the key to turning the tide of the Cold War. In the house, Adam finds the diary of Nicolas, a mysterious man living more than hundred years ago, in the Civil War era. Uncovering a terrible secret, the past comes alive and haunts Adam and his family. Their lives are at stake, but how are the events from the American Civil War connected to the Cold War reality?

Ubisoft Acquires 1492 Studio

PARIS – February 28, 2018 – Today, Ubisoft announced the acquisition of 1492 Studio, a game development studio specializing in the development of free-to-play episodic and interactive stories on mobile.

Founded in 2014 and based near Montpellier, France, the team at 1492 Studio created the successful mobile franchise “Is it Love?”

“Is it Love?” is a series of interactive dramas in which a player’s choices shape their storyline, determines their discoveries and deepens their relationships in the game. “Is it Love?” enthralling narratives, stylized artwork and interactive design have helped make it one of the top five grossing mobile simulation games in France and one of the top 20 in the U.S.

“‘Is It Love?” already is one of the leaders in episodic, narrative-driven mobile games, with a highly-engaged community of players,” said Jean-Michel Detoc, executive director of Ubisoft Mobile. “This deal is in keeping with our strategy of reaching new audiences through smart, targeted, and highly profitable acquisitions.”

“We are delighted to join Ubisoft. “Is It Love?” is already a fast growing success, and we believe that with Ubisoft’s international network and marketing power the series has the potential to become known and enjoyed all over the world,” said Claire and Thibaud Zamora, co-founders of 1492 Studio.

This acquisition of 1492 Studio is expected to be immediately accretive to Ubisoft’s earnings. The acquisition was completed on February 28, 2018. Additional terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

Frostpunk Releases New Video

Marvel Universe Unites for Children’s Charities

February 27, Los Angeles, Calif.—The Walt Disney Company today announced Marvel: The Universe Unites, an epic charity campaign combining the super powers of the cast of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War to help support children’s charities. The week-long event will see stars of the movie team up for a series of hero acts and social media challenges to provide funds and raise awareness for charities that support children and families impacted by serious illness. The initiative will culminate the weekend of March 3 when shopDisney.com and Disney stores in the U.S. will donate 10% of sales of all Marvel products made between March 3-4, 2018 (up to $50,000) to Make-A-Wish® to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

“This movie has one of the greatest ensemble casts of all time, and we are challenging them to use their collective might to benefit children’s charities,” said Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media. “We’re kicking off by inviting some of the world’s biggest stars to get creative on social media to support Starlight Children’s Foundation, a charity that works to bring joy and comfort to hospitalized children and their families.”

As part of Marvel Studios: Hero Acts, a charitable initiative launched in 2016, some members of the cast of Avengers: Infinity War will receive a special toy care package filled with new products celebrating their Marvel character to be donated to children’s hospitals.

Their mission? To take a creative picture or video to reveal the new toys to fans and post it to their Facebook, Instagram or Twitter channels using #HeroActs. When their collective posts hit a million likes, they will unlock a $250,000 US donation to Starlight Children’s Foundation® from Marvel.

The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle to Return for Limited Engagement

February 27, 2018 – Universal Studios Hollywood springs into March with the return of the dazzling light projection spectacular, “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle,” at “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” for a limited engagement.

As night falls on Hogsmeade village, “The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle” shines brightly with an awe-inspiring spectacle that showcases the four houses of Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin and culminates with awesome beams of lights that fan into the night sky.

The colorful state-of-the-art light display and special effects projection is accompanied by a special musical arrangement created by Academy Award-winning composer John Williams based on his original scores composed for the film series. The musical arrangement that emanates in a surround sound environment was conducted by prolific arranger William Ross and recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra in London.

(Feb. 27, 2018) – Steel Wool Studios is thrilled to announce the release of The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calthnow live on Steam Early Access — the first Warhammer 40k game that challenges you to command Ultramarine Legionnaires and defend the Imperium in larger-than-life Virtual Reality. Experience The Horus Heresy with an original narrative, characters and conflict from esteemed Black Library author, Rob Sanders. Horus Heresy fans around the world can finally feel like they are really there and master the ultimate living battlefield in a “human-scale” interactive experience.

The Horus Heresy: Betrayal at Calth is a tactical turn-based strategy game based on Games Workshop’s fan-favorite Betrayal at Calth tabletop game, set during the Horus Heresy era. Betrayal at Calth includes a single-player campaign and multiplayer PvP skirmish mode, built for VR and also available with cross-platform play on PC.

Set in the 31st Millennium on the planet of Calth, you play as Magos Ohmnal Sarc, a tech priest of the Mechanicus caught in conflict as Brother Legions of Space Marines take arms against one another. When Sarc discovers corrupted data in the data stream, he must tactically command his unit of noble Ultramarines against a faction of traitorous Word Bearers. Out-wit and thwart their devious plot to corrupt the Imperium and disrupt the future of mankind.

Early Access unfolds the devious initial chapter of a sprawling five-part campaign. Single-player mode includes a five-map narrative where players control units of Space Marine Legionaries and guide them through the underground arcologies of Calth. PvP Multiplayer has four maps and two play modes (Deathmatch and Objective Based). Pick your side and play either as the Ultramarines or the traitorous Word Bearers. Proceeding updates to include new chapters with new maps, weapons, abilities and units.

Gameplay Details:
