H1Z1 PlayStation 4 Open Beta Revealed

SAN DIEGO – April 24, 2018 – Daybreak Games® today announced that H1Z1®, the original standalone battle royale game, is coming to PlayStation® 4. Open Beta begins May 22, 2018.

H1Z1 on PS4™ is designed specifically for the console and focuses exclusively on the core elements that make battle royale exciting. The game features a new weapon progression system, fully reworked UI, and new weapons and gear.

“H1Z1 on PS4 is true battle royale mayhem. We have reimagined the game for PlayStation 4 and have designed it to accentuate the essentials of battle royale that make the genre so exciting to watch and play,” said H1Z1 Producer Terrence Yee. “We have added key gameplay differentiators to keep the game frantic and fun — an action shooter’s dream of fast-paced battle royale.”

The control scheme for H1Z1 on PS4 has been tailor-made to keep players focused on the action. H1Z1 now features a grab-and-go equipment system, simplifying loot collection and inventory management; a familiar radial weapon menu so players can quickly switch between guns and grenades; and a revamped HUD that delivers vital information at-a-glance. The crafting system has also been removed from the game.

Capitalizing on increased mobility, the PS4 edition takes H1Z1’s signature fast-paced combat one step further by introducing new gameplay progression mechanics. The game’s gas pacing has been altered to speed up the play of the match and the airdrop system has been revamped to keep players moving and invested in fights.

With the new weapon progression mechanics, players only have access to loot six level-one weapons at the start of the match and must strategically decide which airdrops to pursue if they want better level weapons and gear. Mass airdrops are released throughout the map, through which players may pick up familiar weapons like the AK and AR, as well as the new KH43, Marauder, Combat Shotgun, CNQ-09, Scout Rifle and MK46. Airdrops serve as the primary way to secure higher powered armor, which have been retooled to provide players with a health bonus.

While airdrops will be the primary method to secure leveled-up gear, special crates that contain level 2 and level 3 weapons and gear have been hidden throughout the map. Players with a more passive strategy may diligently search the world for these rare crates, which emit a low radio chatter and signal beacon when they are in proximity.

H1Z1 has been fully optimized for the PlayStation 4 and runs at 60 frames-per-second on PS4 Pro. The game’s first Closed Beta weekend starts this month, and players can sign up now at the game’s official website: www.H1Z1.com/PlayStation4

Starting today through May 22, 2018, players can preorder a special H1Z1 bundle for $29.99 for unique in-game cosmetic items that will be granted at the start of Open Beta. They’ll also be given a dynamic theme at the time of purchase. PlayStation Plus Members will receive 20% off their preorder purchase.

Fade to Silence Gets Big New Update

Vienna/Austria, Offenburg/Germany, April 24th, 2018: Explore deep canyons, a refinery located in the middle of the zone and other POIs in The Pits, the new region in Fade to Silence. The Pits also feature new gathering areas you can make use of. But being the farthest region from your refuge, you need to equip the best gear you can muster.

Video showcasing the new region on YouTube:

New Followers
On top of that, two new companions join the fold! Say hello to Ezra and Gani!

Ezra “The Alchemist” managed to survive for a very long time, despite the harsh conditions, which is partly due to her widespread knowledge of every plant and herb that can still be found in the icy cold. Gani, “The Huntress” is determined to reverse the Eclipse’s devastating effects on the planet. Ready to take on any task, Gani expects the same of everyone else. Likewise, Gani won’t hesitate to call out faults in camp leadership when she sees them.

New Threats
Our Tech-Artists and VFX Artists did a tremendous job to introduce a new threat into the game. The snow tornado roams the canyons of The Pit and forces you to be extremely careful when you explore the new area.

New Refuge Upkeep System
We implemented a new upkeep system for the refuge. From now on, your followers in the camp are affected by the amount of firewood and food you have stored in the refuge. They also start to use resources that are stored in the refuge stash.

Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich Announced by RLJE Films

LOS ANGELES, April 23, 2018 – RLJE Films, a brand of RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE), has acquired all North American rights to highly anticipated horror movie Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich. The reimagining of the Full Moon Features cult classic stars Thomas Lennon (TV’s “Reno 911!”), Jenny Pellicer (TV’s “Cocaine Godmother”), Nelson Franklin (TV’s “Veep”), Charlyne Yi (This is 40), Michael Pare (Eddie and the Cruisers), and Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator). The iconic Udo Kier (Brawl in Cell Block 99) stars as the titular character. Written by S. Craig Zahler (Bone Tomahawk) and directed by Sonny Laguna (We Are Monsters) and Tommy Wiklund (Wither), RLJE Films plans to release the movie in theaters in August 2018.

Dallas Sonnier and Amanda Presmyk produced Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich for Cinestate, the Texas-based entertainment company that recently acquired Fangoria magazine. This shall be the first feature released under the resurrected Fangoria label. Sonnier and Zahler courted original franchise creator Charles Band for the right to produce an all new take on the idea, with Band serving as Executive Producer.

“We are incredibly excited to be able to bring the first film under the new Fangoria brand to audiences this summer,” said RLJE Films’ Chief Acquisitions Officer Mark Ward. “With an amazing script from S. Craig Zahler and performances from horror legends Barbara Crampton and Udo Kier, we know Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich will thrill fans of the original films and new audiences alike.”

In Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, recently divorced and reeling, Edgar (Lennon) returns to his childhood home to regroup his life. When Edgar finds a nefarious looking puppet in his deceased brother’s room, he decides to sell the doll for some quick cash at a small-town convention celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. Girl-next-door Ashley (Pellicer) and his comic book shop boss, Markowitz (Franklin), join Edgar for the doomed road trip. All hell breaks loose when a strange force animates the puppets at the convention, setting them on a bloody killing spree that’s motivated by an evil as old as time.

In addition to the talented cast and filmmakers involved in Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, the legendary Fabio Frizzi (Zombi 2, The Beyond) composed the score for the movie and two-time finalist of Syfy’s FACE-OFF, Tate Steinsiek, served as puppet creator/SFX artist.

Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich maintains all of the brutally inventive puppet kills infused with the comedic tendencies that made the original franchise so popular with fans, while expanding upon Toulon’s backstory and developing richer dialogue, characters, and narratives.

The original Puppet Master is an American horror movie franchise that focuses on a group of anthropomorphic puppets, each equipped with their own unique and dangerous device. Produced by Band and his Full Moon Features label, the series was established in 1989 with the eponymous first installment, which has since been followed by numerous sequels, comic books, collector’s items and toys.

Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich was also produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura (1492) and Mark Vahradian (Transformers). It was executive produced by Adam Donaghey (A Ghost Story), Johnathan Brownlee (The Incident at Sparrow Creek Lumber), Wayne Marc Godfrey (The Foreigner), Robert Jones (The Usual Suspects), Rick Prince (Enuattii) and Red Sanders (A Bad Idea Gone Wrong). Frequent Laguna & Wiklund partner David Liljeblad also produced.

Ward and Jess De Leo from RLJE negotiated the deal with Sonnier on behalf of Cinestate.

Total War: Thrones of Britannia Land of Hope Trailer

The 23rd of April marks St. George’s Day, and the release of a new cinematic trailer in which A Total War Saga: THRONES OF BRITANNIA pays homage to its English heritage.

View the trailer here:

The next release from the multi-award-winning Total War strategy series takes England and the British Isles as its setting, during a time of great change that would come to define it.

“It was under Alfred the Great and his immediate successors that a unified Anglo-Saxon kingdom was first forged.” said Thrones of Britannia Game Director, Jack Lusted. “As the only major kingdom left standing after the Viking Invasion, it was under the banner of Wessex that the lands the Great Viking Army had conquered, known as the Danelaw, were retaken. The name of this kingdom changed from Wessex to England.”

The Anglo-Saxons had conquered the land and united the people, mixing and merging cultures that originated in Germany, Scandinavia, and Europe.

“The reconquest of the Danelaw led to an adoption of many elements of Viking culture, some of which persist today. A number of towns across Northern England bear Viking names for instance, and there are well over a hundred common English terms that can be traced back to Nordic origins.”

This new English kingdom would go on to be seized by William the Conqueror in 1066 at the Battle of Hastings.

A Total War Saga: THRONES OF BRITANNIA will be available from 3rd of May and is available to pre-order digitally from SEGA approved digital retailers* with a 10% discount. Additionally, Creative Assembly will donate 25% of their profit from every pre-sale of Thrones of Britannia from now until launch, to War Child UK.

Further details on THRONES OF BRITANNIA can be found on the Steam page, here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/712100/Total_War_Saga_Thrones_of_Britannia

Archangel: Hellfire delivers intense off-rails VR warfare and explosive combat, adding two new game modes, including a Cooperative Mode and by popular demand, a brand new Team Deathmatch / PvP mode, along with all-new maps and new classes of mechs. Archangel: Hellfire will be available worldwide on June 28 for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Archangel: Hellfire will be available as a free update for players who own Archangel. “Archangel: Hellfire will deliver the most intense and immersive multiplayer mech combat that players have ever experienced,” said Peter Akemann, President of Skydance Interactive. “The team is working hard to bring the player-versus-player off-rails combat that fans have been asking for, and really embody that fantasy of piloting a giant building-sized mech. And with the free team PvP multiplayer experience, all VR gamers will soon have a chance to hop into the cockpit and prove their mettle.”

At the end of the 21st century, the world is in ruins as a consequence of a deadly ecological disaster. Countries are now under the control of HUMNX, a tyrannical corporation born out of a desire to “heal the world,” no matter the human cost. Leading the opposition are the United States Free Forces, who are waging a war of resistance against HUMNX to try and take back their freedom. Armed with an experimental weapon, The Archangel, the resistance has landed a serious blow on HUMNX, but the war is just beginning. HUMNX resources are plentiful, and while they may have lost a decisive battle, they have been working on weapons of their own to face off against Archangel-class mechs.

Archangel: Hellfire introduces the new Team Deathmatch mode, in which players and their squad will pilot six-story high war machines and engage in an all-out 2v2 PvP battle for the control of a post-apocalyptic world, aligning with either the United States Free Forces or HUMNX corporation. In addition, players can jump into Archangel: Hellfire’s Cooperative Mode, and face off against a horde of enemies in solo or co-op gameplay.

The game adds four new maps to face off in brutal post-apocalyptic battlegrounds with highly destructible features, six new warrior mechs and three distinct classes, each with their own powerful abilities and custom weapon systems, and all-new fully functional cockpit controls.

State of Mind Pre-Order Info and Teaser Trailer

Friday, April 20, 2018 — The release of Daedalic’s futuristic 3D thriller State of Mind is now in sight. The game will be available in summer 2018 for PC (incl. Mac/Linux) as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. State of Mind is now available for preorder on Steam and GOG. The MSRP for the PC version is 29,99 Euro/USD and 39,99 Euro/USD on consoles.

Berlin, 2048 – The world is on the brink. Lack of resources, illnesses caused by polluted air and water, crime on the rise, war. Governments and companies promise remedies through technological progress. Drones and humanoid robots replace humans in the public sector, everything is interconnected, surveillance has become omnipresent.

State of Mind lets players dive deep into a futuristic scenario that in many details comes very close to our own possible future. Today’s buzzwords like AI, big data and a fully digitized daily life determine our thoughts, feelings and relationships in 2048.

In the game, main character Richard Nolan is one of the few journalists openly criticizing this development. When he wakes up in hospital after an explosion and finds that his wife and son have mysteriously vanished, Richard realizes: he and his family have become more than just bystanders in a storm of rivaling ideas pertaining humankind’s salvation between dystopian reality and digital utopia. Instead, they find themselves right at the center of it.

This domestic drama evolves into a thriller about a worldwide conspiracy, which at its core aims to determine the fate of humanity: Could a perfect digital utopia be the answer? A virtual paradise not affected by material needs and quarrels? Could a super-AI be our savior – or would it simply declare us as dispensable since it could not be taught the value of philanthropy?

What will the world look like after this storm, what will remain of humanity?

State of Mind offers a thrilling plot around these essential questions. Developed in Unreal, the game provides a unique low-poly visual style, a deep story by author Martin Ganteföhr, several playable characters and about 15 hours of engaging gameplay.

You can preorder State of Mind now:
